This hostel had the best reviews when I was looking for acommodation in Havana and I have to say its really good, very friendly staff and good location, and the best part is perhaps that this is what I think, and have heard, the only place that reminds me of a "normal" hostel in the sence you get to know other travellers because there are a few rooms instead of just one. /Lars from Sweden

Casa de Ania is by far the best place Íve stayed in Cuba. Ania and Alex go out of their way to make you feel welcome at the casa and its a great place to meet other travellers if youre travelling one your own. The casa is very central in Havanna and close to lots of sights, clubs and restaurants. I would recommend Casa de Ania to anyone! Oh and amazing breakfast!

Ania's place gets full pretty easily, as we found, but if she doesn't have room (even if you booked) she'll send you to one of her family/friend's places to sleep in the spare bedroom. however, this is not a bad thing - we stayed with one of her friends, who worked out to be cheaper, and still had access to everything in the hostel itself (only a block away). the only other thing is don't expect to be in central/old havana, its a fair walk (40 mins or so, but definitely worth it)

It can be difficult to meet other travelers while staying at casas particulares, but Casa de Ania is basically a shared apartment with a tv lounge, dining table, bathroom, (bare) kitchen access and best of all, free internet (usually $10/hr in official places). It's clean and secure, and the owners are super nice and helpful. It's a bit of a walk to the Old Town, but doable!

I can really recomment Casa de Ania for everyone. People in Casa and the atmosphere are really friendly and it is deffinitely safe and good place to stay in Havana (also with good location). One big bonus of this casa is that it is excellent place to meet other travellers. It is the only Casa that I have heard which works like (dorm) hostel. I will definitely return back there during my travels, and actually I did it already.

Alex and Ania run this place and there great. Cuba can be a tricky place to work out but the´ll send you on the right track! I stayed here a couple of nights, met other travelers, partied in the comunal lounge and ate together! Great place to stay!

Very friendly staff/owners. It's a good place to meet other travellers. It's maybe 20 minuttes walk to old Havana, but it`s close to Vedado and it`s a nice walk to Old town. Very clean.

I absolutely loved staying at this hostel and will definitely return. The staff are extremely helpful, welcoming and trustworthy. They treated me like family, helping me orient myself in Havana and answering all my questions. I felt totally safe, the food was delicious and well-priced, and I met a lot of interesting travellers from different parts of the world, who I went sightseeing and bar-hopping with. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and there's a nice living room & kitchen to chill out in. I loved being right in the middle of two great neighborhoods, walking distance to a lot of interesting stores, bars, clubs, cinemas, market places & the malecon. This place is a great deal, and so much fun. I only wish my vacation was longer!

Great place to stay!! Ania and her husband were great people to stay with. They were both very friendly and offered good advice about Havana. The maid Mplagros was very friendly too,she tried to teach me some Spanish along with Ania, which was good fun. The Casa is in a great location from the city center and is a excellent place to meet fellow travellers from all around the world. Mplangros does a good breakfast aswell.I would recommend the Casa to anyone visiting Havana. Regards Tim from England

I really enjoyed my stay at Ania´s house. They make me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My flight was delayed for 5 hours and they waited for me until 2am next day!!! The people I meet at the house where friendly and we spent time travelling togheter. The house is in the heart of havana , within walking distance of all amenities and intesrest place. The best in the house is the people that run it. Thank you for a wonderful time. Pedro martinez

If you are looking for knowing how is the cuban caracter and meeting some other backpackers then you have to come to Casa de Ania. Casa de Ania is the heart of Havana just some minutes from Havana Vieja and close to Vedado. Ania the owner and her husband Alex will help you with everything you need. Besides you get access to internet for free. I had a great time with them and I have the feeling that I left good friends. I strongly recommend this place

This is the best casa we stayed in in Cuba. Ania and Alex were really friendly and incredibly generous eg. got up at 6am to make sure we got a taxi to the bus station. Unfortunately we didn't eat dinner at their place but their breakfast was the best value we had all trip, with loads of fruit. We stayed in one of the two rooms in the house with Alex and Ania - bathroom not ensuite. Across the corridor is a separate unit for guests. 100% and would definitely recommend anyone going to Havana to stay here

It is in an old district of Habana with lots of character. A good location. All the rooms I saw had a window and clean sheets.

Ania made me feel right at home in Havana! She was almost my mother during my stay. She made excellent, home cooked meals and was extremely accomodating to the fact that I am vegetarian. The other staff were most helpful and kind. Great place!!!
