Liked: the owners great and very friendly, hostel is pretty basic but you do get aircon!!

Disliked: billions of mosquitos everywhere and no communal area, pretty expensive for what it was and Split i general is overrated!

Liked: The lady who runs the hostel is lovely - very friendly and helpful. The facilities were all very modern, clean and tidy. The rooms were very safe and there is a gate that is locked at night for extra security. I had an amazing time when I stayed here. It is definetly the best hostel I have stayed in.

Liked: The ladies that work there were the nicest people I met during my one month stay in Europe. Really really friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bathroom very good too. They don't have lockers in the rooms, but I did not felt insecure at any time.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: I actually really liked that this hostel is out of the old town, but dont worry it is still really close to everything¸ only 15 to the main station, but it is much quiter and the lady is lovely. she washed and folded all my clothes!

Liked: The bathroom and owner. Adequate kitchen. Great location and good directions (once somebody helped me locate the first street).

Disliked: No lockers. Have key for room but nowhere to stow valuables.

Liked: The hostess is incredibly welcoming, and the location is perfect - easy walking distance to the bus/train/ferry area, the city beach and the old town. Free internet is great, and the kitchen was handy as well.

Disliked: It was a little difficult to find at first, and there were no lockers to securely store your belongings. The bunk beds are VERY low.

Liked: Elda is incredibly nice! The hostel facilities are also quite good. I'm returning to stay another night. Highly recommended.

Liked: The lady at the reception was quite friendly, even though it wasn't a proper reception. The hostel is more like a house. Location was also ok and the room was clean, but the kitchen smelled funny. There is a supermarket near by.

Disliked: The ensuite room is not really ensuite, you only have a shower in the room. The toilet is by the kitchen, next door, so you actually have to cross the kitchen to go in the room or to the loo. The hostel is quite small so it's not a good place to meet people, but if you want something quiet it's a good option.

Liked: Elda was very helpful in getting me to the hostel, given my flight arrived four hours late, after the noted check-in time. Dorms and bathrooms are nice, and there's a small kitchen for self-catering.

Disliked: No real common room.

Liked: Elda is a great host! The hostel is only about a 10 minute walk from the main bus, train and ferry station. Grocery store is around the corner and getting to the main city centre is short distance away. Elda was also a good resource for how to get around Split and the islands.

Disliked: shower ran out of hot water

Liked: Hostest was very friendly. We were able to leave our luggage and use the facilities after the 11am checkout which was very handy as we didn't leave till late that evening.

Disliked: Hard to find.

Liked: close to the beaches, markets and shops. newly renovated.

Disliked: no common room, not very busy hostel but we were there in the off season. The owner is not there on a regular basis so its hard to ask her questions about anything if you dont catch her at the right time. Very few young people for a youth hostel.

Liked: Great location, I found it without a map! Lovely owner, very helpful and informative. Not a party place, which was very nice - kitchen to use, computer. Bathroom in room was clean and modern, great shower, bunk beds very compfy, everything kept clean. Owner not always here so had a set of keys to go in and out so felt more like a shared apartment. I came as a solo traveller and felt very safe. I would definately come here again.

Liked: Great value for money, we had a huge apartment for only £11 each per night between 3. The self catering facilities were really useful also the was bathroom very new and clean.

Disliked: It said there was no curfew when we booked, however we did get told off by the owners father when we came in late at night.

Liked: The room we stayed is very clean and recently updated. In the heat of 2010, the a/c is a VERY nice option! The lady that owns this property is BEYOND friendly and helpful.

Liked: Elda, the owner, and the other ladies there, are fantastic. Its very clean, recently updated and quite comfortable. Super close to the palace (it's just behind it) and a very reasonable walk to the ferries, bus and train stations.

Disliked: Right now there aren't security lockers for your belonging, but she will be installing them soon

Liked: I had a great time at this hostel! Elda the owner was very welcoming and friendly. The hostel was clean and in a very convenient location (though be warned there are no signs for hostel so initially it was very confusing to find). I would definitely recommend to my friends!
