Liked: This place was great, I was very surprised when we arrived that it had not been reviewed before, it was so clean!! I'm not saying modern as your very unlikely to find this is Havana but it was definately clean!The Owners we're great, we have no spanish and I think this would have helped, but after a few days we got around the communication no problem.Based in Vadado its approx a 5CUC ride into the centre, This can be booked at the residence or by taking a short walk to the main street.With regards meals, my other half ate breakfast at the residence every morning, at a cost of 5CUC. He was more than full and really rates the fresh juice and homemade coffee! Dinners in the evening were 10CUC and again more than enough! homemade traditional cuban food!! Great to say all we heard in our lonely planet was that cuba had no flavour!One other thing is that there was hot, not luke warm, but hot water.when you took a shower! Great perk given that most of cuba only has dripping taps.

Liked: The couple that runs the house is fantastic. They are more than helpful with any question you have for them. They even help arrange travel reservatoins if need be. Not only that, they also share interesting stories and seem to love to converse with guests (as long as you speak Spanish and can share in the conversation), The houe itself is beautiful. You breakfast in little outdoor patio with grapevines growing all over, and the food they serve is fantastic, fresh and filling. The quality of the room was great as well. I would recommend this hostel to anyone for any occassion.
