Placida Hostel is a beautiful place for young backpackers and is situated in the old town, which is only 5 minutes by walk from the harbour, train station, airport and bus station. We offer 25 beds in spacious renovated and beautifully colour rooms! Great for groups booking with discount.

Why hostel Placida?
Hostel Placida (200 meters sq.) + (130 meters sq.) plus apartments (58 meters sq.) is the first hostel in the city and through the years we have gained great experience working with world travellers and have also met great people. In our hostel we offer you 28 beds in spacious and coloured rooms, (pink, orange, normal and two en-suite rooms, separated from the hostel, on the first floor in same building and two apartments just 2 minutes walk from the hostel.They have air-conditioning and satellite TV.
Please note that we offer accommodation only to people until 45 years of age, since it is very difficult to please all age groups and younger people are always more lively while elders need more privacy and silence which is not so possibile in cases where people need to share dormitory.

The reception and hostel are on the 2nd floor while on the 4th floor in the same building there is Internet caffee where you can have cheap internet access and a den international phone card.


For people who want more than just a room and who would like to experience a little bit of adventure we organize rafting on the beautiful river Cetina.
In our hostel we offer a living room, terrace for laundry, fridge and cooker (for cooking tea or coffee.)

Hostel:

If you are coming by car we will help you to find parking place close to the hostel in a safe place where you don't have to pay.
If you arrive by plane we can arrange on demand a taxi from the airport that will cost 37 Euros.

If you plan to arrive after 11pm, please call us or send an e-mail at least 1 day before to confirm your arrival.Reception is 24h but only in summer period (15.06-15.08), so please let us know about the time of your arrival in your booking paper or by e-mail if your're coming late. on the door there is always phone number so we can be there in 10 minutes if you're late.

Checking out is 10 am.
Check in is at 11:30am.
Luggage storage can be provided after 10 am. GUESTS WHO STAY FOR 3 DAYS AND MORE CAN LEAVE THEIR LUGGAGE EVEN FROM 7AM. YOU CAN ALSO OCCUPY YOUR ROOM BUT ONLY IF IT IS AVAILABLE. TOURIST TAX IS NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE AND IT IS 7KN PER PERSON/DAY.

The cancellation must be made 48 hours before the day of the arrival.
Please be aware that if you have a ‘no-show’ without advising us before this time, we will have to charge your credit for the first night of your booking.

Accommodation Information

There are different types of rooms :single, 8 bed mixed dorm, 3 bed private (shared bathroom), 6 bed female dorm, 6 bed private and private 5 beds (shared bathroom).
Rooms are air conditioned, guest can use hair-dryer, cooker for coffee, tea or breakfast, there is a little shared kitchen and a living room, fridge. Washing machine can be used also on agreement.

Staff wil provide you with all the info about the happenings in the city, places to go out or eat, tourist info or show you where to go and buy tickets for museums and nearby islands.

Location Information

Hostel is situated in the city centre, about 5 minutes from the Diocletian palace dating back to 3rd century where you will have plenty things to see - historical monuments, old churches, remnants of old roman temples as well as restaurants, museums, pubs, bars, cinemas. Very near is the sea side so you can go for long walks along the sea, in the evening you can visit popular clubs and caffees in 10 minutes time.
Lovers of trips and visits to local island can freely buy tickets for island of Brac and Hvar or visit nearby historical sights like Salona (centre of Crisitianity in the region until 6th century AD)
