Liked: Super-clean hostel. Well prepared breakfast. I could start walking tour with energy!! The host-Milo(thanks again!!)- was very, very kind. When I stayed in Dubrovnik, it was very windy and cloudy- sometimes heavy rains...However, with his help, I could enjoy the last days of my vacation. You should walk about 15 minutes(? I am not sure..) from Old City Wall to Villa Klaic. It could be felt to be a little long way. But it becomes to be another good point for me. As there are so many good restaurants in Old City, some walks after dinner was very necessary. You do not have to worry about security when you walk to the Villa Klaic. If things are not changed, the town is very safe. Conclusion; I strongly recommend this hostel.

Disliked: Nothing. I will visit there again.

Liked: I've travelled all over the world and have stayed in many hostels, guesthouses and hotels and i would definitely rate this as one of the best places that I've ever stayed at! All around excellent value for money and establishment has attitude of excellence. The only difficulty for un-fit people might be the many steps going up and down to Old Town Dubrovnik but Milo even went as far as offering to pick me up from the Old Town on my way to bus station in later morning so I could go to beach before leaving and not have to go up another flight up the steps! That's going the extra mile! They even gave a farewell souvenir gift...I've never had that before. Keep it up, Villa Klaic!

Liked: the helpfulness of the staff. They wanted you to get the best from your visit. They were very willing to take/collect you from public transport.

Disliked: Someone neede to really clean the rooms free of hair and dust. The air conditioning machine did not work properly even after they said they would fix it.

Liked: I believe the best accommodation we experienced in Croatia (and we had real good ones!). Located on top of the hill next to the old city center of Dubrovnik, a 10 minute walk. Guests need to be a bit sporty as to get to the city center you need to descend +/- 400 stairs. Okay it’s a lot but the view you get in return when sitting on our terrace is amazing. And the walk is trough little cosy streets. Other option is to take the bus (bus stop is just in the street above the apartment, less then 1 minute walk). But we preferred the romantic walk. We believe we booked a room but when we arrived we got a big apartment (for the same price!) with a terrace that had a beautiful view on the sea. Everything you need is there, offering a great comfort and it’s spotless clean. Also free WiFi and airco. We loved it!! There is no private parking place directly at the apartment (the streets are so narrow that a car can’t pass) but there are some parking places at the big street behind (the host can help you with a place and it’s safe). Breakfast is very correct and good, fresh bread, eggs with ham and cheese, different yoghurts, etc. The service is also remarkable! We read that 5 star hotels can learn from them and we can confirm. Upon arrival the host took the time to sit with us, offered us a beer, explanations about Dubrovnik and a pleasant talk. Lovely people! Funny, friendly and welcoming. You feel at ease, at home! There is a nice swimming pool available and a beer tap (where guests can drink for free). When we left we also got a goodbye present. Very thoughtful. Going to Dubrovnik? Book this place!

Liked: Couldn't speak hightly enough, fabulous room, spotlessly clean, fabulous views and fabulous hosts. Great breakfast, lot's of fresh fruit. Pick up and drop off at the main bus station made it very accessable .with luggage

Disliked: Lot of step to negotiate but don't let it put you off!!

Liked: Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, particularly Milo (the owner) and Ivo! Since we stayed a week, we got the largest room that had fan/air-con, which was very considerate. Everything was very clean. Really nice breakfast. Stunning view. Nice pool. Really relaxed and nice atmosphere.

Disliked: The stairs to reach the property from the Old Town, but this was to be expected and made up by the fact that this was such a great property, with great value for money and amazing staff!

Liked: The property was beautiful and milo is the perfect host. Had an amazing time and was the perfect end to our trip, as could relax by the pool during the heat of the day and stroll down to the old town in the morning and night.

Liked: the helpfullness of the stuff,the view,the athmosphere the little pool,breakfeast with great choice.

Disliked: a lot of stairs from downtown,but it keeps you fit and still is a nics walk.

Liked: I cannot say enough about the quality of Villa Klaic. From the moment we stepped off the plane (we had arranged airport pick up) we felt so welcomed. Our room was ready immediately even though we arrived early in the morning, Milo and his family were SO friendly, provided great information about the city, and went out of their way to help us however they could without hovering. Our room was impeccably clean and the view from the Villa is beautiful. Wifi was never an issue, and breakfast was great with a selection of breads, cold meats, cheeses, fruits, yoghurts, coffee, tea, etc. etc.

Disliked: It was a bit of a trek up the stairs from Old Town, but this wouldn't stop me from staying there again. There are quite a few stops along the way to rest and admire the view, which you would miss entirely if you were staying in Old Town.

Liked: Milo, the owner is a gem. He is ever willing to offer assistance to his guests. He greeted me as soon as I arrived and it was lovely talking with him. The room and bathroom is clean and bed comfy. Shame I could'nt enjoy the pool because my stay was too short. I can't wait to go back!

Disliked: Nothing. Could not have wished for it to be better!

Liked: - Amazing owner (Milo ?) He really is too good to be true and easy on the eyes for his age. He will come and pick you up from the bus station for free. - Nice & clean property, only a 10-15 min. walk from Old Town

Disliked: - Well, it's on top of the hill that overlooks the bay near Old Town. So, you have to climb A LOT of stairs.

Liked: Milo, the owner, can not do enough to make the stay pleasant - whether transport, advice, info for the traveller or supplying complimentary drinks. Rooms are spacious and air conditioned, and the pool is good with beautiful views over the city. Some reviews here make reference to the amount of steps; true, there is a lot, but if you have a problem with steps then Dubrovnik is really not a city you should be visiting - definitely don't let these be the reason you miss out on staying at this wonderful place.

Disliked: Nothing - Milo makes everything perfect.

Liked: We opted from collection from the airport, and from the moment we were picked up the owners couldn't do enough for us. Very relaxed and laid-back, offered us all the advice we needed, was always available for questions, and yet never too intrusive. Highly recommended.

Disliked: The only downside is the long walk up steps from the Old Town. I measured it at 250m vertically and it took 20m+ in the heat. But, it was still doable and was good exercise =) And the view from the accommodation itself makes it worth it!

Liked: A truly superb place to stay and I should know after travelling the World! Milo (the host) was incredibly friendly, offering all sorts of help and assistance during my stay. He will also pick you up and drop you off for free from the bus station which is excellent. My room was really comfortable and despite the heat outside I had no problems at all sleeping. The bathroom was modern and well kept. Breakfast was spot on with lovely selection of breads, cheese, meat, fruit and yoghurt. Orange and apple juices also available with a gorgeous view of the bay to enjoy whilst eating. The pleasant south facing swimming pool always had warm water which was perfect after a long day sightseeing. The free WiFi and the added bonus of free lager on draught was simply brilliant, especially looking over the bay as the sun sets. The location of the Villa offers stunning views over the bay, with a 10-15 walk to the centre of Dubrovnik. There are plenty of steps which wasn't a problem for me as the route was mostly traffic-free and was a great exercise! Overall, I highly recommend this accommodation based on the value for money, the free WiFi + lager and most of all the brilliant customer service.

Disliked: I liked everything about my stay.

Liked: Clean, has everything, fantastic sea views from the pool, beer by the pool on arrival, Milo - the best host in Europe, if not the world.

Disliked: If you're not fit you might struggle with the MANY steps to the old town. But if you don't mind a hike (which is of course good for you) then this is no issue.
