Liked: It has a great atmosphere, really freindly and helpful staff, free internet and kitchen. Very cheap. Not the cleanest of places, but if you are looking for a fun time for a small amount of money, ,go here

Liked: Really homely, super friendly staff, really good location, great bar, full of character, the owner, Joseph, is an absolute gent who sorted us out with a tent shop in town when we just really really needed a tent! He also recommended us loads of stuff to do and see, which we did, and it was great.

Disliked: Not much!

Liked: Free computer to use, not too far from the city centre, supermarket just round the corner.

Disliked: Showers were pretty dirty, not much of an atmosphere, small so not many people to meet.

Liked: There aren't many hostels in Zagreb so this was the closest I could find to the centre. It was about 20min walk.

Disliked: The bathroom was unclean. The floor was dirty. The staff were unfriendly. The overall atmosphere was unpleasant and we just wanted to get out of there as quick as we could.

Liked: They have a little kitten to keep you company. Otherwise, indications to get there are very clear. Not too expensive, staff is pretty friendly.

Disliked: One of the receptionists was stoned at work and mixed up reservations. Because of that, one of the travellers had to sleep on the couch in the basement, which sucks.

Liked: Helpful staff and nice vibe. Beers for sale were cheap and good.

Disliked: The rooms were small and the common spaces were small. There were only two bathrooms with showers, which was difficult to share. The location was a little hard to find.

Liked: This is certainly an interesting hostel with a nice outside chill-out space, in a quiet residential area but still easy walking distance from the centre. This hostel is probably best suited to the younger traveller as the relaxed organisation and no 24hr reception gives it the, "last one out turns the lights out" feel.

Liked: This is a great little hostel. The staff needs to do a little bit more cleaning, but all the linen was clean. I really liked the staff. They were fun to be around, very polite and helpful with all questions. The place is very secure. All the doors are locked at night and you need keys to get into the hostel and into your room, and you have a lock box at your disposal. All in all, a good place to stay.

Liked: Seemed quite confusing to get to from the train station so we took a taxi to get there. Was quite a decent walk to get to and from the city centre. Was extremely noisy at night - probably great for an 18 year old but didnt suit us as we needed to sleep. Did not enjoy our time there. However the staff member was helpful for info.

Liked: The staff is really helpfull. They can get any information you need. You feel more like at home then in a hostel, but wouldn't go by myself again out of season during the week. There were no others guests in there and the reception is not 24h, so I had to sleep by myself in the hostel. Very scary.

Liked: The hostel is fantastic! The staff are so friendly and gave us loads of tips about what to do and see, and the atmosphere is very homey. We went in February so it was very quiet, you could tell that it'd be even funner when the place is full in summer.

Liked: Carpe Diem Hostel is like a home. After staying there for a while you dont want to leave. Everyone was so friendly. We had everything we need. Thanks to all of the staff.

Liked: atmosphere is really chilled out, stuff very helpful immediately you became a friends , character and interior decoration, lots of fun - some of their friends came and it became a party

Liked: We didnt like much about this hostel. Really filthy and grungy hostel. Stinks of cigarettes because you are allowed to smoke inside. Graffiti all over the walls is unpleasant. Staff were very unhelpful with maps and sightseeing info. Mattresses were old and with threads hanging off them. Sheets unclean and my bed didnt have a pillow.
