Liked: Very clean and in a safe location, easy to get to the centre of Havana. Cosy and spacious rooms with clean bathrooms and running hot water. Will recommend the place to anyone - very good value for the money they charge for the rooms. Thank you, Marta!!!

Liked: Nice location away from the main centre in a quiet neighbourhood, friendly host, very nice room, very clean, good bathroom and shower, good place to explore havana from, a few nice bars in close proximity.

Disliked: Location may be too far away from the centre if thats where you want to spend most of your time (around an hours walk, but taxis are cheap and plentiful), not really a place to meet people, apart from that very good.

Liked: In Martha house you have really the impression to be at a lovly , clean and Martha speaking perfect english, so that she helps you wiyh yhe oriantation in Havana.tHE VIEW IS AMMEISING, YOU SEE THE oCEAN FROM FER LONG TERASSE AND YOU ENJOY THE GOOD COFFE THAT SEE PREPARE,

Liked: It is so beautiful with spacious rooms and a nice owner. Located in vedado where the night life is best in the city and also the people around look safer than the ones in centro or old havana. the cons are it is far from the real things and breakfast is not included in the price.

Liked: how to describe all in one word? PERFECT!!! we stayed at Martha`s hostel for 8 nights and it was really great! room is very nice, clean and view is great from the 14th floor. Martha speaks English good and she is very helpful. she gave us her guide and map, and showed some good points. as well one day i was sick and she took care of me as my mom would! thanks Martha for everything!all recommendation for her hostel! on the our way back to Havana we came to her place again to leave suitcases so we were free to hang out. very nice lady:)gracias por todo Martha! saludos, Irena and Bojan from Belgrade, Serbia

Liked: The home was immaculate, cozy, and comfortable. Marta was very accomodating with information and any help that we may have needed. The views from the terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast are fantastic. Location was great as well. I would reccomend Marta's Guesthouse to anyone visiting Cuba.

Liked: This is a very nice guesthouse, located on 14th floor with perfect view. Very good location, just few blocks form cnr av Presidentes and 23. They have safe box for stuff like passport and money, you hav your own key, could return whenever you own not disturbing anyone in the middle of the night. Definitely value for money

Liked: Very clean, great veiws over the avenue of presidents, got hot water& great water pressure! Many places say they have hot water but really its cold or if you're lucky luke warm!!Martha was very helpful to us, as we were trying to arrange another part of our holiday in cuba & she offered to make calls for us & arrange this free of charge to us. It was very kind of her.

Liked: A beautifully kept home, if you like art don't miss it, run by a lovely lady who really knows Cuba. Beautiful bedroom (with a free safe and fridge) en-suite facilities are excellent and breakfast was served overlooking a great view. If we ever go back to Cuba (and we may), she will be our first call.

Liked: Marta's Guest House itself is absolutely beautiful, immaculately kept antique furniture, the 14th fl apt has spectacular views of the city. Martha herself is a sweetheart. When i reached there eventually (I arrived with a printout of the Hostelbookers booking i'd made, assuming the address for the guest hse on it and found out on reaching Havana that i didn't have a street add or phone no. for the Guest House. had to use internet at the Hotel Presidente to recover this info and email Marta who immediately walked over to the hotel to fetch me) i was shown my room in an apt on the 5th floor which was also v. lovely. Alas i spent only one night there. when i got back from my conference late the next night it was to be told that my room was needed urgently 'for family purposes' and that i was being moved to another apt bldg which was much closer to the conference venue. needless to say i was v. upset, especially as the other apt was not as well appointed. In the end tho i was very happy there, it was v. clean, the owners and staff were super friendly and nice and the location couldn't be beat. Only a couple of blocks from the Malecon and one block from the Casa de las Americas where i had to be everyday. Also next door to the Hotel Presidente. in fact my room overlooked the Hotel pool.so although i found the way i was moved very jarring i think overall i still got good value for my money. If you can actually stay at Marta's apt on the 14th floor you would have lucked out. i hope to do that on my next visit.

Liked: We are in Cuba vhere he was flying a route. Tehe first three days we were staying in this house and leaving aside for the last day of the trip we returned to our country. That last night we go home late, what was our surprise that Martha told us that he could not lodge in his house and took us to her friend who was 2 floors above and not told us anything more. Upon reaching he room and gave us for asking prince, whic was our surprise it was much higher. I commented to her and her friend that was not remember the price he had paid previously, and was replay not remember the price we had paid. An the excuses wre pathetic as that room is more beautiful. Finally we looked for another room because we were really angry an not so much the price but by the arrogant attitude. Our opinion should receive the service for the home and hired on the terms aggredd upon, and if you can not give me this service we received another but always less than the price that we agreed we should have at the beginning. We fell cheated.

Liked: Nice and clean room with beautiful view on Vedado. Good breakfast. Martha helped us very much with info on Habana as well as providing us with other casa particulares throughout Cuba. We would definitely recommend this casa!

Liked: A tip for staying here is that although you can walk along the Malecon into townIt is quite a long way, so only worth doing once if the sun is blazing. So just down the roadoutside the Hotel Presidente you can jump on the open top Habana bus tour which will whizz you to downtown and all around all day for just 3 CUC

Liked: It was quiet and friendly, very peaceful. Our host was generally non-intrusive but always helpful when asked. It was very clean and everything worked well. Sheets etc were changed very regularly which was really nice, there were fantastic views a fridge in the room, and a very good value local cuban restaurant down the road.
