Hazel StratfordWe stayed here at the beginning and end of our holiday. The owners are really friendly and helpful although the older couples english is not great but you can get by. The house is up a few steps (tho so are most places in dubrovnik!!) but they made us drinks every time we came up them! its located pretty much halfway between the old city and the port so its really handy, its a 15-20 min walk either way or theres buses. |

Jack HillThe owners were very friendly, treating us to orange squash and biscuits on arrival, and a glass of rakija (the local home-made drink) when leaving. They were always cheerful and helpful with directions to places. The room was on it's way to being dated with a lack of air-conditioning, but was of good quality, and was very clean. The kitchen had a large fridge, all the stuff needed for cooking your own meals, and the bathroom was again slightly dated, but was clean. The property also has a nice terrace with grape-vines growing on it to sit out on in the evening. The only issue we had was that there is little parking available. There is very little other than on the street where you have to run the risk of a ticket if you can't work out how to pay for parking over the phone - we got one but it'll probably (hopefully) get forgotten. Recommended to people on a budget holiday without a car rather than to backpackers. |

Customer reviewLocation was far from bus station and Old City. However, the room is cozy and comfort. My husband picked and ate the grapes hanged outside the terrance. |

Customer reviewMy boyfriend and I did a tour in Croatie and we were so lucky to stay in Anka rooms for the night! The owners are such lovely people. They don't speak english at all, but their son speaks englisch quite good. They do what they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. There is no curfew, the room and bathroom are very clean, it's quiet and they give you the best lemonade. No room was as good as Anka rooms! |

Customer reviewAnka was lovely, when we arrived we had coughs and she made us chai tea each night before bed! Although her english is not very good she was as helpful as possible and it made the experience more fun rather than talking to just another Australian. |

Customer reviewThe relaxing atmosphere of the hostel and the friendliness of the staff (an erderly couple who will help you in everything even if they don't speak your language) is the best. The worst is the location, quite far from the city center. If you don't mind walking, that's your place! |

Mark BernhardtThe accomodation is clean, and the double room we had was MASSIVE, with a balcony and views over the hills and port of NEW Dubrovnik. Anka and her husband are possibly the biggest PLUS factor though...friendly, kind, only too willing to help....and just so bubbly and full of life....it felt more like a homestay than a hostel stay - would definitely stay there again when visiting Dubrovnik....a real bonus experience to a fantastic city and islands! |

Customer reviewAnka, her husband and her son were great! She is such a sweet woman, and even though she doesn't speak much English, she was able to direct me to the bus stop so I could get to Old Town easily. If I'm ever able to return to Dubrovnik, I would definitely stay at Anka's again, I highly recommend it. |

Reeta NykänenAnka was a very nice and cheerful lady. We didn't have a common language but she offered us coffee and biscuits when we arrived. The room was very clean and it had its own balcony. Shops and bakeries nearby. |

Customer reviewThe people were very friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely and clean and was more like an bed and breakfast than a hostel. The only down side was that the pillows were a bit too high and it was about a 20min walk from either the bus station or the old town (good for those who want to go to bed early and like a bit on piece and quite). Other than that I think it has been one of the nicest places I stayed throughtout my whole trip. |

Jessica PritchardThe staff were really friendly and greeted us with juice and biscuits when we arrived. They don't speak English but their Son and Grandson do so there isn't a problem there. It is quite a long walk from the old town, about 25 minutes and buses are quite expensive. We also found it quite difficult to find at first but in the end someone who knew them took us there. After speaking to other people I have found out that it was quite expensive for the budget traveller. Cheaper accommodation is available. However I really enjoyed my stay and would reccomend this hostel. |

Emil MoldovanI liked that it has a good position related to the closest beach and the old city center, supermarket is 200m hear and opened almost all the time. Owners are very kind and friendly, unfortunately they don't speak English only a bit, but body language and few slavic words are just enough to say or do:). Payment can be done either in Euros or Kuna and price is very OK for a hostel in Dubrovnik. Rooms are clean and had also air conditioning, so the stay there was absolutely fine. Thanks a lot and enjoy your stay! Emil& Jitka [Romania and Czech Republic] |

matti tuliainenIt is a nice and good place for backpackers, but for who traveled by car and carried suitcases it was not: high steps and no parking space |
