This hostel was a great place to meet fellow backpackers and to be part of an extended family. The staff are really helpful and there are many facilities and services on offer. The day trips to Montenegro in particular are fantastic and highly recommended.

EVERYTHING! The family were so kind to us, we really felt at home here. There is not one thing that we can fault about this hostel. The best by far!

The greatest hostel! I was traveling Croatia alone and on my first day there I met four other people traveling alone. We had such a great time! The manager of the hostel took us to Lopud Island to his friends property. The day was amazing, grilling fresh fish, eating oranges off of trees, homemade wine and grappe, going to the beach... and for a fraction of the price you would pay for an island tour. If you want to meet other travelers, spend time with locals and see amazing things this is a fantastic hostel!

A great hostel! More like a villa. We were greeting at out fairy boat by the son the hostel owner, who then drove us to the hostel. The mother made a great, c1heap meal. I would def. recommend this hostel. Great hospitality and fun

Extraordinarily friendly staff who made the place feel like home. While I was there the other guests in my room were extremely trustworthy; however there were no locker facilities in the room which might have been less acceptable had the company been different. Full kitchen, free phone and internet, spacious and comfortable rooms and stunning views of the harbour from the common room patio. Plus the manager organizes fantastic daytrips into the surrounding area for next to nothing - while I was there we went on a full day excursion into fishing villages, had an outstanding three course lunch at a restaurant with breathtaking views and did winetastings at several vineyards - for about 35 euros.

Incredibly friendly and helpful Croatian family that made us feel right at home. Ivica organises great daytrips, we can highly recommend a trip to Montenegro with him.

We had an amazing experience at this hostel. The hostel owner, Ivica, really goes over and above what is expected - including taking us around town, picking us up from the airport, letting us try some free homemade wine and grilled fish, and even organizing a trip to Montenegro with 2 other backpackers. We highly recommend! Dubrovnik is definitely one of the highlights of my European travels. The ONLY thing is that the busses are expensive...but you get over it quickly :)

They picked us up from the sea port complimentry and then welcomed us with food and wine. They made us feel comfortable straight away and it felt just like home. They where full of suggestions of what to do and where to go and they also run tours to various places. This really is the best!!!

The upstairs kitchen/common room is great. It has all the amenities you need plus a great atmosphere in the lounge and balcony area even during the off-season (I was their for New Year's). The room was clean and simple with a nice clean bathroom and great shower. Though it was wintertime when I stayed there, the place and the city of Dubrovnik were great fun. The city organized free transportation on New Year's eve to the old city where they put up a party and concerts by some excellent bands. That was an extra perk.

We were so lucky to have chosen this hostel over Christmas. We were taken into the family and felt as though we had our own family Christmas even on the other side of the world. It is more like a homestay kind of place but it is so welcoming and I have never eaten such good food!! Thanks.

Everyone was so friendly, it was so much more than a hostel, I might just go back to Dubovnik just to stay there again!

The people who run this hostel are delightful - you get to meet the manager's parents as the space is sort of communal; they make you feel very welcome though. It is closer to the port than the old town which might put some people off, but beautifully clean and tidy. I was here very low season so didn't meet anyone but the lack of occupants shouldn't be attributed to a bad set-up here. Would love to come back and see their little balcony in summer when it's in full swing!
