Originally the mansion of a French marquis, it is now completely restored according its original patterns. In this place, cuban and foreign aristocrats, military authorities, recognized artists and all kind of important personalities used to gather in the afternoons of colonial Havana. The atmosphere is almost sacred in the hostal, resembling the religious chambers where silence is a common practice. A cooper statue of a monk at the very entrance makes you feel like entering to a medieval abbey, while the quite central courtyard is bathed by a clear water coming from a fountain.
