Liked: Wonderful Family, great place to stay! Great facilities and comfy beds.

Disliked: The only complaint is that it is far from the center of town. Might be a good thing in the summer because it is close to beaches but for winter it was a pain to take the bus everywhere.

Liked: Wonderful family run hostel! All of the family members were so nice and welcoming, they really want their guests to feel like a part of their family.

Disliked: Nothing really. Sadly I was the only one there due to the time of year, but I was made to feel right at home.

Liked: The whole family were amazing! On arrival I was given liqueur and cake, a wee history lesson and heaps of ideas about what I can get up to during my stay. Highly recommend doing the day trip to Bosnia - take your swimmers! Ended up extending my stay and meeting some awesome people

Disliked: It is not central town so be prepared to catch the bus (about 100m down the road and only about 10 mins to town and also goes directly to the bus station) but well worth staying outside of the loud areas if you want a decent sleep.

Liked: The host and hostess are very kind and helpful. When I wasn't able to find a restaurant for dinner, they cooked for me. Although I did pay for the meal, the price is quite reasonable comparing to the street price, plus it's a home cooking meal. They also offered me a ride to the airport, with a very reasonable cost.

Disliked: The location is a bit off, but very quiet and not that inconvenient, one bus gets your there, you can also walk. Laundry for 10 euro is a bit pricey (without dryer), but that's same in Bosnia, so maybe it's normal in these countries.

Liked: It's a well-worn cliche, but this place really does feel like home. You're looked after really well, but not fussed over, there is no pressure to do this tour or that tour, and you can just laze around the common room if you like. Breakfast is amazing, as are the cheap dinners on offer, and the location and family running the hostel are both fantastic. Would have no hesitation in recommending this place

Liked: Very welcoming hostel managed by a warm and wonderful family. They feed you a great breakfast, ply you with whatever information you need, and create a sociable and extremely friendly atmosphere. As a solo female traveller i felt very much at home here and met many other travellers. The daytrip to Bosnia is fantastic, very informative guide and you visit places that are off-the-beaten-track. Excellent hostel, I thoroughly recommend a stay here. Fara, London.

Liked: I've stayed at dozens of hostels, and this family run hostel stands out as the best. The family is so welcoming, it was like a home away from home. This hostel has an awesome atmosphere....it's the kind of place you end up staying longer than you originally planned, and the kind of place where you meet lots of cool backpackers.

Liked: the best part about the hostel is the family running it. they are all very welcoming and kind people, always willing to do whatever is necessary to help you out and let you feel at home.

Disliked: not much to complain about. i guess the bunk beds weren't always great - i was stuck on the bottom. but everyone in my room was always very nice and respectful of everyone else's property.

Liked: You are made to feel incredibly welcome, like part of the family! Clean with good facilities and an amazing atmosphere, the best hostel experience I have ever had, I would recommend this hostel to everyone!

Liked: What can I say about this family-run hostel, except that it is in fact home away from home. The Perkovic family is super friendly and will help you if you ask.You cannot rate friendlinessas good at this hostel, because it is much greater than good. I would (and will, having the chance) recommend this hostel to everyone I know who goes to Dubrovnik.I wish you all the best and hope that you can prosper and meet lots of backpackers who can laugh with you and that will leave a sweet memory in your hearts as you leave in ours. :)

Liked: Family Perkovic stole my heart with their friendliness. It was a fantastic stay, I couldn't have felt more welcome. I met some great people there and the day trip to Bosnia was just amazing. In plain words: everything works. I miss Dubrovnik already.

Disliked: The only downside is having to take a bus to get to the Old Town - it runs till late though. But beaches and dinner is only minutes away.

Liked: Milka and her family are lovely and helpful and you really feel like part of the family, especially if you are travelling alone. The other travellers staying there were great and the layout and size of the hostel makes it easy to meet others. The trips to Bosnia and Montenegro are worth every penny as the groups are small so not regimented like other tours available. I booked for 3 nights and ended up staying 7 as enjoyed it there so much and quite a few others extended their stay!

Liked: The staff are amazing here at DBC. The most friendliest people Ive ever met. Left this backpackers feeling like part of the family.

Liked: This hostel/guesthouse was marvelous! Milka and her family are friendly and amazingly hospitable! Eating breakfast together every morning was marvelous and a great time and place to meet people! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone traveling through dubrovnik! so much fun!
