The unforgettable impressions that you will experience united with the unique and outstanding beauty of the Plitvice Lakes National Park would be given the appropriate introduction and conclusion by staying at Nikola's House - one of the calmest houses located in the centre of the Park.

"Dear guests! The house was built some 30 years ago as a family holiday house. For over 20 years (mainly in August) we have been renting it to the Park visitors from all over the world. Surrounded by the green area, located 100 m to the bus station Jezerce-Mukinje and 1 km to the Park entrance (yet far enough from the main road to avoid the traffic noise), it has been favored by the tourists who prefer a calm house, by those who travel by bus and those who followed somebody else's recommendation. We have always been glad to meet people from different cultures.

Telling the international jokes along with exchanging the news and the views often led to new friendships, pleasant evening parties, joint trips around and outside the Park, etc. We still keep quite a few contacts. We have even been invited by our guests to be their guests. The house was recently renewed and reconstructed, so it gives the full comfort now. On the ground floor we have 2 double rooms** with optional 3rd bed. These rooms have bathrooms next to the room. On the first floor we have 4 double rooms*** with bathrooms inside the room. Two of these rooms share a balcony. There is a parking for 8 cars; there are 2 terraces; the breakfast is served inside and outside the house... You may arrive at any time of the day. You should leave the room by midday, but if you wish you may leave the luggage at the house and pick it up later on. The house is open from April 1st until September 30th. Contact us and be our guests. We speak: languages, so we should easily find a common language with you."

One of Croatia's 8 national parks and part of the UNESCO World Heritage, Plitvice Lakes with its 16 upper and lower lakes connected in cascades will take your breath away. Take your time and spend a day or two enjoying and you'll forget that virtual reality ever existed. Your senses will be conquered by panorama as well as by details, not to mention the vivid azure to turquoise color of the water, the highest waterfall (75 m), numerous species of birds, the variety of sounds of flowing water, the echoes, the silence... Try to stick to the wooden paths while visiting the Park and don't forget that you are in the wilderness.

The Park is equally beautiful throughout the year. Imagine the colors of the autumn forest, or frozen waterfalls and lakes in the winter as if stopped in time by some magic wand... The quantity and size of the waterfalls becomes indeed the largest in the springtime. Nevertheless a longer stay in the Park during the summer could be recommended. The days are as hot as they get along the Adriatic coast, but the nights are pleasantly refreshing (a blanket needed). You may explore the Park in many different ways - make wonderful photos, ride a bicycle, take a rowing boat on Kozjak lake, visit Black, White and Plitvica rivers, go fishing on Prošcansko lake, taste the traditional cuisine at Licka kuca restaurant..., or you may visit interesting places in the neighborhood - such as Cerovacke Caves, river Gacka, Rastoke in Slunj, Tesla's Memorial Centre in Smiljan, the Paklenica National Park, the Krka Waterfalls National Park, the Adriatic coast, Bihac in Bosnia and Herzegovina, or enjoy swimming in the river Korana...

Accommodation Information

The total accommodation capacity of the house is 14 persons.

Both Private Triple rooms on the ground floor are actually Private Double rooms** with the additional service: the third bed. All 3 beds must not be booked at the same time.
If all 3 beds are booked at the same tame, the price is 130 kunas per person / per night.
If only 2 beds are booked, the price is 140 kunas per person / per night.
Each of these rooms have their own bathroom next to the room.

Four Private Double Ensuites*** are on the first floor, each with bathroom inside the room.
