Liked: This place was amazing! A really pretty house with a nice clean and spacious double room. It's about a 5-10 minute drive to the national park and the owner drove us in his car for a small fee and picked us up whenever we wanted. Really beautiful peaceful spot but the best thing is the host - really lovely guy who was very interesting and hospitable and great to talk to. Would definitely recommend.

Disliked: Nothing. Some people may prefer to be closer to the lakes but for value for money this location is perfect.

Liked: We loved staying here! The apartment owner couldn't have done more to accomodate us. so friendly, great guy! Drove us to the lakes on our first day and advised us on things to see and do. the warmest welcome we received in croatia! The apartment was just what we needed at the end of a long backpacking holiday. Had aircon, kitchen area, tv, balcony. was spotlessly clean and about 5 mins walk from bus stop which is on the main road so easy to reach lakes or transfer to other cities which was great as we were travelling without a car. There is a market, bar, a couple of restaraunts, petrol station and tourist info within 5 mins walk. would definately stay again and recommend to friends. lovely place to end our holiday.

Liked: Really good rooms for that price, and really close to Plitvice Lakes. Mr Kristic was the best host we've ever stayed with. Both me and my friend will definetly stay with him again the next time we go to Croatia.

Disliked: Not to many buses, but the people in Croatia was really friendly so hitchhiking was no problem.

Liked: Clean, safe, comfortable. Very friendly hosts, even picked us up from the park as the bus dropped us in the wrong place, so helpful.

Disliked: No shower fixture so it had to held by hand. Breakfast was 6 euro and was only white bread and a few slices of meat and cheese, with tea or coffee, not very good value.

Liked: The room we stayed in was lovely, the town was also lovely and only a short bus ride (10kn each way) to the plitvice lake national park

Disliked: The room had no air conditioning which made it unbelievabley hot during the day and at night. There was also no WiFi, but we found a cafe next door which had free WiFi, you just need to ask them for the password. Also, the man who dealt with us at the hostel, despite his friendliness he wasn't very helpful. He seemed to believe the bus to plitvice was free and wanted to charge us about 80kn to get to plitvice if we missed the bus.

Liked: Very friendly owner who went out of his way to help us. Brought us to and collected us from the park each day at a time that suited us. For those on a budget where accommodation inside the park is too expensive this is a great option. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The house is about 500 from a good and cheap restaurant that offers free wifi. There is a tourist office at the bus stop in Grabovac where you get off. They will ring the owner when you arrive and he will pick you up

Disliked: If you are very sensitive to traffic noise this might be a problem but it didn't bother us.

Liked: Nice, big, clean rooms that are not far from the Lakes (but I had a rental car). Owner is VERY friendly and a good fellow.

Disliked: No internet, but the owner offered to let me use his computer (there is also an internet cafe a few km up the road).

Liked: I stay in the two person ensuite 'with garden view's' was fantastic and would recomend it for other who are traveling and wanting to spend the night in plitvice. It was far away from the entrance but the owner picked us at the end of the day and dropped us there in the morning for a tiny fee

Disliked: not that social, if you are wanting to meet people

Liked: Got a great room as a solo traveler. Though the family that owns the house had an emergency and couldn't be there they still arranged for a neighbor to pick me up from the bus stop and show me around, and he was incredibly helpful and nice. Comfy bed, cute space, and the first decent night of sleep I had while in Croatia.

Disliked: It takes either a car or asking for a lot of tips to figure out the bus schedule to get there/back from the entrances to the park, but is really quite simple once you've figured it out.

Liked: The owners are amazingly helpful, friendly and hospitable. Because it was easter we couldn't get the bus to Plitvice as we'd planned. Instead we caught a bus and the owners drive for over an hour to puck us up so we didn't lose any days in our holiday. They drove us everywhere. Highly recommend it for a night

Disliked: It was very quiet and not much to do in the area other than the lakes.

Liked: Location. It was a short bus ride to the lakes. The owner picked us up from the bus stop when we arrived, The apartment is very clean and the beds are comfortable. Cable tv was a plus for stay-in evenings.

Liked: The owner is very kind and helpful, he drove us to the bus station and helped us when we arrived totally wet because it was raining during the Plitvice lake visit. Don't hesitate to book there if you want to visit Plitvice Lake, there is a bus from a camping nearby that goes in the morning and comes back in the afternoon.

Disliked: If the other travellers make noises, there is poor isolation between rooms.

Liked: Although this place was a little further out of town than we expected, our hosts were more than happy to come collect us. We stayed in the apartment, complete with kitchen, couch & balcony - a pleasant surprise from tiny hostels! Highly Recommended.
