 It is a nice traditional house but the toilet can be improved in term of ventilation.

I arrived at 6 in the morning due to a train delay that went over night.... I was extremely tired and although the staff was not supposed to arrive until 11 am the superintendent gave me and my boyfriend a bed to rest in before we had to actually check in. AMAZINGLY friendly and helpful.

we booked a double room with ensuite but we also got our own kitche in our room and it was very nice clean and cheap!

This Hostel is fantastic! The location is excellent, right on a little bend in the river and 2 minutes walk from the main square. The room I had was fabulous, very cute and clean, as was the rest of the place. Matina (the caretaker) was lovely and helpful.
I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

This place was a real find, just on the edge of the old town. Security was an issue, however, as any key could open any door! Also, management is an issue here, since change was non existant when paying the bill. Upon returning several hours later, there was still no change. The smugness of the girl leads me to suggest that this is in fact a scam to fleece tips out of tourists. Nice place, though.

Free internet, comfy beds, you get to write on the doors!! A short walk across the bridge there is a cheap pub with good big meals!!

Beautiful rustic hostel with a great balcony overlooking the river. It is very relaxed, comfortable and clean and you can get anywhere very quickly. Great stay all round. Recommended.

We stayed at Pension Merlin not the actual hostel. It was an excellent room, great value for money, nicely decorated and had an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen was terrific as was the beautiful garden. As this is not an actual hostel it did not have a party atmosphere but for mature guests it is perfect. The only negative, albeit small, was that the pension is located up a hill and we had to carry our heavy luggsge up a lot of steps. That was bit of a drag, but hey, excercise is good..... so they say!

A good point and the inexpensiveness of the geographical convenience are attractive.But I cannot sleep because it is Hostel because a lot of youths are noisy by the case.

Such a cute, firnedly and good value formoney hostel. My boyfriend and i ha a onderful time at Merlin's. We met other lovely people, it's not a party party place but Cesky is so beautiful you just ant to relax anyway. Rooms are a little small but fine and can be very sunny in the morning, great alarm clock really.
