Liked: These were more private rooms than a hostel, so it's a great place to stay for a quiet vacation. The host's parents were lovely and even if language was a barrier they always made an effort to understand our questions and provided wonderful hospitality.

Liked: anka rooms is seriously awesome. i stayed there a few weeks ago with two of my friends in a private triple. its a house where anka actually lives with her sweet husband and their son ante, who runs the renting of the rooms part of things. we arrived pretty late and it was no big deal, ante gave us the lowdown on everything and brought us out some cold refreshments seeing that we had had a long journey. the room was spotless and comfortable giving it great value (it was cheaper than a not as nice room we ended up staying in in dubrovnik later). its in a great location cause its halfway between the bus/ferry terminal and the old town and there are buses that run if you dont feel like taking the twenty minute walk. the first morning, anka, who doesnt speak much english but is a lovely woman made us coffee and gave us cookies our first morning when we woke up. we were also there for the uefa champions league football match and ante's dad, a huge stud, let us come into his living room and chill with him and watch the game. all in all it was a great stay and i highly recommended. if youre looking for a real hostel experience with tons of backpackers, this isnt for you because its only two rooms in somebodys house. but if youre looking for a quiet atmostphere where you can still do whatever you want in a great location with great people then anka rooms is your jam.

Liked: friendly staff and nice room. Only downside is location - good 15 mins walk into old town (all up/down hill). If we went back to Dubrovnik we would look at staying in old town.

Liked: Very friendly, helpful people. A lovely guest house, a bit of a walk to the old town, but great value for money. nice big clean room.

Liked: The place was ideal for us as a couple with plenty of time on our hands. The kitchen and bathroom were a little dated, but perfectly functional. The bed was nice and the balcony was very relaxing. A bit of a hike to and from town, up a few stairs at the end, but not off-putting. The owners were extrremely freindly and helpful.
