Liked: I love the location of this place. Really oceanfront, lots of light and lots of air. has beautiful sea views and only 20 minute walk along the boardwalk to old havana . delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and juices. they recommended very good houses in Varadero and Viñales.

Liked: I spent a very happy week here with my boyfriend. The friendly, obliging, and trustworthy hostess and staff, clean and comfy room, and tasty breakfasts were especially appreciated, and I LOVED being right next to the ocean. Decent little restaurant right next door. Definitely recommend!

Disliked: We ran out of hot water--and water of any temperature--a few times, but of course I don't imagine the hostess had any control over this and it was never for more a few hours.

Liked: The owners were very friendly, helped us, breakfast and dinner were very good, I really liked the position a beautiful ocean view and also near the center of the tourist installations. We think back and recommend it to friends.

Liked: I don't blieve there is any better way to stay in Cuba, the host family is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, the view on the sea breath-taking and the rooms and the breakfast first class :)

Liked: You have a nice view on the sea and the owners of the house are friendly.

Disliked: I didn't like the food (there were ants in the honey). And it was a bit far from the center (Havanna vieja), you had to walk much or take a taxi... There is also no air conditioning (in every other casa we had air conditioning). I am not sure if it was a official casa because they didn't want to see our passport...

Liked: The location was great - overlooking the Malecon (and ocean), and while it was not in the old town this provided a good opportunity to walk into town along the Malecon and see more of Habana. Using casa particulars is a great way to see Cuba, and this one was no exception - our hosts were friendly and obliging, the dinner and breakfasts provided (for a cost) were brilliant.

Liked: Amazing location, the best part is sitting on the wall along Malacon at sunset and meeting locals

Disliked: The water restricting in the building can mean toilets don't flush and showers can be limited. Not a dislike just a heads up.

Liked: I really liked the house. My flight was delayed so I arrived very late at the place and even though they received me with a great smile. The place was very clean and the view of the sea was stunning, the same as the sea wind which was very refreshing, and I also had air-conditionning in the room in case it were too hot in the lovely Caribbean island. The food was excellent and so was the breakfast and 'mojitos' -a typical Cuban drink-The hosts gave me good tips as to where to go and what to do.

Disliked: nothing, I enjoyed everything.

Liked: We travelled as a group of 6 so we used all three rooms at this beautiful house. Chely and her husband are an absolute delight and we had an excellent stay with them. We enjoyed our stay so much we came back to stay with them again at the end of our trip. Better for couples than for party animals.

Disliked: Some of the toilet flushes were a little less robust than Cuban cuisine requires. Rooms could get too hot at night.

Liked: The hostel is located directly at the Malecon and it's not far to the main attractions. The rooms are spotlessly clean. They serve a real good breakfast for a small extra fee containing fresh juice and fruits. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and offer you a lot of informations.

Liked: I really like the view. It's a amazing view of the sea and the city. They have a terrace where you can sit and read and have something to eat while you look at the beautiful Havana Malecon and feel the sea wind. The food was great. Make sure to try their lobster! I also had breakfast at the place which was very convenient and delicious. The staff was very friendly. They were delighted to have me at their place and they made sure I had an awesome time. I consulted them about good places to visit and have fun in the city, they gave me good tips about it. The place was very clear and cozy.

Disliked: It was a little bit noisy because the apartment is placed in a very centric part of the city but that was also great for moving around so the noise was not big deal then. We could sleep very well.

Liked: Fabulous panoramic view from the balcony on the Malecón looking at the sea down to El Morro. (to see the location you can search Google Earth for the coordinates of the house 23° 8'30.59"N, 82°22'28.65"W). The house is located near 23rd Avenue and easy walking distance to restaurants and shops, and taxis are plentiful just outside the door. The hosts are great and accommodating. Guests have keys to allow access without assistance any time of the day or night. The house is immaculately clean and breakfasts were great. Highly recommend staying here. Great value and a good cultural experience compared to hotels.

Disliked: The attraction of being on the Malecón comes with the downside of noise. If you are not a sound sleeper bring ear plugs. As with most of the buildings in Havana the exterior can be a bit frightening. The hosts spoke little English, but that was the same with most staff in some expensive hotels. Don't stay here if you are expecting the Ritz, but for the price and the excellent hospitality it is a great place.

Liked: Definitely the best bed I slept in in all of my time in Cuba. The balcony is beautiful and it's a gorgeous walk to either Vedado (very close) or Havana Vieja (bit of a longer walk, but not far at all - about 10 blocks maybe.)

Disliked: A bit set off from the main street (though the balcony does overlook the Malecon directly) so it was sort of difficult to find at first.

Liked: The people are all very kind!Everything we needed, the owners helped us to get it. I highly recommend this place. It's safe, good location, clean, comfortable, and has a GREAT BALCONY!!!!
