Liked: The Martha's Guest house is very clean, tidy and full of taste of art. You will find your room is better than those of some of the 5-star hotels in Havana. Some of my friends booked Hotel President which is just 5 minutes away from Martha's, but its room is quite small and the smell was terrible. They told me that Martha's is much better then their hotel. Martha, the hostess, was a proud, polite and kind and pretty lady. She arrange everything properly and just as it should be. The room is decorated with a very good taste. The room is quite large and spacious for us.

Disliked: The location is not very good for us, because it is about 5km away from the recreation lots in old central Habana, 5 cuc by taxi. The rooms are too clean and tidy for us to make us really relax. We should be very careful to keep every thing clean. Ms.Martha was too courtesy and polite to make us feel in home. Perhaps we are more keen on a place full of enthusiasm.

Liked: Martha was very helpful and friendly. Our flights got messed up and she was still able to accommodate us.

Disliked: It is quite a walk circa 20-30 mins to the Old Town but a nice walk along the Malecon if you want a leisurely stroll and you can get a Taxi which will cost CUC 5 so not to pricey

Liked: Quiet place, friendly and secure

Disliked: Location: too far away from Habana Vieja. Price is quite high if compared to other Casa Particulares in the old city with similar facilities.

Liked: Nelda and her husband were great. Marta was out of town but the location is beautiful and we loved our stay. Room is clean and secure.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Marta and her family are extremely welcoming and helpful, the views are stunning and the breakfasts were excellent. The standard of the fittings etc is similar to hotels where you might have to pay three times as much, and Marta's flat has more character. Highly recommended.

Liked: Large, clean, well furnished,rooms. Building in good confition in quiet friendly neighbourhood.

Disliked: A little far from la habana centre, but only a couple of pesos in a taxi.

Liked: The property was very close to the Malecon, Hotel Havana Libre and La Rampa. Hence, it is a very good place to stay if u plan to visit Havana and Vedado. A supermarket and some farmer markets are close by. However, there is a lack of good restaurants in the area. But La Rampa is very close. So, if you are going to eat lunch in a restaurant, you have to move 5 min by foot. Martha is a very kind host and the price per room is fair. I would highly recommend you to stay with Martha. Best for your trip to Havana, Sandro

Liked: Marta is a very helpfull host, good value for money and excelent breakfast!

Disliked: Typical Cuban home with lots of decorations and figurines EVERY where, so be careful when moving your luggage around!

Liked: a very nice apartment in a nice neighborhood. even though it is not in the center it is very close and only takes a few minutes to get there by car. martha's guest house is absolutely recommendable!

Liked: This guesthouse is located in the heart of the residential part of the new town, just a short walk from the beach. The Old Town can be reached on foot although a short taxi ride is a lot easier. The building doesn't look much from the outside but is furnished beatifully internally and a long balcony gives great views across the city towards the sea. Martha is very friendly and helpful and cooked a lovely breakfast in the morning. We would definitely recommend this as a cosy, affordable place to stay in the centre of Havana.

Disliked: The accomodation is situated on the 14th floor and only reachable via a very old elevator.

Liked: The rooms are really nice, clean and almost like a hotel, so you save a lot of money. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Martha, and the view from the balcony is fantastic! The breakfast is very delicious, and the apartment is close to some of the best places in Vedado! It is also close to old Havana, you can walk or take a cab, and the walk along Malecon is really beautiful - especially in the evening. This place is definitely worth the money!

Disliked: Did not find the friendly atmosphere or get the kind of advice from the staff as advertised in the online reviews. Property is far from the city-centre. No possibility of having meals prepared.

Liked: I really liked the place from the first time I saw it! Martha was really nice and helpful, and the room was excellent with a nice view from the 14th floor over Havana and the nearby Malecon. The atmosphere at the guesthouse was great with the furnitures and all. Very nice decorated and very charming. Everything was clean, and the bathroom was really nice with hot water in the shower whenever you wanted it. There was also a small safe to put your important papers into when going out and lot of space to put your clothing if staying for a longer period. Breakfast was served for 5 cuc every morning and was excellent.

Disliked: The elevator didn't always work, luckily there was an extra that mostly worked. But sometimes the stairs was the only option. It is also a bit difficult to find good food in the area. Not many restaurants were located around, but if you know where to go you can find something. That also means that if you want water to drink or sodas the best option is to hit the supermarket during the day. Otherwise there is a minibar at the room with waters, juice, beers and sodas which came very much in handy for me as I arrived kind of late and was very thirsty from the trip! Otherwise nothing really to dislike!

Liked: This place is awesome! Very clean and beautiful room, the view is fantastic and Martha is very nice and friendly. Also, the location is great if you like to meet other young people because it's very close to the university and we met very nice cubanians in the area close by.

Liked: Martha's Guesthouse is in a good location, and roughly 10mins from the old town/30mins from the airport. The property is beautifully furnished, very clean and spacious. Martha is helpful and friendly and gives good honest tips on things to do in Havana. She also provided a lovely breakfast at a good price. I would definately recommend our friends and family stay here if visiting Havana. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Disliked: I wouldn't recommend a guest house if you want to meet other groups of people.

Liked: Martha is a lovely lady and very friendly. She can provide you with suggestions and advice on what to do and how to do it. She also speaks english which is very helpful if you don´t speak spanish.The view from her apartment is absolutely fantastic, probably one of the best in Havana.

Disliked: Unfortunately sometimes she gets overbooked and needs to send you to another floor in the building. Level 5 looks nice so if this happens ask to go there. Refuse to go to level 17, Martha will understand. The room we stayed in on level 17 had no glass on the window and the staff tried to over charge us. To add insult to injury our toilet broke through no fault of our own and they tried to charge us for it.

Liked: medical student from london. was in a great location heart of vedado.was clean and comfortable, owner of the guest house spoke english which was a huge advantage in getting to know the area and asking any questions which arose. breakfast in the morning was probably the best meal of the day as food in cuba tends to be a bit on and off

Liked: Very clean and welcoming house with amazing views from the 14th floor of all of Havana and the sea. Also very helpful with information regarding Havana and on travelling around Cuba.
