Liked: Danica´s guesthouse is really a small, friendly family place, where you have your privacy, cleanliness and safety during your stay in Dubrovnik. The bus to the heart of the town is really just a few steps from the house, and the view on the harbour and bay are magnificient. Danica is extremely friendly, and helpful in case of any questions related to Dubrovnik, and "what to do in Dubrovnik". We were a little worried about the privacy, but everything was ok - chatting with Danica is extremely pleasant, but when she feels you need your own space, she doesn´t mix in.

Disliked: There really wasn´t anything to dislike. It´s true, that the guesthouse isn´t directly in the centre of Dubrovnik, on the other hand, parking in the centre, and travelling with a car would have been more difficult and expensive there, so eventually, the possibility of accommodation a little "out" of the core of the city was welcome.

Liked: Nothing was too much trouble for any of the family for you. What a wonderful experience from being pickup up from the airport, given all the travel info we needed and the best way to go about things, ferries, buses, etc. The house was lovely and clean but still retaining the homely feel.You were even given coffee, tea, bread with preservse in the morning at no extra charge, even when it was an exellent price to begin with.The views from the balcony were superb which well made up for it being a little way out of town but to be honest it is lovely to get out from the husstle and busttle at the end of the day. Danica is one of the loveliest people I have ever met and hope to be back with her very soon.

Liked: The owner was very very helpful - she cooked us, and the other guests an amazing homemade traditional dinner (no charge). She also picked us up from the bus station and dropped us off (despite it being a very early bus). The room was clean and everything we needed was there.

Liked: Danica is incredibly helpful - I had the warmest of welcomes and the most pleasant of stays. Facilities were very clean and comfortable - couldn't have asked for much more.

Disliked: Ideally internet access would have been more convenient, but internet cafes are abound not too far from the house. It's a small guesthouse with only three rooms, so opportunities to meet others are minimal, but that hardly dampened the experience.

Liked: Danica was amazing, she picked us up at the bus terminal, sent us to the ferry terminal, made us breakfast, and told us all the sights and how to get there. Her hospitality made our entire stay in Dubrovnik incredibly special and she was just incredibly wonderful. The room itself was nice, comfortable and clean bed, shower facilities, and near enough the sights.

Liked: The hospitality from the first hello. We got fresh lemonade from Danica's lemon tree in her garden, and cookies which we enjoyed on her balcony overlooking Dubrovnik's sun set over the port.

Liked: Danica creates a warm and wonderful atmosphere for guests in her house. She was ever so helpful in advising us how to make the most of our time in Dubrovnik. In addition, the views from the balcony & bedrooms are breathtaking at any time of the day; the accommodation is spacious and Danika makes one feel at home. We even got to sample her homegrown pomegranates and grapes. The pick up and transfer service was reassuring on late arrival and very reasonable. We would go back in a heart beat.

Liked: Danica is very nice. She had fresh coffee, grapes and toast waiting for us in the mornings. She even insisted on driving us to our bus at 5:00am rather than have us walk down 400 steps or wait for a bus. If you are ok with a more bed and breakfast atmosphere, then this is good. If you want a bit more privacy (her son and grandson live downstairs and came up to visit while we were there), then maybe choose somewhere else. All this said, she gives you your privacy and is a very good hostess.

Liked: Danica was a lovely lady- very helpful and informative. She went out of her way to help us and make sure our stay was a good one. Despite the bad weather- we were in Dubrovnik for a cold and rainy few days on October- Danica made our stay a fun and interesting one and had lots of suggestions for things we could do despite the weather. She even picked up bus tickets for our onward journey to Split for us. We hope to return to Croatia in the summer and would stay again at the Danica guest house when visiting Dubrovnik.

Liked: Danika our host made the introduction into this country very special for us with her warmth kindness and helpfulness. You had the feeling she was genuinely sharing her comfortable home with us. The view over Gruz harbour from the balcony is magnificent and a delightful place to sit and have breakfast.

Liked: We stayed at Danka's house in sept 09, Danka was an amazing host we couldn't have asked for more, She even cooked us dinner one night. She was so helpful with were to go, how to get around and any other questions we had. Dubrovnik was a beautiful place and we had a lovely time there, but staying at Danka's was the icing on the cake. We also met some lovely people staying the other 2 rooms. Becky and Ian :)

Liked: Danka made our first few nights in Dubrovnik really special just by being her wonderous self. Three of her own rooms (with large beds) can be rented out in her home which have excellent views over the harbour and bay area and a balcony to sit and enjoy them over breakfast. Danka's hospitality, geniune friendliness and company was second to none, eating with her and other guests on a couple of nights. We liked it so much we stayed two more nights. I reccomend it for couples who enjoy a quieter and more genuine experience of Croatian hospitality. Thank you Danka for a great experience. Jon and Andrea, UK

Liked: Danica is very welcoming and extremely friendly. The hostel is very clean and well kept. Slightly out of the old town, Danica offers a lift sometimes, however the bus stops outiside her house. Danica offers a free pick up from the bus station.

Liked: Danica gives the best and warmest welcomes in Croatia and is one of the most delightful people we have ever met. We returned back from a few days travelling and felt we were returning to family. She had a full house and still managed to give everyone individual attention. The views from the house are breathtaking. Thank you Danica for making our experience of Croatia extra special!

Liked: Our landlady, Danka, was lovely. Very friendly and hospitable, and extremely interesting to talk to. She spoke excellent English. Our room had a wonderful view over the harbour and islands and dining on the balcony as the sun set behind the islands was unforgettable. Danka really made us feel at home, as one of the family.

Liked: Danica was so helpful and made us feel very welcome. The view over the new harbour in the evening was stunning and the old town is easily reachable, via a 15 min bus ride or a 35 min walk including stunning views but also 420 steps! Would stay again

Liked: This place has fantastic views of the port and harbour. The sunsets are to die for off your balcony. Its a little far from the old town but easy to get there with the bus. The best part of staying here is Danica herself. She is like your aunty who cannot do enough for you. She is a beautiful person who made our holiday pleasurable. Thank you so much!
