Check-in is strictly from 0900-2000 (Monday to Sunday). However, If you are going to check-in outside of our Info Point office hours, you must contact us in advance so we can make arrangements. There is a 10 Euro (70 Kuna) key deposit when you check in. We accept either Kunas or Euros.

Check-out is at 1100! However you can safely leave your stuff in our luggage storage or with our staff (with no charge) past the check out time if you have a night train, bus or flight to catch.

Our accommodations are strictly a non-smoking hostel, but we provide designated smoking areas (balconies).

Accommodation Information

City Centre is a unique and friendly place. The dorms are spacious and warm with a cosy feel to each of the rooms. Designs and artwork from a local artist adorn each room, creating a laid back atmosphere in each room. There is also a common room with a TV, a computer with internet access, free wi-fi, and free coffee and tea!

City Centre is located in the very centre of Zagreb on its most beautiful street; Tkalciceva. Tkalciceva is a very vibrant and yet relaxed pedestrian street lined with cafe bars, restaurants, art galleries and stores. It is just off the main square (a brisk 2 minute walk from us) and it is only a few minutes walk from the Upper Town (Gornji Grad). We are near large supermarkets (Konzum and Mercator), next to a great restaurant (Agave) and surrounded by other great restaurants, and on a street with many other cafes and bars, a 2 minute walk away from the main market (Dolac), and within a 10 minute walk from most of the tourist sites...

Location Information

The City Centre Hostel is located in the very centre of Zagreb on Tkalciceva, a pedestrian only street that is lined with cafe bars, restaurants, art galleries, etc. The hostel is just off 'Ban Jelacic' Square, Zagreb's main square. Tkalciceva runs along the bottom of the hill that the Upper Town (Gornji Grad) is located on. The cathedral is only a few minutes walk away and can be seen from our balcony. Most other attractions are located within a 15 minute walk.

Overlooking this beautiful street, our large balcony is a perfect place to lounge and watch the world go by. If you want to stay at unique and fun place in the centre of the town with access to cheap bars and restaurants, then is the place for you.
