Liked: Good location, helpful staff.

Disliked: The room was not built properly. I was in the single by reception, the size was OK, but the walls did not filter out any sound. You are surrounded on two sides by the receptionist (there all night) and people going past, and there is no window to the outside so it's hot and stuffy. It's really like being behind a curtain in the hallway of the small hostel. I had paid for privacy and sleep and it's not what I got!

Disliked: Perhaps the showers could be a little cleaner. Other than that, the place was really clean.

Liked: Good location, we just walked from the train station and it was only about 10 minutes. The staff were helpful and we found it without any trouble.

Liked: Great location!! Restaurant downstairs is amazing with huge and reasonable portions! Very clean!

Disliked: I think the directions to the hostel could be better written (i.e. use a landmark) very confusing upon arrival.

Liked: The staff were really helpful and the location is excellent. Cafe Nocturno, just outside, sells excellent Italian & Croatian food for a reasonable price, perhaps the cheapest quality food in the area.

Disliked: The room are very small, we had a four bed dorm and there must have no more than one metre of floor space across the whole room. The hostel is generally quite cramped, but I guess thats down to the architecture of the old town more than anything else. A good hostel, but would not want to stay for more than a couple of nights.

Liked: This hostel was within 10 to 15 minutes walking distance from the train station and was right in the center of Zagreb. The hostel also had air conditioning which was AMAZING! Would definitely recommend.

Liked: Location couldn't be better - right in the heart of Zagreb, a minute's walk from the main square. The restaurant serves good value meals, the staff are helpful and cheerful, the bathrooms spotless, and the internet free. Couldn't ask for much more!

Liked: Room and bathroom are really clean and the hostel is located in the very center of the town. The room itself was very small and had a heating-problem so that the room gt quite hot during the night. There was just one shower/toilet for about 8 beds which lead to quite a time of waiting in the morning. The staff wasn't very helpful. Nevertheless I would recommend it as its location is great.

Liked: It was a great place to stay at Zagreb. Staffs are helpful and kind. All attractions are at just few miutes and it has a nice restaurant (and reasonable price). Especially, on just next place, there is Dolac market, so I can enjoy fresh fruits and bakery. I really recommend this hostel.One thing is a little noisy outside. I stayed almost alone at hostel because it is not the season for travel. So it was really calm and quiet but, at night, outside it was a little noisy.

Liked: A little noisy, we heard everything in the morning and it was hard to sleep (people walking by, the restaurant oppening next door was very loud).

Liked: The location could not be beat - it was right in the middle of everything. The rooms were cute and homey, and the common area was comfortable. Things were clean and safe. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Zagreb.

Liked: This was a fantastic place to stay!! The location was perfect! Although the common room might be a bit disturbing to non smokers, due to the smell, after you´ve been in Croatia for a day, you will get used to it...no offence. This place has everything you need in a hostel!! Will definitely recommend it!!

Liked: I'm old and Ive travelled extensively. Stayed in all kind of hotels, but Nocturno is the lodge of my life. It's charming and exciting, magic. The only single room is the place to be. It's quiet and peaceful opposite the reception. The ladies of the reception are helpful even in de mid of the night. next doors you can eat very very well. Common room is great(eat, smoke, wash, cook, chat, tv, surf) If you go there you will feel at home at once. NOT true that hostels are for the young ones only!
