Liked: The owners are charming and really lovely. They gave me tips on where to go and a free coffee in the morning.

Disliked: There wasn't really any lounge to meet travellers.

Liked: The private double ensuite room I stayed in was large, clean and well appointed. The owner provided some tips on things to do on Hvar, and the location was very nice.

Liked: Really helpful owners, sat down on arrival and talked through all the places to go in the town. Clean and bright rooms.

Disliked: There wasn't much going on there so hard to meet people if you're traveling alone.

Liked: Again the warmest of welcomes, clean, simple and charming room in a great locatio. Kitchen came in handy this year as well. This is simply the best stop on our tour of the Balkans.

Disliked: No washing machine, but you cant have everything (like I cant have apostrophes on this keyboard...)

Liked: The host was very welcoming and suggested many activities for us to do.

Disliked: There were lots of yellow signs explaining the rules all over the place, which wasn't ideal. There was no access to towels which we would really have appreciated. The host recommended to us the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at - don't go to the Golden Sea Shell unless you really, really like salt. Noise carries a lot in this hostel so you don't get the best night's sleep. Access to the kitchen is appreciated but it is quite poorly stocked, so if you want a corkscrew or cooking pans you have to track down the host and borrow these items.

Liked: Of all the places we stayed, I would rate House Zakaria very highly. The couple who run it could not be more helpful, trying to be flexible to accomodate the needs of all their guests, and providing a briefing on arrival of what to do in Hvar. Location is great, only 5 mins from the promenade, our double room was clean and tidy, and it was a great place to meet people.

Liked: -Private and calm, we had a nice studio apartment just outside the guesthouse-Good information from the host when we arrived-Clean-Terrace and kitchen for the guests

Disliked: -The room wasn´t ready so we had to wait until 14.00 before we could check in

Liked: Great kitchen, the owner and wife are absolutely lovely! Very clean! And free internet.

Liked: The owners are lovely, so helpful and kind. The property is in a great location, so close to the harbour and walk to the beach. Many steps to walk up to it but it is fine.Clean, neat and tidy. Perfect!

Liked: The people who own the hostel are very friendly and facilitating and the communal kitchen area is very useful for those who are trying to stick to a budget. Also, the communal terrace area proved to be a very good place to meet other travellers. Our room was very clean and comfortable and overall it was good value for money.

Liked: Besides the steps to get up there (which was our fault for the massive suitcases) it is remarkably close to everything. We never even considered public transport unles going to another island. We met heaps of people and the owners were beautiful and offered all there pointers on arrival!

Liked: we had a fully self contained unit to ourselves and when you have been travelling for a while and need somewhere to set out and relax this is perfect. easily the best place we stayed while travelling through croatia. the owner was amazingly helpful and catered to the type of room we asked for and was a short 5min walk in to the heart of hvar. you stay amoungst the local towns people and they ae also very helpful..... overall perfect stay!

Liked: This is the best accommodation in my journey. We have a small but very clean studio to stay in Hvar. It is really nice. But the house is liitle difficult to find when you first time been there.

Liked: Great place to stay! Luka and Ines were really nice! We even booked a Twin Double and got a Double bed room Ensuite on the top floor with a great view over the sea for the same price! Really helpful couple! Obrigado!

Liked: We were upgraded from a 4 bed dorm to a private apartment with a balcony over the ocean!! for no extra charge! the lady owner sat us down with cordial when we arrived and showed us a map with the beaches and cheapest restaurants. i would defintely stay there again!!

Liked: This was like a self contained apartment, which was spacious and clean. The owner was very welcoming and greeted us with a nice cold drink upon arrival. He also gave us information and maps for the local area.
