Liked: Clean hostel with friendly staff.

Disliked: Small room. In a 2 bed dorm, the door cannot even open fully. The location is pretty bad as well. Although it is walking distance to the bus station (10mins), it is rather far away from the main square (and hence no free tram rides. Tram tickets is 8zloty). However, the hostel is perfect if you are looking to take an early bus out of Zagreb (we took the 7am bus to plitvice). Please note that there is a tourist tax that is not included in the price, and hence it is not that much cheaper when compared to other hostels.

Liked: Girls in the lobby were nice, they did they job well and cheerfully. If you want to sleep cheap, Lika is fine. If you want to enjoy yourself, consider something else.

Disliked: Somehow the atmosphere was just a bit odd. Maybe it was the way they did not take the responsilibity of the negative comments in HostelBookers etc but complained about customers being wrong. It was also forbbidden to have own drinks in hostel but to buy them from lobby. I'm not a child nor a drunken idiot, so that kind of mistrust was a little bit too much for me.

Liked: It had some fantastic characters staying from all over the world, so much fun! and very diverse! Simple but effective and relatively comfortable rooms and the staff were gems!

Disliked: Room 3 is right outside the courtyard so going to sleep before 11pm can prove a challenge, and being by the window results in light beaming right in your face!

Liked: Very friendly staff, quiet, nice family atmosphere, good insider tips on the national park - This hostel is perfect for backpackers of all kinds! Ausserdem wird hier auch Deutsch gesprochen, sehr angenehm :) Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Liked: Clean enough, free internet

Disliked: The owner was very rude, accused us of losing our keys when someone else in our room had mistakenly brought them down when they were leaving. Didn't even listen or check when we told him this was probably what happened just got really mad!! Don't stay here they're horrible!!! And if you do dont trust the directions they give you there are no "yellow feet" and its impossible to find. Not fun when its really hot and you've got a huge backpack to carry!

Liked: A nice, cheap place, close to the train station and only 7 stops to the city center (tram 2 minutes from the hostel). The staff was friendly and helpful, free internet, a lot of showers and they are even working on a bigger garden area for the summer.

Liked: Very secure, needed three keys to get in. Owner very friendly and helpful, good atmosphere. There was a common room with free internet and bathrooms were clean and in a good condition. Plenty of opportunity to meet new people. Would definitely stay again.

Liked: It's at least my third stay at this place, and I really like it. I like the staff, the location, there's a big common room plus a nice terrace. I think the rules, that many people are complaining about, are good for those people who want to have a rest and relax which you often can't at party hostels. It's true that the dorms are not big, but at the same time, you also have to consider that the hostel is really cheap in comparison to other places. It may be a bit out of city centre, but the tram is just around the corner, so people who really mind walking can still go for the tram option. Anyway, 20 to 25 minutes walking distance is not that bad, and gives you the chance to discover Zagreb along the way. A big plus for people who have to catch a bus in the early morning hours: it's only 5 minutes to the main bus station.

Liked: Good hostel, that could be more clean. Location was not really good, 30 mins walking to the center. Anyway is cheap, ans the staff is really friendly.

Liked: Very strict rules, difficult to move around with only one sets of keys for 2 people as all doors locked, no kitchen, not allowed to use the fridge or even borrow a cup. Not allowed to drink hot drinks if not bought from the hostel, not allowed to stay in the premises after chek.out, no-one around when we were to leave, everything pays extra.As a positive remark: very clean, big toilets, nicely located, the other guy (not marco) was super nice.

Liked: The location is great and the yellow feet are also very useful. The owner (Marko) is great and will give you tips foir going around town etc. We stayed in a twin bed private room which was very small and basic, did not have a closet to hang your clothes in and the beds looked very uncomfortable at start - BUT THEY WEREN'T! We had an amazing rest, it was very quiet and warm and the beds were actually very much OK!The worst thing about the hostel were the toilets. They were shared which wasn't bad at all but I just think they needed to be cleaned little bit more often and one of the showers (the largest one) could only offer you extremely hot or extremely cold water no in-between which wasn't nice!All in all, a solid hostel, definitely value for money, would definitely go back without a doubt! Would just like to see it having better toilets smelling slightly nicer than they are now! recommend it though!!
