Liked: I kinda liked everything about it. I love Cuba and Cuban people.So I really enjoyed my staying there. Miriam and also all the other people (her parents for example) I met around there were very friendly and hospitable.Myriam spoke kinda good English. But I would have loved to talk to everyone, which unfortunately wasn't possible because of my lack of Spanish.But my plan is set up. Learning Spanish and returning to Cuba and of course to casa Miriam in 2 years.I would recommend this Hostal to everybody.

Liked: The hostel is ideally located in Centro Habana, slightly away from the main tourist areas but no further than 10 minutes walk into the old town or two minutes from the sea-front. For us the location added a lot to our trip as it offered an insight into the lives of Cubans living in Habana and seeing the true city behind the tourist sites. The rooms are spacious and clean with a fan, fridge and air-conditioning if things got too hot!! Miriam an her family are open and friendly and although Miriam speaks little English her friendly daughter is impressively multilingual. She even managed to help us with making local phone calls and tracking down a friend of mine who lives in Habana.We hope to go back to Cuba and Habana for a longer trip and when we do, we definitely plan to try and go back to this Casa.

Liked: Its a very nice casa in Centro Habana. The staff speaks perfectly English and is very helpful. Its just a nice 10 minutes walk on the classic Cuban-streets from the Capitalio (Center) and a 3 minutes walk from the sea (You can even see the carribian from the balcony).I would defenitly recommend this casa particulare!

Liked: excelent location, we stayed in vedado area before and had to take taxis all the time. But from Casa Miriam you can walk anywhere!!!

Liked: I liked it at the beginning for the first two nights. However, when I came back to the room on the third day, I opened the room to realise that there was a couple in there. All my stuff had been moved to another room without anybody telling me anything. As it was my last night, I guess I could be treated badly and put in the other room that had a window on the street and that was horribly noisy. A better room as the lady told me. APPALING!!!!!!!!!!

Liked: Beautiful House in Central Havana, a 15 minute walk away from Old Havana. Staff very helpful. Room comfortable and clean. Bathroom well equipped although sometimes water ran cold. Recommended!

Liked: centric location, good value for money, very very helpfull staff, the patiently answered my question about Cuba and the city. Staying in a house gives you the reality of cuban people. Beautifull house !!! Baths were the cleanest-prettiest I ever seen in Cuba!!!

Liked: i had a wonderful time here, even though i had problems with my money, they helped me out the best they could...my own fault but the family were really good with me and even gave me free food whilst i struggled with my finances....a credit to hostel bookers...A1 service and people and a great place to stay....thanks miriam and family...derrick gee

Liked: The family here are wonderful and very charming. The were warm and welcoming and only too happy to help. The location was perfect, very close to all the interesting attractions. I will happily recommend Casa Miriam to any fellow traveller. Enjoy your stay. Oh, and the food was delicious...

Liked: this is absolutely excelent accomodation for this price. If you prefer to stay in clean and smart colonial house , really want to know this part of Habana and to have just 10 min to historical centre, by walk, you can not choose better..
