Liked: Staff were nice and the rooms were as well.

Disliked: It was ridiculously noisy one night with totally hammered Irish knobs in the halls between rooms shouting to each other until 5 in the morning. The staff didn't seem to do anything about it.

Liked: Close to tram stops so it was easy to get to city and other sights. The room had aircon and they offered you linen (including towels) at no extra charge.

Disliked: It was really noisy! The bathrooms weren't particularly clean and the mattresses in the rooms could use mattress protectors!

Liked: friendly staff, cooking facilities and nice toilettes. free wifi.

Disliked: rooms quite small and quite hot.

Liked: Neat rooms with aircon and comfortable beds are coupled with decent showers and a nice size kitchen and shared space (when you can get in there!). The staff are very friendly, speak good english and are always happy to help.

Disliked: Not very central, but not too far out if you get a tram from the main square. There were also loads of people sleeping in the downstairs common area so I couldn't go down there!

Liked: super friendly staff. easy to find. could organise tours at front desk. internet access

Disliked: Kitchen right beside some of the bedrooms, a party one of the nights in there made it hard to sleep. not in the center of town

Disliked: take a bicycle to enjoy the city but be aware that it is functional xD

Liked: The staff were so helpful and nice, I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Zagreb.

Liked: Location is OK, close to a tram stop. Airconditioned rooms.

Disliked: The rooms are far too small for 6 people, there is no room to store bags etc. there is also only 2 power outelts between the 6n occupants of the room. No option for breakfast provided. Having stayed there a few days before I was aware how the check-in system works - you go to the room and make an available bed using the folded sheets on the bed. On my second arrival there was only one unmade bed and 2 of us, I asked the lady at reception and she said that was how it is supposed to be. When I looked at the bed it had hair in it and had clearly already been used, the receptionist lied to me and made me stay in a dirty bed. There is only one male and one female shower for all occupants.

Liked: Awesome staff, great vibe, easy to get to and from central station, Clean fresh and affordable!

Disliked: needs to stock more booze! ;P

Liked: Nice staff, Laundry, Large kitchen, Cheap beers

Disliked: It was a bit far from the city center, about a 20-30 minute walk, but only about a 10 minute tram ride (which was easy).

Liked: Good value for the money, because it was definitely quite a budget hostel. They offered a free load of laundry, too, which was nice. The staff was very helpful and engaged in helping me see the city, and the kitchen and common room facilities and space were good size. Good value.

Disliked: The hostel was little dingy. The rooms were fine, but I felt like it was a bit dark and a little dusty. The showers were a bit broken, though not so badly that they were unusable.

Liked: The staff are nice and helpful and the atmosphere is good. It provides a relaxing atmosphere for people to make friends. It also equipes with fantastic facilities like free washing machines. The dorms are clean as well. We had a nice stay.

Disliked: It's not easy to find with the direction given by the hostel

Liked: This is the best hostel ever, for real, i really felt like home. The staff is compound by really special persons, the location is excellent and The place has all the facilities that travelers need, even more. It can be named as a 5 stars Hostel. I still have many cities and counties to visit, so i don't know if i will miss Croatia, but for sure i will miss Funk Hostel and most of all i will miss the people i met there

Disliked: Compared to other hostels, Funk is quite expensive, and for a budget traveller that makes things difficult!

Liked: Rather clean, helpful receptionists. The place had character and it's easy to find.

Disliked: Not so much a dislike, but the directions say get a tram, but it's only a 10 minute walk anyway. Zagreb is so small we found the tram lines negligible. So it's a little out of town but that's really not far at all. Also, we didn't get to check out the lounge, but it wasn't particularly lively when we were there. You might do better elsewhere if you were looking for a more homely hostel with a party attitude.

Liked: Very nice hostel, helpful staff, very clean. Club in the lobby is fun, no need to walk in the morning for a cup of coffe :)
