Liked: The town centre is easy to reach by bus and you can walk down to the port in a matter of minutes. The walk back uphill to the guesthouse may seem daunting but you're rewarded by a cold drink and the most stunning view imaginable of the harbour and the islands. The best part was the lovely Danka and her family. They were amazingly welcoming and always ready to help us or to offer us tasty things to eat!We enjoyed it so much we decided to change our plans and come back a few days later. We're still very grateful to Danka for all her help. Thanks again!

Liked: The host was warm, friendly and very helpful, we had a late arriving flight, she picked us up from the airport and on the way back gave us a lot of information about Dubrovnik and neighboring islands. She was lovely. the room and bathroom were clean and spacious and the views from the balcony and terrace were beautiful. It was a great location just 15 minutes walk to the harbor for connections to the islands and a bus ride to the old town. Highly recommend!

Liked: The host, Danka was just the sweetest. She even prepared a delicious home cooked lunch after her son Tony picked me up from the airport! Then in the evening, after walking to the Old Town, she prepared a freshly squeezed lemon juice - and it was very refreshing on such a hot day! There was a pot of tea & biscuits waiting for me every morning too... and then in the evening she prepared jam pancakes!! Yumm!! Oh and best of all, the view is just beautiful! Her grandson Jacob is just adorable, and I wish her & her family all the best on the arrival of the grand-daughter. Thanks so much.

Liked: Danka, the lady who runs the guest house is extremely kind and generous. We arrived late at night and she had prepared some drinks and quiche for us. She was extremely helpful. She even fed us wine and pizza on our last night! The view from her place is spectacular. The hostel is not in the extreme most central location but there is a Monte Carlo view from the balconey. Other downside was there was no air conditioning. Otherwise I would love to stay there again.

Liked: Danica is such a great hostess. Its the best guesthouse that my girlfriend and I have ever stayed it. She even cooked us supper. Every morning she prepared us coffee and the view is AMAZING!

Liked: Danica makes you feel like you're at home in her guesthouse. She was so helpful with everything from getting into town to just chatting about the history of the area. We loved it there and the view of Dubrovnik was fantastic.

Liked: Danka and her family are just wonderful people to stay with. From the moment that her son met me at the bus station to the final dinner with Danka I was so well looked after. The guesthouse is great too with the rooms and bathrooms spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bus to the old city is regular and Danka provided great advice on where to eat and visit. I cannot recommend this place more highly for either solo travellers or couples. For a homesick solo traveller it was just what I needed. Thanks so much Danka for providing one of the best stays of my trip thus far!

Liked: As all of the reviews will say, the best part of this hostel is Danica herself- very cool, friendly, and interesting woman! Although the views of the balcony are spectacular, the only reason I can think of on why someone might not like this place is because it is a bit far from the old town. If you don't mind walking a bit or taking the local bus though, it's not a problem, and almost prefered if you want something more low-key and relaxing. If you have any connections through Gruz Harbor (ie. ferry to Hvar or Split), this is a convenient place to stay.

Liked: Danica and her family were really lovely and accommodating, and would go out of their way to help! They met us at the ferry port and took us to their house in their car, which was a great help. Bus stop not far from their house, so it was easy to get to the Old town from Gruz.Would recommend this to anyone! It was like a home from home!
