Liked: The house and the outside area are good to hang out, and the neighborhood is nice and quiet.

Disliked: Bathrooms and dorm are not entirely clean, dorms are in the basement and the three bunk beds seem a bit shaky, the staff are a bit brisk.

Liked: Dragan's Den was a great choice for Korcula as it is in walking distance from the town. The whole place was well equipped from the kitchen to the swimming pool! Dragan himself was kind enough to give us a lift from the port as well as promising us a free transfer back when we left..at 5.10am!

Disliked: It was quiet, though this may have been more to do with the fact that the season is coming to an end.

Liked: Dragan or his staff picks you up from the ferry. There was free taxi pick up at the hostel at 5:10 am to take you to the 6:00am ferry. Dragan drives into town around 10:30 am. Dragan goes cliff jumping with you around 12:30 or 1:00pm and then takes you to the beach after. Trips to the bar most nights. The walk to town is about 15-20 minutes. Walk to grocery store takes 5 minutes. The walk to a decent beach is 10 minutes. You can walk to Lumbarda beach (the best beach but it is still overrated) in about an hour and 15 minutes (or bike there in 25 min). Three bikes are free to use. Pool is warm and deck is sunny with lots of lounge chairs. Two kitchens and fridges. Free WiFi and a laptop is also available. Free laundry. Rooms were clean and bright and had great air conditioning (only 2 out of 8 double rooms have ensuites - email ahead to request one). Great atmosphere, great place to meet people. Dragan is a nice guy and my husband and I liked him.

Disliked: The dormitory is in the basement with no real windows and is very cramped with 20 beds (also I don't think the A/C was working down there). Most of the bunks are stacked 3 high and the top bunks are about 2 feet from the ceiling (meaning your cannot sit up in bed). ONLY 2 rooms have ensuites so email dragan and ask for one ahead of time!!!! There were 3 bathrooms for 20 dorm beds and 6 double rooms. Also, the hostel will frequently be full and dragan will welcome large camping groups (20+ people) to camp out on his terraces, meaning longer bathroom waits.

Liked: * Lots of great people. Great vibe. * It's just a big house Dragan has turned into a backpackers. * It's the only backpackers on the island, so its great value for money.

Disliked: * There's a reason why its called dragans den. The 20bed dorm is literally underground, with bunks 3 levels high. And the room is like a long corridor, really pretty creepy. * The place is SO disorganised. Dragan has no idea whats going on. Constantly overbooking by accident, and having to move people around. * Dragan is a sleezy guy, not someone you'd want to spend a lot of time around.

Liked: great place to stay. dragan, the owner, is really helpful and friendly, the people around have been just great and it was lots of fun. the free tours offered from the hostel are great (especially the kliff jumpimg), nightlife in korcula town aswell! would recomend it to everybody!!!

Disliked: its not that close to korcula town (abot 20 minits) ore to any beach (but dragan normally drives you there). probably a problem is, that there are only 3 bathrooms and if there are staying a lot of people (wich usually do) it could take a while to use the shower ore the toilett... if you want a quiet place it's probably not the right aswell

Liked: It is the cheapest option in high season in Korcula

Disliked: The owner is weird, the place is a little bit of a mess, the hostel is actually runned by "helpers" who are travellers staying there for a week or so. They have no control on availability, the mattresses in the dorms are uncomfortable and the dorm is a 20 beds, no ventilation large room.

Liked: The house was nice, clean and roomy.

Disliked: Trust the other reviewers, the owner is seriously shady. Not only did he constantly make comments about body and clothes and decision to spend time with my friends instead of his posse, he actually got two girls arrested during my stay. They were recruiting guests at the port (illegal unless you have a working visa), got their passports taken away and had to go to court. I heard this happened last year also - apparently Dragan routinely takes advantage of his young guests' ignorance and buys them a lousy meal afterwards. Take your money somewhere else.

Liked: Great people! Good common areas to hang out. The room was nice with a huge bed and ensuite bathroom- really good value for the price. The little pool is cute. Well equipped kitchen to use. There are even plum trees! Dragan was quite helpful with picking us up from the port/taking us places. He also does a good job of bringing everyone together in the hostel

Disliked: Super random place. Dragan is a super random dude. That's about all I can say. And the house is pretty far from town- i definitely agree with others in that you kind of have to rely on Dragan to drive you places

Liked: One of the rare properties where you are positively suprised upon arrival. Fantastic facilities, great atmosphere. A party guy in charge of the place making it all very "chilled", holiday and party like. Dragan organises group trips to the beach, cliff jumping etc.. Air con + king size bed (and i mean KINGSIZE) in the double rooms for 13-15e a night per person. Free wifi + laptop for guests. Pool, loads of long chairs, balcony for sunsets, common rooms... The whole setting creates a mixed atmosphere between uni and sunny holidays!

Disliked: Location isn't amazing, you do depend a bit on dragan to drive you around. But 10 in a mini van with party rock on full blast isn't too bad! However I do agree with previous comments that Dragan is quite a character.. He was real cool with us, but i can imagine him not being quite so nice and helpful sometimes. I guess his behavior and attitude hugely affect the atmosphere and quality of your stay!

Liked: It was a good place to meet people who were also backpacking, and it did have a small pool which was good to hang out at in the evenings. For the price I paid to stay in a dorm it was not particularly bad, however I later found out it would have been much cheaper to stay in private apartments in the old town.

Disliked: The host was rude and clearly not interested in his job; instead he chose to spend his time flirting with all of the women that came to stay at the hostel - I would not recommend it to any female only parties. It was much further out of town than the website states, and to get to the beaches you need to drive (whilst staying I heard several stories about the host driving people to places and then not going to pick them up despite having made arrangements). As a side note I was also told whilst staying that some of the overwhelmingly positive reviews about Dragan's Den have been paid for.

Liked: You get alot for your money at this hostel / guesthouse. Two great kitchen's, a host that does more than expected for his guests, a pool, private rooms are like a room at your grandmothers, and 2 common rooms with movies/ music, bikes and more. Currently on a years world trip, stayed in dozens of hostels, this is a top five.

Liked: The work-away staff there were fantastic. They seriously made my stay there! The hostel is nice enough, a big house, though a fair distance from town (20 minute walk), but Dragan did drive us in a couple of times and pick me up from the bus, which was good. There are two kitchens so enough space for everyone to cook and a supermarket nearby. Dragan also took us cliff-diving which was so much fun!

Disliked: Dragan was seriously off-putting to female travellers. He shamelessly hit on girls, making them feel uncomfortable. He also mistreated his staff, telling them off in front of hostel guests- very unprofessional. Whilst others were upgraded for free I was put in a dormitory room in the basement, which has twenty beds in a cellar-like room. Luckily I was alone for my stay so it wasnt too bad, but could have been very uncomfortable.

Liked: Great place. Everything as described in reviews, a bit outside of the city but it's nice walk and Dragan is very friendly and helpful on giving lifts, guiding people around, etc. He's a bit of a character, but he's definitely a good guy.

Disliked: Dorm is a bit dungeon like, dark and very moist, probably pretty intense in peak season time when it's completely filled up, but it's a good place to stay nonetheless.

Liked: Everything. Absolutely outstanding facilities and friendliness (even more so than everyone else in Croatia). Dragan will even drive you around if the 20 minute walk into town seems too much. 2 Kitchens and living rooms with everything. Honestly like going to stay at a rich relative's holiday home. Stayed in off season but clearly had a great lively atmosphere when a bit busier. DVDs, Wifi, sofa in room! We stayed in private room, but the dorms we saw looked good as well. Could not ask for more.

Disliked: Absolutely nothing.
