Liked: This Hostel had everything I expeted...and more... Not too far from the center in a quiet environement. Shops and everything you need is close to the hostel. You can easily walk to the cityenter or take the tram which is located at 3 min. The place is safe and really clean and the staff is friendly and helpeful. The hostel is not too big so you easily meet the other travelers and have a nice time... And the best of all : it's not very expensive... I know where I will stay next time I come to Zagreb....

Liked: One of the bests hostels I've been. Good location and safe neighborhood; nice and helpful staff; nice rooms and matress in each bed; very joyful owners playing uno with guests and cooking a great barbecue at a cheap price; and FREE internet. I definitely recommend it!

Liked: great atmosphere! the staff makes you feel like family! there are uno card nights with the owners, a bbq, and a nice common room to meet people. i cannot speak enough about the wonderful owners of the hostel, ilona and marco. they are one of a kind. the location is also great to meet locals as it is situated in residential area. it is a bit farther away from the city center, but easily accessable by tram. highly recommended!

Liked: I came to stay one night, at the end I will stay for few more. Honestly, I cant find the reason for such bad comments of other peple here, this is like my second home. The owners came and sit with us, they dont even say they are owners, they love this job so much. Rooms are so spacey and clean, and bathrooms, I really cant describe, you have to see for yourself, some have a bathtub, no limit on hot water, wow! Excellent guys, keep it up, amazing, dont let the reviews push you down, your hostel is the best I ever stayed in and will highly recommend it

Liked: I can't speak highly enough of every aspect of the service provided to us at Hostel Lika. As a group of football fans who travelled over from Scotland, we were treated extremely well by all of the very friendly staff, who made every possible effort to help and support us wherever possible, from the first night (when we were encouraged to sit in the bar area even before checking in to sit and drink with the owner and other guests) to when we checked out. Our private twin room was in excellent condition, and although we weren't in the hostel much, the facilities on offer when we were there (bar area, drinks available to buy at reception, free internet and TV etc) were very good. Although the common room and bar area closed early for legal reasons, we were never made to feel uncomfortable when we came in late after a night out. At the price, I can't imagine anywhere being better.I and the two friends who I travelled with would heartily reccommend Hostel Lika to anyone looking to stay a few nights in Zagreb.

Liked: I especially enjoyed staying at Hostel Lika because we were made to feel so welcome and encouraged to approach the staff at any point if we needed something. There was a great personal touch to the place that made our stay very enjoyable.

Liked: Was really disappointed in this hostel. The staff were quite unfriendly and very short with us. You were not allowed to be in the bathrooms between 10am and 2pm as they were being cleaned. They also knocked on our door and rudely reminded us on our departure day that we had to be out by 10am. We arrived at midday but were told we couldn't check in til 2pm, not great when you're hot and sweaty and in the middle of nowhere!It was cheap, but location was rubbish, and staff were really poor. We weren't given any idea on what was good to do in Zagreb- thank goodness for lonely planet!Definitely would not encourage anyone to stay here! Sorry!

Liked: our double room was in fact a twin room, very small and simple but for the price it was okay. hostel is not in the centre but very easily reached by tram (every few minutes), also late at night. there's internet for free in the common room.

Liked: This hostel had a really friendly and chilled out atmosphere, with an outside beer garden area where everyone socialised in the evenings. Nice events like a barbeque where put on by the staff and were a good opportunity to meet people. It has free internet and a common room which was really good value and the location was convenient. The place sells drinks, Staff were helpful and nice, and i would definitely come back again! Really good place for people travelling on their own or wanting to socialise.

Liked: We only stayed one night which was a shame as it was a great hostel. The bar had good happy hour offers. It wasnt that central however it was close to the tram line into the center and the trams were very frequent and ran all through the night aswell.

Liked: Great for a one night stay. Staff was extremely helpful. Don't be fooled by the price though...it doesn't include the tourist tax, towel, locker or breakfast, so you'll spend an extra $7.50 (39 kuna) on all those things. Still a good price, but other hostels offer similar things...for maybe even cheaper. Also, they don't have a kitchen so cooking your own food isn't even an option.
