Liked: location is brilliant.A couple of minutes stroll to most places you need. Really nice having a washing machine,fridge and stove .

Disliked: Well set up overall but very minimalist kitchen accessories. We spoke too Nada and she upgraded so no major hassles. No parking actually at the hostel. Grab the nearest street park that you can if driving in. we parked only about 2 minutes walk away so again no major problems.

Liked: It was very clean.

Disliked: We had arranged with Nada to meet at the bus station well in advance, but she never came and we had to buy a map to find it ourselves. Nada speaks no English and so it was impossible to discuss this with her. Her daughter claimed that she herself had come to pick us up, but that we were not there! It was in a basement, was dark and scary at night due to all the doors to the street being open, bad building lighting and street lighting.

Liked: Pleasant landlady who was very hands-off but did all she could to help.

Disliked: We personally thought the room was a bit disappointing. This was the most expensive of our stays and although admittedly the price is not very high, we managed to stay in some lovely guesthouses in Split, Dubrovnik and Hvar for less. The room is one of two that made up a single flat within an apartment block, with the landlady staying in the other. The 'room' is quite large however with an en suite but the window in the en suite opens up into the landlady's kitchen! Not at all an unpleasant stay but there are far better alternatives. Landlady was very accommodating but had very limited English. She may speak more than just Croatian though.

Liked: The property was really clean, a big room, the TV was great, it had English channels, and it was only a 5 minute walk to the palace and the centre of Split. Nada was really helpful, even though her English is limited. we had a great time here.

Disliked: the hot water is a bit dangerous as it gets SO hot that it is almost reaches boiling temperature. it was a bit of a problem in the shower, we had to be careful. also the apartment is not really suited to cooking, but there are so many restaurants you dont really need to cook anyway.

Disliked: There wasn't much to dislike about the property. I just wouldn't recommend it to people who want to meet other travellers.

Liked: Mrs Nada is very kindly woman, always ready to help. Her apartment is very clear and near the old city, restaurants and night bars. In her apartment she offered us everything we needed to fell comfortable, and we were really satisfied with our staying there.

Disliked: There is nothing that we dislike about this property.

Liked: It was fantastic! Nada is such a nice person (even though we had small problems communicating beceause of her english)!!! We got the actual flat/apartament (living room + bedroom + kitchen) just for ourselves! So comfy! There was fully equipped kitchen with washing mashine (even washing powder was there for free). Everything was sooo 200% clean, spotlesly clean. There was internet and cable tv and air conditioning just as described. Felt like home !!! And location - 5 mins to city centre. Supermarket just steps away. Thank you Nada, if we ever come to Split again we'll definatelly come back to you!

Liked: It was very centrally located, clean and comfortable. Nada was very hospitable and easy-going. And just as an explanation for my low ranking for "fun place to meet people": Given that it is an apartment in a 4- or so storey apartment building and not a hostel, it's not really meant for meeting people.

Disliked: Nothing really - everything was fine. We stayed one night on our way to Hvar.

Liked: Not the most attractive from the outside, this accommodation consists of two separate apartments with one common entry door, within a residential block. The location, however, is very good within 5 minutes walk to the Palace area of Split. Inside the apartment we had booked, the accommodation was spacious and well presented with a double bedroom, dining area with air-conditioning, bathroom with shower and a utility area including a cooker and washing machine. There did appear to be WIFI in the accommodation but there was no note of access code so therefore we were not sure if this was included or not. We were there for only one night but the facilities would mean that this could be an excellent place to stay for longer. Although the initial external appearance of the residential block isn't good, the street felt fairly safe at night. Parking is free on-road, however the street is fairly busy with parked cars, we were able to find a space not too far away on the same road. We contacted the owner by text message to arrange arrival time and were met by the owner's son, although he was a little late from the arranged time. The son requested that we write a positive review (should we like it!) due to some unfavourable reviews. Personally we would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation as a place to stay in central Split, in light of the location, facilities and reasonable price.

Liked: We stayed here for two nights, one prior to a cruise and one night after the cruise was over. The first night we stayed in an older style apartment and on the second night we were in a very classy, modern apartment just miutes from the first nights accomodation. Both apartments were very quite and clean. The owner was lovely and had limited English. She supplied us with washing powder to use in the washing machine and made us feel very welcome.

Disliked: The fact you had to call the owner to organise to get in as it was more like a serviced apartment rather than a hostel.

Liked: Clean and comfortable with cooking and washing facilities. The apartment was small but still managed to fit in a big double bed, a single bed, TV, fridge, washing machine, etc. If you message the owner with your arrival times he'll also come and meet you from the ferry. Although it felt quite a bit out of town it was only 10 minutes to the Palace and was quite easy to find.

Disliked: Not the prettiest of buildings and not in the UNESCO area but all the same a nice and clean little apartment and good value for money.

Liked: Room was adequate and and a relatively central location. However, on our previous stay three weeks ago we stayed at a much nicer room, for less money, in a better location and with much more helpful hosts.

Disliked: Host did not communicate too much and after initially offering a pick up from the bus station, withdrew this offer the night before. With so many great Croatian hosts around, this property was nothing special.
