Liked: The family who run Sobe Simoni were friendly and welcoming. The family also went above-and-beyond to be helpful when I had a medical issue arise. The entire place was spotlessly clean very conveniently located (across a pedestrian walk over the train tracks).

Liked: Two out of three of the staff I chatted to were brilliant, the third was a fair muppet. Pretty close to the bus station, but not extremely easy to find

Disliked: absolutely disgusting place. Our roof had holes all over and our flyscreen was busted so there were heaps of flies in our room. It was stinking hot also, and no fan to help. Bloody tiny room too. We stayed only one night and it was one night too many. This place should probably close down and the owner needs to take a good look at themself. Don't stay here, this cost the same as a MUCH better hostel that I stayed in on my last visit to split, which sadly was booked out this time around.

Liked: EVERYTHING! WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A HOSTEL BUT ACTUALLY IT WAS A HOTEL WITH A BALCONY WHAT A NICE SURPRISE THE STAFF IS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL THE HOSTEL IS VERY WELL LOCATED YOU WALK 5 MINUTES AND ARE IN THE HEART OF THE CITY THEN 5 MORE MINUTES AND YOU REACH THE DALMACIAN PALACE ITS ALSO CLOSED TO THE BACVICE BEACH IT IS A SANDY BEACH BUT IT OS OVERCROWED THUS NOT SAFE TO LEAVE YOUR STUFF AND GO SWIMMING ITS IS BETTER TO WALK A BIT FARTHER AND REACH ANOTHER BEACH

Liked: We were just passing through Split so the location was perfect as it was right next to the port, bus and train station.

Disliked: Nothing negative to say.

Liked: The triple room was clean and neat.

Disliked: It says that there is parking but there are only about 5 spaces, which are also open to the public. If they are taken, good luck finding anywhere else. The bathroom was tiny and the shower doors were missing! Our rooms window faced onto the stairs to reception so you could always hear people walking up the stairs. The day after staying there, i found two bites on my legs and one on my stomach. I can't say for certain if i got them from there or not but i don't know where else they would come from.

Liked: Excellent location... close to the ferry, train and buses but also in the city centre.

Liked: the location was perfect. we had an early train the next morning, and the hostel is literally two minutes walk from the station. also, the receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful. she made us feel like old friends who had come to town for a visit, recommending sights to see and restaurants to try (by the by, Buffet Fife is THE place for affordable, delicious food).

Disliked: the room was pretty lack lustre. everything was kind of shoddy: weird pillows (too squishy or too big), shower door leaked, etc. also, no air con or fan, so the room was a bit stuffy with the window closed to keep out potential mosquitoes. budget style, but fine for a night or two.

Liked: The location is perfect, close to city centre, port, busses and trains, and if you are by car you can even park it for free (if you manage to find a spot though). The staff were helpful and leaving our luggage was no problem.

Disliked: There is no airconditioning. When we were there with around 32 deg C it was doable, but with higher temperatures it could become unbearable. The rooms are very small, which is ok for 1-2 nights, but if you stay a week choose a different place.

Liked: The location was excellent - very handy to ferries and buses. We were on the ground floor first night but paid the extra to move up a floor to air-conditioned room

Disliked: The cheaper rooms are down on the ground floor - very small/pokey and no aircon and noisy from outside

Liked: Close to Buses, Railway and Ferries. The Old Town and facilities only a short wqlk away.

Disliked: Being a 3 star Accom and not having any servicing done for 3 days

Liked: Location was exactly where we wanted, and the receptionist waited over 1 hour at the airport to collect us after our flight was delayed. Very impressed.

Liked: We had a nice stay at Sobe Simoni. The rooms were quite small, but the staff were very nice and helpful. Great location, 5 min from the beach, 2 min from the town centre. I would definitely recomend this if youre searching for a good place to stay in Split!
