Liked: Good that there is a basic supermarket near by but there are no kitchen facilities here. Good access to the pebble beach.

Disliked: As you approach the hostel it looks promising, however our dorm was in one of 2 run down huts. Disappointingly there was only one shower, toilet and a small sink (1 female, 1 male) for all the people in the hut. There were loads of teenagers there from schools, so dont expect to get much quiet time anywhere. Breakfast is very basic - bread, butter and jam and a drink. You will need to get a bus to and from the station and old town, neither are within walking distance. I would stay there again only if i had to. Make sure you factor in the extra charges.

Liked: Great location by the sea; a bar is just in the yard of the hostel; credit cards are accepted

Disliked: breakfast provided only between 8am - 9am

Liked: Big place, bit noisy but a fair deal and bar at the compound

Disliked: No Airconditioning what so ever. Rooms are hot as hell

Liked: The bar was well stocked.

Disliked: It was sterile (just a place to drop your bags and far from the center) and the staff seemed harried. Their idea of security was to bring everything to the front desk, which was far from ideal. However, given the size of the property and the typical guest this may have been the best they could do. Despite the requirement that the door be locked when not in the room, I arrived to find the door wide open. In terms of general quality, it appeared as though considerable maintenance needed to be done on the facilities (the door handle on my room was broken) and a better job of cleaning would have stood them in good stead (the cobwebs under the beds were indicative of the cursory cleaning done. Overall, I'd recommend you go with private accommodation in Zadar. It really is a better deal and can hardly be in a worse location.

Liked: nothing

Disliked: One key for the whole room, which was really awkward to share. One bathroom for a whole hallway, so you always had to wait for a shower. Super big so difficult to meet people when traveling alone. One computer for a huge hostel, so long waiting time. Lots of groups of really young students (10-15). Room was oppressively hot, and they are audacious enough to RENT fans.

Liked: the hostel is in a nice area next to the marina and next to beaches. it's just 10 minutes to go in the city center of Zadar or at the bus station and the stop is just in front of the hostel.

Disliked: no kitchen but a restaurant... only one computer for internet and busy all the time. there is no lockers so it's not really secure to leave your things in the room because you are 4 in the room so if somebody don't close the door after him the door stay open all day long... there is many school groups so it's a little bit annoying sometimes if you are older.

Liked: Clean and efficient, like a well-run military camp! It faces the sea, has its own bar and serves a breakfast of bread, spreads and a hot drink. The staff is friendly and helpful, booked our cab in the morning.

Disliked: Only one person worked at the desk during check-out time at 10am which means there was quite a queue. The rooms arent soundproof so we could hear all the comings and goings of the other residents.

Liked: The property had a great common area with a bar and the staff were very friendly.

Disliked: The rooms was dingy and dark and there was no air conditioning.

Liked: The hot showers were good.

Disliked: The hostel is out of the centre and can be difficult to get to. The wooden frames of the bunk beds had graffitti all over it, and the breakfast was appalling (bread rolls, spreads and watered down orange juice). Expensive for 16 E +.

Liked: It was right on the beach and close to a bus stop. Zadar the city was really cool though! Especially the sea organs on the riva.

Disliked: I wasn't there that often, but from what I could tell it really wasn't anything special. The bathrooms were quite dirty, the staff weren't bad, but they weren't all that interested in the guests and the free breakfast was just bread bread bread, with some spreads. It was the kind of place you expect to be a cheaper bargain find, but I don't think it was!

Disliked: The fact that the name "Zadar Youth Hostel2 was not indicated on the hostel. Hard to find the location. No signalisation for it.

Liked: There was a mini golf course and a fashion show the night I was here. So random and reminded me of camp. Cocoa instead of coffee in the morning.

Disliked: The pillows.

Liked: Hostel is very big, close to ncie beach, easy bus ride into town, free breakfast and wifi.

Disliked: Long walk into town, lots of school groups staying, very noisy and harder to meet other backpackers

Liked: I can't really say much since the only thing I did was sleep. It seemed like a good place for groups of people. I just stayed a night and left early the next morning.

Disliked: I didn't stay long enough to find out.

Liked: It was very close to the beach, and as there is not much to do in Zadar (maybe worth half a days visit AT MOST) we spent a lot of our time at the beach. The staff were also VERY helpful, and the internet there was SO cheap! 20 kuna for an hour, or free WIFI. Really great.

Disliked: It could have been a lot cleaner.... our room was clean but stank like smoke, and the bathrooms deifnitely left something to be desired.
