Liked: This was a nice hostel between Split and Omis, bit of a home from home. The room i stayed in was overlooking the sea which was nice. Breakfast was a nice touch. Owners are friendly and welcoming. It was really nice they contacted me when i booked, as they gave me directions and some other information which was extreamly useful. Regular bus route on your doorstep. I walked into Ormis passing some lovely beaches and views on the way.

Disliked: It was on a busy road so a bit noisy, where it opened up on to the sea was a resdencial area and quite busy with lots of activity (building work, men socialisng) for such a small place, and wasn't the iddyl i was kind of expecting, but you can find small swimming and beach areas not too far away. Ameanities are a bus away or a good walk along the road which has no real walk ways in parts.

Liked: This place is honestly the best place ive stayed at in over 3 months of backpacking around Europe. being offered breakfast the moment i walked in was just the beginning, i was welcomed in family lunches and dinners, bbq and seafood feasts. The ocean is literally on your doorstep, its a great place to relax and chill out. tv, xbox, books, games, everything is there. the croatians know what true hospitality is and love having guests. it might be outside of split but this is better than staying in split. you won't regret it

Liked: The hostel is located directly at the sea, so after arrival we could jump right off in the sea, which was great. Our room was very clean and the free breakfast was very good. It's a place to meet other travellers and also to have a chat and get in touch with the owners.

Disliked: You have to cross a street which separates the two buildings of the hostel, which is not very pedestrian-friendly.

Liked: Friendly staff, nice dorms, nice location for those who don't mind to be far from the city, nice to relax two feets from the water.

Liked: Really nice setting and very pretty, the rooms were okay. You had the basics and necessities. Really nice being near the sea and being able to chill out by the hostel.

Disliked: Hostel Adria was much further out than we anticipated. Although it was a nice setting if you are looking to explore Split then this is not the hostel for you. Some others at the hostel were happy to sit around there the whole time but as we were interested in seeing Split and the surrounding area having to get a bus was a pain at times. There are also no bars, restaurants or even a decent shop within walking distance which wasn't ideal. There are two parts to the hostel and if you're staying in the rooms at the back as we did it is very, very loud. It's by a main road and cars go past all through the night so it's very difficult to sleep. As the rooms at the back are separate to the main reception I don't think they check the cleanliness of the back part regularly enough. With lots of people using the hostel facilities the bathroom got dirty very quickly and the bathroom floor became very slippy and dangerous.

Liked: Amazing location on the Adriatic sea! Jump of the diving board in the back yard. Generous breakfast. But it does take about 25 min by bus from split. I recommend renting a car. Amazing staff they grilled fresh fish from the sea for us!

Disliked: room could have been a litttle cleaner.

Liked: Great price, it's RIGHT on the water, the family that runs it was incredibly hospitable. Beautiful scenery.

Disliked: It's at least 10 km outside of Split. This concerned me at first, but really, there's only so much you can do in Split. The hostel is so great you'll barely want to go anywhere. But if you're planning on spending all your time in the city, this might not be the best hostel for you.

Liked: This was one of my favourite hostels during my travels so far! The family who run it are extra helpful and friendly. The location is out of Split, as it suggests in the description and all the reviews, and that is what I loved about it. You are completely surrounded by locals and the Adriatic Sea, which you can take a running jump into from the back door. The breakfast is generous (meat, cheese, bread, cereal and one morning we got some pastries home-cooked by the grandma!), rooms are spacious with lockers, kitchen is great and internet+wifi free. One night they put on a barbeque for us — a great way to meet everyone and eat what the locals eat. I was lucky to get a room with a balcony looking over the water—if you dont happen to get that room, there are plenty of tables and chairs out the back to enjoy the sea view and the company of the other guests and the family. To get to Split takes about 25 minutes by a bus that runs every half hour or so from 4.30am until midnight. Upon booking, you get a very detailed description of how to find it, and once you know where it is, you'll have no trouble getting back from Split. These people know how to run a hostel!!

Liked: This is a wonderful hostel. It's not exactly in Split - about 30 minutes outside of the city, but it's easy to get to. The hostel is right on the water, so it is perfect to sit out, relax and enjoy the sea. The staff go above and beyond to welcome you and to take care of you during your stay. I only stayed one night, but wished I could have stayed longer.

Disliked: Bajnice is a little hard to find on the bus - you need to keep a close eye and ask other passengers to let you know when to get off. It's not *in* Spilt, so if you just wanted to see the city, it's not the best location for that.

Liked: Great breakfast, great room, clean, nice staff and beautiful location. Is not in Split city, is some 20 minutes away from it, but believe me, it's a lot betetr than staying in the city, speciallly if you have a car. Is well connected with Split with local bus. Stop right next to the place. Waking up and having breakfast after a nice swim on the sea is an amazing experience. Kitchen facilities are excellent, nice living room with terrace overviewing the rocky beach, internet access, books, maps, info about the area. JUST PERFECT!

Disliked: Only the fact that took us a while to find it as we arrive at night and the sign on the wall can only be seen if you come from Split not if you come from Omis. The attachment they sent us with all the info on how to fin the hoste wal really useful, though.

Liked: The hosts were lovely and offered us breakfast the second we got there :) Location couldn´t have been better either really, about 10m from the sea which is gorgeous and quite warm (if very salty)

Liked: The staff were very kind and lovely people. Really close to the sea- great for swimming. The kitchen is well equipped and labelled. If you like massages, you can get a great one from the Neighbour ( I have them fairly often, and she gives one of the best I've had). For breakfast I was just expecting cereal, but there's also bread, meat, cheese and pastries.

Disliked: Its 10-15 minutes walk to the nearest restaurant. The walk is unpleasant, given that it's along a busy road with no pavement. I was not happy to attempt this in the dark, or after alcohol.

Liked: The second we arrived, we were greeted by a smiling young woman named Ana (i think). Even before we had confirmed our booking she offered us breakfast, complete with coffee, tea, muesli.. well basically every a guy who havent eaten in a day could want.

Liked: Having just arrived from Dubrovnik, for us it was perfect as it was just away from the hustle & bustle of split and right next to the sea. regular buses run between Omis & Split so you're not too far away from it all.

Disliked: the en-suite bathroom was a little bit small as you had to step over the toilet to get into the shower cubicle.

Liked: Definetely one the best hostels ever.Beach was directly in front of the door,very nice familiar atmosphere ,best homemade breath i've ever tried (thank you so much Mira). iIt was really like staying at cousins house.I'll be back,i promise.
