Liked: The location is ok, toilets are clean.

Disliked: The hostel's atmosphere was totally not what we expected from the previous ratings. Additionally, the owner didn't inform us that we have to take the sheets off and bring them to the reception prior to departure. Also some other things like this caused unnecessary nervous atmosphere.

Liked: Fantastic staff- our train was delayed and they stayed up for us until we arrived close to 1am. Plenty of wc/showers.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: The owner offered us a taxi service to the train station for 10E cheaper than regular taxis.

Disliked: The owner professed the hostel was excellent value for what you get, but this was not the case. Our room had clearly been a bathroom, and bits were falling off the walls. It was very noisy and the beds were uncomfortable. The directions from the train station were also terrible, and we had to get a taxi in the end.

Liked: Free internet and clean sheets

Disliked: No check in until 2, not excuses The whole place reeks of lemon cleaner No pressure in the showers Insistence on silence at about 11:00 P.M.

Liked: It was a great place to meet people as everyone sat outside drinking and having a BBQ.

Disliked: When we arrived the owner was overly friendly and invited us to come down to the terrace for a free drink each. We didn't arrive until late and he gave us the impression that he was up for a laugh and it would be open for drinks late. However, when we went down for our 'free' drink he asked us to pay and unexpectedly at 11pm told everyone it was time to leave and that he was closing. He had done a complte U turn and become really miserable and wanted us to quickly get back to our rooms or leave the property if we were going out. Also on our arrival he really pushed the fact that he was linked to Plitvice Lakes and had lots of knowledge about it. He told us to if we had any questions to come back and chat with him. However, when we tried to chat with him later and get information about Plitvice, he was unhelpful, disinterested and wanted to end the conversation asap.

Liked: not much!!!!

Disliked: sheets were really smelly and dirty, place was really out of town (they say on the website it takes 15 minutes walk to get to town, that is NOT true, you have to take the tram), windows could not be opened and it was completley dark in the room.

Liked: the couple who ran this hostel were really friendly and obviously making a real effort to make it a nice place for people to stay putting on bbqs etc

Disliked: not very central however really good directions and simple to reach by tram.

Liked: Cheap but a good value for the money paid. Free internet but no breakfast. Didnt try the BBQ but seemed nice, cold cheap beer. The owner and staff are very helpful. Close to Old Town and everything.

Disliked: No free breakfast!

Liked: good connection to the city centre, train and bus station

Disliked: booked a double twin, disgusting bedding, very small room which was a former kitchen and you could still smell and see it, no furniture except the beds in the room, sharp screws looking out of the beds

Liked: The owner is really nice, you can see that he's really into having a hostel.He definitely set his on this. Rooms are spacious and clean with lockers (for which you have to pay), there were enough bathrooms for the amount of People.The common area (with 24h free internet) is really cool, it's actually a beergarden where you can have breakfast and/or dinner (for extra money). People there are all really relaxed.

Disliked: The things they extracharge you (like washing machine, breakfast, dinner, locker etc.) could be a bit cheaper. They're not expensive but anyway. The happy hours which the owner promotes take place every evening, so basically you don't get a discount.

Liked: The tour to Plitivice Lakes was great, however short. The rooms are quiet at night and the lines seemed somewhat clean.

Disliked: This was our second time staying at Hostel Lika. Our first stay was just ok, however Michael would put people into the common room to sleep for the night (charging full price), and thus ending any hope of using the showers during the morning for customers who had confirmed reservations. The showers are connected to the washrooms, therefore in order to do something as simple as brush your teeth you needed to wait until the person finished. At times in the morning people had to wait upwards of 10-15 minutes. To make matters worse they expect you out right at 10am. Staff will come around at 9am nagging you to vacate the hostel. Although, helpful Michael was a bit spacy and very flaky during our first stay at hostel lika. We requried a place to stay in Zagreb after returning from Korcula so we booked ahead paying for the full room price and were given a receipt hand stamped by Michael which we thought guranteed us two rooms in a six bed dorm for a night. We made Michael give us a receipt prior to booking because we were a bit concered with his organizational tactics of running a hostel. However, even with receipt in hand he did not have a bed for us as he gave it up. We told him we were going to show up some what late (10pm) however the message clearly did not get to him. He ended up giving us one bed, in a four person bed dorm..which is prettzy pathetic considering we had booked two beds only a few days prior in person! So, long story short ! STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Micheal is nice, but not reliable !

Liked: Super nice lady who runs the guesthouse. Was overly helpful at times and was very willing to give us a ride when needed. She made us feel right at home in her own house.

Disliked: The people who decided to take 30 minute showers in the two bathrooms available. Not the owners fault. Should get wifi.

Liked: A fun place to stay. The staff was very helpfull and we enjoyed our stay so much, that we came back for another night by the end of our trip.

Disliked: The location, admittedly, isnt great, but its pretty easy to get to the city centre anyway...

Liked: The hostel was a very sociable place, a good place for meeting other travellers, with a communal yard with a bar and bbq. The room was clean and close to the tram stop for getting into the city. The hostel was easy to find and the owners very friendly and welcoming.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: It was cheap and there were areas to socialise, oh and free internet!

Disliked: I got really lost trying to find this place-the yellow feet are really faded so don't really on them! And they also ask for a 100 kuna deposit which could be annoying if you were leaving Croatia after this but I think they did accept euro deposits as well, so maybe it wouldn't be a problem for everyone. It was also quite hot in the room as well.

Disliked: The Toilet didnt get cleaned, during the 3 days stay. Thats not acceptable when there are about 8-10 people using it. No internet to use.
