Liked: We had the most amazing stay here, 2 nights just wasn't enough, we met some amazing people. I loved the outdoor kitchen even though ittook about 7 days to heat up a pan or water. Chilling outside at sunset was amazing and in the heat of the day chilling on the hammock was insanely relaxing. LOVE LOVE LOVE HVAR

Disliked: Had to pay for laundry one day it was 50 kuna the next it was 100. The hill was a bugger too.

Liked: The only thing I liked about this hostel were the other people that stayed there.

Disliked: This hostel has many rules that need to be listed here. Have to be quite by 11pm but we got kicked out before 10pm when we were having a party night. You can not bring in glass bottles of beer into the hostel. Any beer you put in the fridge will be removed and put on the floor. Also WiFi got turned off by owner on a regular basis when people were using it and also changed the password without telling people staying there. The staff/owner were so rude and decided to take whatever anger they have out on travelers. I have never been spoken like that in my life and would not recomend anyone else put yourselves trough that. There are much better and cheaper places to stay in even better locations. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOSTEL.

Liked: We liked that there was a communal fridge, and areas to make food. The patio was a great place to hang out with everyone, and the staff was friendly. There were security boxes in all the rooms as well which was nice. The staff also had a deal with one of the bars, so we got free shots! amazing!

Disliked: nada!...except the stove/hot plate was not the best for cooking.

Liked: Great atmosphere. Was the perfect place to stay and meet plenty of people. The staff were so friendly and really make an effort to make sure everyone has a great time.

Disliked: No air conditioning in our rooms

Liked: Had a bit of character, the bean bags were a nice touch. They ran a little outing to one of the bars in town (which they neglected to tell us about on entrance for whatever reason) so we got a free shot from the expensive bars which was nice. The room and showers were clean and the staff were nice. Town and beaches are a short walk away.

Disliked: There's one laptop to share between the entire hostel. Finding it wasn't easy either, the directions need revising.

Liked: It has an awesome view of the ocean. Its pretty small so pretty easy to meet people. Staff are really nice. Nice terrace to sit out and relax and have a few drinks with other travellers. Down near the pier they have little boats that take you to other islands for the day which was brilliant.

Disliked: Basically no-one has sheets until about 10pm then has to choose between a sheet and a pillowcase cause they didn't have enough. I couldn't get my washing done till about 10hours after asking and they wouldn't let me do it myself. Its a bit of a walk up quite lot of steps to get to any shops or supermarket. 10am checkout is a bit early. They don't hire towels so I had to buy one. Its a nice place but not very organised.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful! The atmosphere is good if you want to party. Good toilet and shower facilities in the second floor, not very good in the first floor. Good common areas outside with chairs, tables and huge "pillowchairs" to relax in :) There are lockers, but you have to bring your own padlock.

Disliked: The kitchen is outdoor and not very well equipped. The rooms become very hot, and they only have a small fan in the ceiling. The hostel is not in the town centre, maybe 5-10 min walk up a hill. It is ok if you are prepared to sweat!

Liked: AMAZING hostel, had originally intended to stay for two nights but loved it so much and ended up staying for four. Clean, comfortable rooms, but the highlight for me was the outside seating and cooking areas, a really fun place to meet people and have some beers in the sunshine. Really friendly and helpful staff, fun and relaxed atmosphere, and a hammock.

Disliked: Its on the top of a hill, so climbing those steps every night... seriously though, my thighs have never been so toned.

Liked: Nice Staff, Quiet Place, 10 min walk to city center, They sell beers

Disliked: I think it was overbooked so they put me in the neighbors guesthouse and I wasnt actually in the hostel, No lockers in room, Only 1 computer in hostel, The shower head was really incoviniently located, The rooms window had the option of fresh air comin in or darkness ( I chose air so the room had lots of light in the early morining)

Liked: I had the most amazing time at this hostel! I immediately met a ton of people upon arrival and spent the rest of my stay surrounded by friends. The staff were awesome, especially Diana, who often came out with us and was a lot of fun to talk to. All the staff were very welcoming, helpful and cheerful. The hostel itself was always very clean. I loved the outdoor kitchen, which most of used every meal, and we spent a lot of time gathered around the table outside or in the beanbags/hammock area. I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere other than the Green Lizard while in Hvar - I definitely recommend it to anyone going there!!!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They met us at the ferry and gave us information on things to do in Hvar. The bedrooms were clean.

Disliked: Security could be increased.

Liked: THE VIEW, what a good way to start your day, then sitting down with your coffee and enjoying the sea!!! Also very friendly place, because there are not many hostels in Hvar, so even in low season, still enough people to have some fun and not feel alone!

Disliked: no interior commun room, so when the nights get chilly, it is bad to all go finish the night in your room!

Liked: The hostel arranges nights eg. cocktail night so you can meet other people staying there. The rooms are basic but comfortable.

Disliked: We didn't feel welcome at any of the social events as the hostel had a very cliquey atmosphere. Some people didn't even achknowledge our presence when we walked past them. Having said that some people were friendly, but this was the least friendly place we stayed on all of our travels.

Liked: Really lively hostel, always something going on there and people to meet. Nice outdoor kitchen area and clean & secure rooms.

Disliked: Quite a long way from the main town- hard work arriving with a backpack- but the same goes for many of the hostels in Hvar.

Liked: It's a beautifully kept hostel relatively close to Hvar harbour. It has a great outdoor area next to the outdoor kitchen where everyone cooks in the evening and chills out with drinks before heading off en masse to the town. I also liked the arrangement that the hostel had with Kiva Bar for us all to have a free shot when we arrived at the bar each night.The showers are very powerful and there was nearly always plenty of hot water and the rest of the hostel was immaculately well kept.The staff - I think it was Tonina who was working the week I was there - as well as the older staff who were there were amazingly helpful, friendly and very laid back.What else can I say? This was one of my favourite stops of the trip and this hostel had a lot to do with that...

Disliked: If you weren't going out to drink after 11pm, there was really very little to do in the hostel. It completely closes and your only option is to go to your room - something like a chilled out DVD lounge would really make this place complete. The computer provided at the hostel was also quite slow but aside from these two things, it's hard to fault what is a brilliant hostel!

Liked: Atmosphere was fantastic; after over a month of staying in hostels, this was by far the most communal. Staff did a fantastic job of bringing guests together & showing them the local nightlife
