Liked: Excellent price, location and facilities. Essentially a full apartment with everything you could need and more - including internet in the room and separate kitchen and bathroom. Definitely would recommend.

Liked: The property was in a great location and had a fab view over the harbour. It was really secure and the facilities were great, new shower, tv etc. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed! Really good value for money would definitely recommend it!

Disliked: Nothing - finding the place to pick up the keys was a little challenging but literally up the road to the right of the church from the waterfront and there is a door to the right of the tobacco place on the corner of the road and there is a small sign which is where you need to go!

Liked: The owners were very friendly and laid back. The location was fantastic - right next to the old town and the water front. The room was huge, great aircon and completely spotless. A bargain!

Liked: The apartment itself was great - nice, modern and spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, AC and with a view on the port and sea

Disliked: We had to pay for a private parking a 5-10 minutes walk away and there was no internet as mentioned on the website: two things essential for our Eurotrip when travelling by car

Liked: Guest house Zara in Split was my favourite of all the apartments we stayed at during our 11 day trip in Croatia. The room we had (there were 2 rooms in the apartment) felt very homely, there was a computer with internet access in the room as well as a TV and all important air conditioning. The room was decorated nicely and the bed linen clean. The apartment is in a great location close to the centre, above a convenience store, and next to a lovely restaurant (konoba varos). The kitchen has basic pots and pans and a fridge that guests in both rooms can use.

Disliked: When I opened the wardrobe there was a bad smell because some old towels were screwed up on the floor of the wardrobe, I think they must have been left by previous guests. Other than that we had only a few minor niggles: There was an empty water bottle on the floor beside the bed. There is no bin in the bedroom. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom.

Liked: Close to shops.

Disliked: Room is opposite a Catholic Church so was woken up at 6am to the bells ringing. It's a bit of a walk from the main harbour and bus station but is relatively close to the main shops and restaurants.

Liked: Superb property in a perfect location. Very close to the old town but not actually in it (which is good since the old town has a LOT of atmosphere/noise!) We stayed in a double studio apartment which enabled us to cook and have our own breakfast. It was equipped with a high quality and quiet air conditioning system which was great since Split can get pretty hot in the summer (for an English couple like ourselves!) In short we'd really recommend this to anyone. Only disappointment was the lack of wifi or internet, which their property description claims they have. It was the best accommodation we had in our two weeks travelling around the Western Balkans (which, incidentally, included a night in a 5* Albanian hotel).

Disliked: No wifi or internet. This was a serious drawback for us as we really needed internet connectivity!

Liked: own computer in the room; AC; TV; 100m from the waterfront; only 4 people share one bathromm; small kitchen that you can use; FIFE, a nice litte restaurant with high value for low money 100m away

Liked: The Location of the Guest House is great. We had a computer and Internet in the room.

Disliked: The kitchen wasnt equipped good enough to really cook proper meals. The bathroom didnt get a clean and there was not enough toilet paper. Its a good place to stay for a night but as the kitchen isnt equipped well I wouldnt recommend to stay for longer.

Liked: We had a shared kitchennette and bathroom in an apartment right in the center of Split, on a side stgreet. The location and helpfulness of the staff were the best part of the stay at Zara.

Disliked: The location was also a problem, since we were driving and it is very difficult to park next to the facility in Split, because of the heavy traffic and one-way streets. But the staff helped us find a place and gave us directions.

Liked: İt was very clean and big rooms, didnt have hot water all the time though. The location is very good as well.

Disliked: They didnt write anything about paying by only cash so we were a bit surprised, also it says they have internet at the apartments but there wasnt.

Liked: Guest House Zara was absolutely fantastic - very close to the main Split boardwalk, fully airconditioned which is a godsend in summer, full PC with internet connection and best shower Ive had in Croatia. Owners were very friendly and organised. A+ experience!

Liked: Although initially difficult to find the location was amazing right on the front. We stayed in the apartment which was not quit where it was on google maps. If you find guesthouse Zara you need to knock on the first floor door where the owner lives and she will take you to your apartment about 30seconds walk away. Very very clean, huge bed, a great power shower and well equipped kitchen area. Would definitely stay again. Also amazing sea views

Liked: The location, comfy bed.

Disliked: Was awkward when paying for accommodation, they tried to short change us, then we felt uneasy about being there. There was internet and computer in the room except the mouse had flat batteries so we couldnt use and we also couldnt use wifi for our laptop either.

Liked: The owver lived across the landing and was always available and willing to help. Our location couldn't have been any better being a stone's throw from the palace and surrounded by markets, cafes and restaurants.

Liked: Beautiful room in a apartment block. Kitchen and bathroom also nice. Brilliant location to walk into town, however DO NOT take a taxi there from the bus station. The pedestrianised area makes it a much longer and more expensive trip than it needs to be.

Disliked: As there are only 2 rooms it is not somewhere to meet people or somewhere where the hosts make it their fulltime job, therefore they weren't as helpful as other hosts we stayed with.

Liked: Nice, bright and airy room with table to dine at and free internet - both of which were useful. Also, it was have kitchen facilities. The property is well located though was initially hard to find.

Disliked: The shower lacked hot water and the bathroom could have been maintained better.

Liked: It was a lovely apartment with everything we needed for a short stay and it was quite roomy. There was a beautiful view over the waterfront and we were situated right in the old town, within walking distance from the town centre / palace area, but we were also close to cafes/bars and shops so we had a nice sense of staying in amongst the local community. Mario was very friendly and welcoming. We loved staying here!

Disliked: My only warning would be about the hot water: make sure you don't switch off the boiler, which is easy to do as the switch is not marked and next to the light switch! Hot water was limited so we had to have very quick showers.

Liked: This room is very nice, nice furniture, Internet in the room, air conditioned, it's really in the center and not too far from the beach. The check-in just took a few minutes, it's possible (but not easy) to park the car in the streets nearby.Split is a fantastic city to visit and this place a very nice accommodation for couples, it might be more expensive than the average hostel but it's worth it.

Disliked: The street can be a bit noisy at night, but if you close the windows it's ok.
