Liked: Excellent location in central Matanzas, much of everything is within walking distance and the Libertad Square a block away is a great place to hang out and absorb the magic of Cuba. If it isn't within walking distance a bus can take you there (ie. caves, beach) Evelio was a great help, giving us many tips on what to see and how to get there, though speaking Spanish helps greatly in how much help they can provide. The dinner and breakfast had here was excellent and it's nice that the breakfast is included.

Disliked: Shower was a little lacklucster in the pressure and temperature department, but definitely not a dealbreaker.

Liked: I stayed with Evelio and Isel and i'm telling u -that was a great introduction to a cuban hospitality upon my arrival to this marvelous country. their lovely apartment is like 1block away from the main square of matanzas. the room i stayed was very nice and had a lovely balcony. of course it was safe, of course it was clean but most imortant thing is that i can easly say that in this great couple i found good friends on which i could count! Liked: Evelio und Isel sind Freunde geworden. Das Hostal liegt mitten im Zentrum und wir sind bei Abreise nochmals dorthin zurückgekehrt.Sie geben alles um zu helfen!!Isel kocht wunderbar und es lohnt sich nicht ein Restaurant zu suchen. In Matanzas gibt es kaum welche.Eins der Zimmer ist mit Airkondition und kleinem Kühlschrank, das andere nicht. Beide sind mit einem Doppelbett und einem Einzelbett ausgestattet und die Dusche ist gemeinsam nutzbar.Alles in allem nur zu empfehlen!

Liked: My whole budget for the trip fell out of hand because this hostel did not honor made booking agreement and costs. Never Cuba again.
