Liked: This really is a great place to stay. We were made to feel so welcome by Marija, she sent directions by e-mail before we left the UK, she recommended restaurants and gave tips on times to do things like walking the Dubrovnik walls (mornings and early evening best due to the heat) advised us on ferries and gave us the bus times to the Old Town. She really was outstanding. The location on arrival we thought oh my goodness great views but miles from everything, and it's going to be noisy being on the main road but completely wrong, views are amazing correct, the rooms are nice and quiet and the location is perfect too!. The bus that stops more or less a 5min walk from the house takes you right into the centre of the Old Town in about 20mins and being Dubrovnik if you do have a car like we had you do not want to drive it as there is a lack of parking so this guest house worked really well for us. If you want to get the ferry to Mljet you just walk down the many steps to get to the departure point, on the way back just pick up a bus or hop in a cab, if you are super fit climb the steps back up to the guest house. The rooms are in a private house it's secure, nice and quiet and you share the faciities with other guests and the owner which we were fine with. This really is a good place to stay and good value for money.

Liked: Very friendly and welcoming. Pick up and drop off at the bus station for free was great! Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the port area was lovely. Rooms were bright and fresh looking. A long way from the Old Town, but there are buses that run frequently.

Disliked: Quite a long way from the Old Town, but not unmanagable.

Liked: Property was incredibly clean and comfortable with the most amazing views! Cant recommend enough! Also very close to bus stop that connects ferry and coach. Danica could not ve more of a wonderdul hoast being so incredibly generous and welcolming we were made to feel at home immediatly

Liked: This place was great - it was extremely clean and cosy. I felt like I was at home. We were welcomed so warmly! The view from the balcony was amazing. The information given about where to go and eat and the map etc was really helpful and we didn't even have to ask for it.

Liked: The views from the balcony were amazing and Danica was overly generous, and even though we only stayed one night, we would most deffinately go back. The cleanliness of the house was impecible and we will reccommend this place to others in the future.

Disliked: We had to climb the stairs because our cab dropped us at the wrong spot, but it was our fault for not taking Danica up on her transfer offer. We couldn't fault it at all.

Liked: The property has amazing views of the harbour and the balcony where Danica leaves breakfast in the morning, is a nice set up. The bus to Dubrovnik old town is also right down the road. The place is very clean and Danica is more than helpful, I felt very safe and welcomed in her home.

Disliked: nothing to dislike

Liked: Danka (the owner) is a lovely lady who makes you feel very welcome in her home. When you stay with her its like staying with family. We had a great time staying there and would highly recommend it to anyone, but especially to couples.

Disliked: Nothing really. The road that the apartment is on is quite busy with traffic (but you dont hear it from your room) and so walking to the bus stop can be a little tricky....but the roads are busy everywhere in Dubrovnik!

Liked: The best part of Danica's guesthouse is Marija (the hostess) who is the loveliest, most friendly woman. She's always willing to give you information about her city and goes out of her way to make your stay pleasant. The house itself and the room is very clean and charming. There's an easy bus going into town.

Disliked: Nothing,

Liked: This was an amazing guest house to stay at. Danica was very helpful and the view from the balcony is spectacular. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and it was the best breakfast we've had since starting our travels!!

Disliked: Nothing. However there are 420 stairs from the beach to the house, but the view is worth every step!!

Liked: The location was perfect for getting to the bus station, port and also a short walk to the old town. Dancia also made the stay really enjoyable with loads of top tips of places to go and see.

Disliked: I wasn't able to stay longer.

Liked: The trip was excellent and we enjoyed our stay at Danica Guesthouse. The property is extremely well kept and Danica (and her family) are some of the most friendly people we have met. There is a wonderful view from the balcony which runs the length of the house and the facilities are good. Danica makes lovely coffee each morning for all of her guests and makes you feel very at home and relaxed. The location is a little way out from the old town but there are regular buses and we found that being out of the centre was good as you could get away from the hustle and bustle when you wanted to. Danica gave us a map and a bus timetable which was very handy. She also gave us information about all of the attractions and day trips to the islands which sit off the coast (Lokrum, Lopud, Mljet etc...).

