Liked: Bags of character. The rooms are beautifully set around the court yard. Some nice spots to sit and read and a fantastic location for exploring Habana Vieja (Old Havana).

Disliked: I was in the small single room at the back of the hotel above the kitchen - not great if you're a light sleeper (tho it was fine for me).

Liked: beautiful scenery and great location!

Disliked: the rooms differed a lot from each other. My sister was in the upper room, which was twice as small as the rooms downstairs and where there was only a very loud airconditioning. My parents had a lot of trouble with a leaking airconditioning and a lack of shower water.. Probably not only faults of the lcoation though, but also of Cuba in general..

Liked: clean rooms, excellent restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff - some of whom do speak English

Disliked: Nothing to dislike, room perhaps a little small but it was only a single and of course Cuban air conditioning is a little ""noisy"". But hey, thats all part of experiencing new countries ....

Liked: Unique Hostel and setting. Location was excellent. Quite a noisey place due to it's architectural design. In terms of value for money probably 15% too much.

Liked: Likes are listed above. Criticism follows. Arrived at midnight on first day after very long flights. Was told the hotel was full despite having booked several months in advance. Were relocated to if anything more expensive hotel just round the corner so there was not a big problem. But I do expect to get the hotel I book well in advance.

Liked: The location is by far the biggest plus about this Hostel. For what you pay I'd expect a bit more, considering you only have to pay another £20 to get a 4 star hotel standard elsewhere.

Liked: Charm and character, some (not all!) friendly staff in very trying circumstances, lovely food, beautiful surroundings. Often the site for quince anos parties (15 years)

Liked: Position and historic character of the place fantastic, lots of charm. We think other rooms were probably better and classier than the one we had allocated to us which was very basic and not worth the money.
