Liked: This hostel is in a fantastic location, it's bright and clean with full kitchen facilities, there are large lockers for storing your luggage, good wifi, free laundry service is available, and friendly staff!

Disliked: Nothing! Wish I could have stayed longer!

Liked: The lady working at the desk was really nice and helpful...answered all of my questions (and I had a lot of questions!) We had great conversations. The room was clean, the location was great, all in all, definitely recommend.

Disliked: I could see it being really hot during the summer. I was also a little upset because I was told they were booked out, so I booked a private room, but it turned out that there was only one person here, so I could have totally saved a lot of money. That was a bummer for me, but oh well.

Liked: Really friendly and helpful staff!! Perfect location in the center near everything, walking distance even to train station and all sights. WiFi and a computer.

Disliked: not much of a communal hang-out space, but not a big deal

Liked: in a really good part of zagreb but still not too much noise to get to sleep. warm rooms and places to lock up my stuff, a kitchen which is also handy!

Disliked: limited amount of bathrooms, on one occasion i did have to wait a bit to get a shower, not a big deal though.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us with our onward journey. Rooms and bathroom were good. Location was excellent, right in the centre.

Disliked: Needs clearer directions, specify more clearly which street to turn off of the main square as there were about 6 and was hard to find because we didnt have a map.(but was only 2 streets away, so very close) Other than that, this place was great!

Liked: The location was perfect, and the staff so friendly, and extremely helpful when we were wondering where the best places to eat were!

Disliked: there were 3 of us (girls) staying in one room, with one bed spare. At about 11 in the evening an elderly man walks in in his boxers and goes to sleep in the spare bed..speaking for me and my friends who are in our early twenties, this didn't make us feel particularly comfortable and at ease throughout the duration of the night. Of course the man was completely harmless, but I don't think the situation was handled in the best way possible.

Liked: GREAT LOCATION!!! I stayed there for 5 nights. It was a 20-minutes flat walk from the bus station, and the location is very central, right behind the main square, and near the farmer's market (Dolac) on a narrow side street with lots of restaraunts nearby. The hostel was pleasant and clean though not very quiet (take into account that it's sorrounded by bars and restaurants). I stayed in a triple bed room, and shared a nice, clean bathroom in the hall. The furniture and bedding all looks to be ok and in the spirit of Ikea. The front staff were very nice (Daniela, Matea & Ivone), and I had some good, cheap, italian fare in the street below. Towels are provided upon request without extra charge. You'll get a locker with your own private key as well.

Disliked: Bad points: The temperature in Zagreb early September was like 1 million five hundred degrees Fahrenheit, so the room was very hot at night, even with the window opened. There is no air conditioning ! WIFI is terrible. You'll need to use the common room in order to get a decent signal.

Liked: Awesome location for sightseeing Zagreb by day, and for eating and drinking at cafes/bars by night! We rented room #3(six beds) for 2 summer nights with my family(kids 9,12,14), room and bathrooms were very clean. In room lockers and 24hr desk staff for security. Great value also for family as other Gornji Grad hotels wanted my family to rent 2 separate room to accomodate 5 people, which would have cost more than double the Nokturno rate(plus on HostelBookers, 23% VAT already included in the Nokturno price!) Cafe Nokturno is awesome too, good food, great prices!

Disliked: Kitchen dishes, pots/pans, and utensils were sparse. A few loose electrical fixtures/outlets to keep kids away from too. Room #3 was very quiet, but remembering from other reviews, all other rooms could be potentially noisy. 2 rooms have doors off main entry hall, and another 2 rooms have street windows on 2nd floor overlooking Nokturno Cafe that serves food 'til midnight and pivo 'til 2am.

Liked: the property is in good location next to the upper town and center. there is a good restaurant with the same name, just outside the hostel

Disliked: it doesn't look a lot like hostel. it's more like private rooms. the single room i stayed was just opposite the reception and it was too noisy. there is a common room but nobody hangs out there. in general if you are travelling alone, dont stay there.