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The view was amazing, beds comfortable, rooms very quiet. The highlight if of course the jewel Danica, who is very friendly, accommodating, generous and obliging!

Disliked: It's a ways from the old city -- but this can be a plus if you don't like noise at night!

Liked: What a lovely lady is Danija, she made us feel very welcome and looked after us really well. A free pickup from the bus station set the scene for a lovely stay. Great views over the bay from the balcony. The bus is convenient to catch into the old city or down to the bay.

Disliked: The stairs are tough but you can always catch the bus.

Liked: Beautiful view. The patio/deck is lovely. Danika is a most gracious hostess, very friendly, very helpful. She went way beyond what I would expect from the hostess of a guesthouse. Her English is excellent. We were picked up from the airport for a fee. Everything was wonderful.

Disliked: Personally, nothing. But, I do think that care needs to be taken when walking to and from the nearest bus stop, because it is on a busy road without a designated sidewalk. We had no problems, but if you are going out or coming back in the dark, it could be a bit tricky.

Liked: I wanted to take Danica home after our stay here. She is absolutely amazing and treats you like family. Her place is adorable and incredibly clean. She makes incredible Turkish coffee for you and will help you with absolutely anything. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone going to Dubrovnik.

Disliked: The walk to Old Town is around 45 minutes, a 15 minute bus ride (bus runs hourly for 10 Kunas and the stop is a few minutes walk from the guesthouse), or a 70 Kuna taxi ride.

Liked: I'm still in awe by Dubrovnik's beauty. There is truly no place on earth like it. The view from our balcony was so enchanting, breath taking and serene, I savoured every moment I could there and captured some amazing photos which motivate me even more to plan the next trip. It was as though I was visiting a long lost relative. Danka is such a remarkle, good hearted woman who made us feel right at home and ensured our time in Dubrovnik would be a memorable one. Without her tips and advice we probably would not have seen as much as we did in the short time we were there. I'm grateful for all her help and welcoming us in her home and can't wait for my next visit to Croatia. Highly recommended!

Disliked: The location of the property can be somewhat dangerous with cars flying by and no street lights at night. We got a bit lost on the first night and ended up at the wrong house haha

Liked: Danica is an amazing host and i second all the positive comments that have already been posted about her. The house has a beautiful view too.

Disliked: I think this accommodation is too far out. A taxi/bus is necessary and the former is pretty expensive. Although Danica gave us some lifts which was great when we did get a bus the road you are dropped on is completely treacherous - especially if it is raining.

Liked: I cannot recommend Danica's Guesthouse highly enough! My wife and I stayed there for two nights in September and from the minute we arrived to the minute we left it was a 5* experience. Danica collected us from the airport for a nominal charge, and it saved us a good two hours rather than transferring by bus. She then gave us a 20 minute orientation on the town's attractions, recommended highlights and local restaurants, and then dropped us right to the gate to the walled city! All three bedrooms are excellently maintained and opening out onto a terrace with stunning views over the harbour and islands. Two bathrooms are shared between the three double rooms, both or which are spotless with full bath and showers. On the second night Danica cooked a traditional Croatian meal for us and the other two couples staying in the house. She then dropped us to the bus station at 6.30am the following morning as we continued our travels onto Split. Overall is was an amazing experience, and her generosity and hospitality is amazing. As I said, we cannot recommend Danica's highly enough - 10/10

Liked: Absolutely everything! Amazing views from the rooms/balconies and very comfy cool rooms. Danica made us feel so welcome and looked after. She cooked for us one night and always stayed up with us to chat and have a drink. Her home-made Grappa is the stuff of dreams and you get a nice breakfast every morning! It's like staying with your lovely Grandma! She made Dubrovnik for us!

Disliked: Nothing, it was perfect.
