Liked: This place is amazing! The staff are the most awesome, beautiful people I've ever met and I highly recommend staying here if your in Zagreb! There is a really good vibe going on, and everything is organised really well. A taxi was even organised for us to go to the airport when we were leaving. Lockers are available, and its in a really good location, just a minutes walk from the main street.

Disliked: Aiman left no negative feedback.

Liked: The girls at the front desk, both Christina and Ivana were excellent and extremely helpful.

Disliked: The shower heads need replacing desperately in the upstairs shower and maybe lose the barbed wire toilet seat - not a good look!

Liked: What makes Hobo Bear Hostel so wonderful? There are so many little touches that make for a pleasant stay- the cozy common room, the reading lamps and electrical outlets attached to the beds, the hobo- and bear-themed decor, but it's really the staff that makes the hostel, whether it's Ivana whipping up a batch of mulled wine or homemade cookies for the guests, recommending movies, or just laughing at life; Gigi giving advice on Croatian museums or playing a variant of Botticelli; Marco discussing politics, his new baby, and his ideas for where he'll go if he takes a trip to America; or Kristina making a quick run to the store before it closes on Christmas Eve so that guests can have sugar in their tea on Christmas.

Liked: the staff were very friendly and helpfull when i first arrived, showing me where to go and what to do in the city. Cosy set up in the lounge room. Everything was clean. good location 5-10 mins walk from town and easy to find.

Liked: Kristina and the other staff were really friendly and helpful. Happy hour was great value!

Disliked: Nothing. Individual lamps for each bed would make it even better though.

Liked: Really warm cosy atmosphere with really great friendly staff! Nice decoration, everything was clean and comfortable, and I even had the visit of Santa claus! ;-)

Disliked: Because it's an old building, it's a bit noisy ( squeaky stairs, etc..), but really not so bad!..

Liked: The staff was very nice and helpful. The location is great too. I found the kitchen was well equipped and enjoyed the common room.

Disliked: The rooms are small for the amount of beds in them.

Liked: Everything was excellent! Rooms were clean, warm and big. Excellent location in the city center, 15 minutes to the train station.

Liked: great staff very friendly and helpful. Locker was faulty in my room so i was upgraded to private double for no extra charge for my first night. was a little annoying carting luggage around each day but well worth having the big bed for a night.

Liked: The staff was excellent and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hostel was in an excellent location and provided a wonderful environment to return to after a long day exploring the city. Hobo Bear is one of the best hostels I have been to.

Liked: Helpful staff, nice atmosphere, awesome facilities and look! Hobo Bear Hostel could be one of the best hostel I stayed before. I really like the idea and the design of the inner house.

Disliked: maybe the only thing is that they should increase the slot of bathroom. haha

Liked: Super cozy, people were great. Marco and Princeza were awesome! Marco ordered us a pizza and gave us a few beers for free on our arrival. Cant beat that!

Liked: Charming little hostel with owners that go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. They work hard to keep the place clean & the bathrooms are spotless. Friendly atmosphere with cheap drinks in the common room but things end early so it doesn't degenerate into all-night mayhem.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The girls on staff were fantastic, the friendliest you could ever hope to meet! (Thank you Gigi for taking us out on the last night!) The lounge is a gorgeous homely cavern with big couches around the telly where everyone can just chill out and get to meet one another. There is a big fridge of beer and spirits available at cheap prices so you dont have to keep stepping out to buy your booze, the computer/ internet works great, plus the girls are always happy to help you plan out your day in order to enjoy Zagreb to the full. My favourite hostel so far.

Liked: Great, homely feel for a hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very nice stay. Great wifi!

Disliked: As far as hostels go (and I've stayed in a lot of them), it was good. Minor things - pillows were pretty horrible and the rooms were quite small.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and I thought the general standard of hospitality was superb - Ivana laid on a huge spread of snacks and local booze to celebrate Dinamo Zagreb's match against Real Madrid, which was a really nice touch and got people talking. The hostel layout is conducive to meeting other travellers, and the location is excellent - very central.

Disliked: Nothing!
