Liked: What a find! Danica and family couldn't have been nicer or more helpful or hospitable. It was worth far more than what they were charging! Next time we are in Dubrovnik we will plan to stay with Danica and family for much longer,Please God. In the meantime we will be sending her all our friends on route to Medjugorje so can get get a little taste of heaven before they even get to Medjugorje!! thanks again, Danica--Patrick and Gemma Leyne--Calgary, Canada

Liked: Danica was an amazing host. She took time to tell us about Dubrovnik and introduce us to Croatian life. The rooms had a good view over the harbour. We enjoyed being at that side of town and found that we could walk everywhere. There are lots of steps up from the harbour, but you can take a bus if you don't like walking much. We would definitely stay with Danica again.

Liked: Danica made our stay in Dubrovnik truly unforgettable WOW WOW WOW. She is the lovliest most hospitable host and welcomes you into her home with open arms. Her Turkish Coffees unbeatable. The views are A++++ you would be a fool not to stay here. Its quiet, super clean, safe and extremely comfortable and convenient to public transport etc. She helped us with our itinerary as she used to be a travel agent and gave us a few options. I really wish there were more people like Danica out there, she does so much more then she should and doesn't expect anything in return. We would love to return the favour if she ever came to New Zealand she would definintley be treated like one of the family

Liked: Marija is amazing. We have been travelling for 7 weeks now and to stay at a place that makes you feel like home is great. Its an easy bus from the old town and only a quick walk down some stairs to get the ferries for the various day trips. Marija helped us with ferry times plus any other information we needed which made our stay amazing.

Liked: Danica is the nicest people you will ever meet! She is just so helpful, genuine and really made our stay a pleasant one. We followed all of her recommendations and had a wonderful time in Dubrovnik and Mijet. She also recommended a trip to Makarska. The place itself is clean, safe, and has a very homey feeling. The view from the rooms is stunning. Breakfast was great with an amazing view of the bay from her patio with tons of books to do research on other parts of Croatia. The location was perfect. Away from the hustle of the city centre, yet a short walk to the ferry to Mijet and the bus stop that takes you to the old city. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Disliked: I was a bit weary of not having air con, but actually it wasn't bad with the little table fan. I felt a bit unsafe leaving my room open, but I really did trust that it was a safe property.

Liked: Danka was just the loveliest lady and greatest host ever! She picked us up from the airport and didn't mind when she had to miss out on a night because our flight was cancelled. She made us a lovely breakfast with all of her homemade things! She then told us all the best places to go in Dubrovnik, all of the bus information and it was down to her why our stay was so amazing! Highly recommend this apartment as you are made to feel completely at home and looked after. She made sure we were okay for kuna and she even cooked us lunch before we left. Super woman!

Liked: Danka is by far the best hostess I have ever stayed with in any country. She is warm, helpful and incredibly competent. We loved our stay at the property and its distance from downtown Dubrovnik was actually a bonus: we had an amazing view and the bus to downtown is a short walk from the house.

Liked: The Danica Guesthouse is like a home away from home. Danica was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to make us feel at home and to help us with the best way to spend our time in Dubrovnik along with planning our onward travel. The view from the rooms is absolutely breathtaking overlooking the harbour and the sea breeze keeps you cool during the night. I would definitely go back!

Liked: Fantastic Host. Danica was friendly, warm, welcoming & very helpful. Never realised how much this would influence staying somewhere but I think we loved Dubrovnik even more because of it. House was very clean, open, sunny & had a great view.

Disliked: Could be a bit far from old town & beach area for some people but we did a few day trips to some islands so it was a perfect spot for getting the ferries. Buses are regular & really quick to old town.

Liked: Danica is the friendliest person we met whilst staying in guesthouses. It had great views and was incredibly clean.

Disliked: It is a long walk to the old town but there is a bus stop nearby which made the journey a lot easier.

Liked: we loved Danica! she's so helpfull and nice. breakfast was always ready for us at any time, extremely clean and homely. brilliant view from the balcony.

Disliked: no air conditioning, but we had a fan. not very frequent buses to the old town(20min away).

Liked: Danica is a fantastic hostess, she was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. She makes sure you know the bus services, and if you want to do anything in particular she gives you lots of advice. The hostel is spotless, with a brilliant view of the sea. Just generally a wonderful place to stay, which i plan on recommending to anyone I know heading to Dubrovnik.

Disliked: Honestly nothing, the stay was perfect.

Liked: Everything! Danica is an wonderfull host! Danica picked us up in the old town and drove us to her place where we were welcomed with orange juice and a delicous cake. The appartment is only a short bus ride away from the old town and has an amazinhg view to the the sea and the islands. We would definitely recommend it to everyone. We stayed in dubrovenik 4 nights and the first 2 nights of our stay we stayed in a hostel in the old town and when we arrived in Danica we were SO sorry we have not stayed there the whole time. The hostela in old town are clearly over priced and we would not recommend them.

Liked: After travelling for 2 years all over Europe this has to be the friendliest and most welcoming accom I have had. Danica is a wonderful lady with the local knowledge you want when in a new place. Very generous and a great place to stay with easy bus to the old city and the BEST view you could ask for sitting on the relaxing balcony! We left feeling sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Liked: Danka was extremely helpful and gives great advice about sightseeing Dubrovnik and also the rest of Croatia, the place was clean, the views from the room were spectacular and breakfast was a plus!

Disliked: Had to take a bus to the old town (which wasn't a big problem for us), no wifi.

Liked: Danica the landlady was incredibly friendly. Picked us up from the main bus station. Dropped us off there early the next day. drove us into town (she was on the way to mass) and provided bus timetable and map of the old town. Great views over the city.

Liked: Our hosts were amazing. As soon as we booked online the were in email contact with us and organised to pick us up from the bus station for free. They then gave us information about Dubrovnik and because we had just arrived and hadnt been to an ATM yet lent us money in the local currency so we could catch a bus. Bus station for direct connection to old town is 2min away. The view from the rooms is the best we have ever had.

Liked: the best place we have stayed.. Marija is the nicest lady we have ever met.. She cleaned, cooked, collected us from the airport even after waiting over 3 hours for our delayed flights, she picked up our bus and ferry tickets to leave dubrovnik.. We were treated like royalty and would recommend this as they ONLY place to stay in dubrovnik.. the views are unbelievable watching the sun rise and set with a view of 10 croatian islands

Liked: This is the most fantastic accomodation I have EVER stayed in. I extended my stay by 2 days as the hospitality was so brilliant, welcoming and the apartment is stunning with views over all of Dubrovnik. Better than any hotel/hostel/B&B/guesthouse I have ever stayed in.
