Liked: Our host gave us very useful information and recommendations, and even drove us up the mountain for some sightseeing and became our tour guide through the war museum! Definitely went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Liked: I had a wonderful stay at Guesthouse S&L. It felt like coming home at the end of each day. The view from my room was amazing and the place was kept super-clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and the location was very close to shops, bakeries and the fresh food market. Brilliant if you want to self cater. Ante the owner was very welcoming and helpful. I was collected from the bus station upon arrival, as well as each time I left and came back from other travels. Ante took the time to explain on a map where everything was, suggested day trips and which buses to take into the old town. I highly recommend going up to the top of the mountain with Ante. His narrative of the war museum is brilliant – he lived through the war after all. He also gave me a scooter ride into town one day. So much fun! One of the highlights of my trip through the Balkans was being invited into Ante's home for Christmas Day lunch and New Year's Day lunch. It was so lovely to share it with a family (children, parents and grandma) and the home made food was absolutely delicious. His family is so welcoming and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay there. Thanks Ante!

Liked: View from our room was awesome! Anti (owner) is really kind and friendly. Entire property is super clean. Location of this guest house is walk distance to main area.

Disliked: My husbank & I can't find any dislike about the property.

Liked: The Guest house was really good and very neat & clean. The owner (Ante) helped us a lot in getting around Dubrovnik. He even dropped us in his car till mountain top to see the view of Dubrovnik which saves us around 20 Euros. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone :)

Liked: Excellent owner who went out of his way to show us around Dubrovnik and take us to viewing places we would not have seen. The room was perfect, very clean and the bed very comfortable. It was also very quiet. Great value for money.

Disliked: It is a little hard to find, because streets in Dubrovnik can be stairwells...so find cafe La Luna, go left, crest the hill, and take the first set of stairs on the left.

Liked: Comfortable, clean, and good amenities. Very helpful, informative, and gracious host. Not right in the middle of the City, but easy to get to/from the Old Town.

Disliked: Glad we're fit and able to walk up the many steps to the property, and once learning the bus routes, using that to travel around town. Otherwise, might be a little challenging to someone who doesn't walk a lot.

Liked: i had a great stay here. The owner is so lovely, he was busy, but he still took me on the vesper into town! He greets you with a glass of juice and then shows you on the map everything you need to know, its brilliant, very helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, shared bathroom which is also clean. A summer beach house feel to the place. Its like staying in a home. Easy to get the bus to and from here, and only a short walk from the ferry dock...however it is up a hill. lets get physical....but they do say they can pick you up in arrival.

Liked: The owner Ante is one off the nicest people i have met! He really cant do enough to help you enjoy your stay,inform you off where to go,the best beaches,restaurants,bars,trips etc and the views from the balcony are fantastic! I had a late arrival (11 pm) and ante picked me up from the main coach station and also drove me and gave me a guided tour to the top off the mountain overlooking dubrovnik that had amazing views.

Disliked: I really cant find anything bad to say about this property.

Liked: Everything Perfect. Clean apartment fully equipped. Very easy to get to the old town by bus or possible to walk 20-30min. Owner expectionally friendly and helpful, provided lots of great information about the area. Picked us up and dropped us off to the bus station. Terrace with nice view to ocean/islands. Definately recommend staying here.

Liked: We loved the ambience, the views, the impeccable cleanliness of the place and the comfy beds. The kitchen is well equipped and kthere is free internet with a computer and printer as well as WiFi. What was truly outstanding is the hospitality of Ante who is the owner. He picked us up at the bus station, provided and excellent orientation including a bit of a sightseeing tour and during the course of our stay drove us to the old town 3 times! The bus stop is closeby for a very regular bus service and a few food shops nearby including a 24 hour bakery that has great pattisserie and breads! There was a washing machine for use and a washing service was also available. Great when travelling!

Disliked: Nothing really. We had a room with a view and private bathroom, but two of the rooms had share bathrooms so guess if that was a problem for anyone they would need to ensure they got one of the two rooms with bathrooms.

Liked: Put simply AMAZING! We loved our time at S&L guesthouse such a beautiful property in a safe part of Dubrovnik. Stunning views and everything you could want in terms of facilities. Ante and his family were helpful and welcoming providing us with tips, a pick up and drop off service and a drive to a spectacular look out point in Dubrovnik. Thank you for the excellent hospitality.

Liked: host very enthusiastic and helpful, the apartment was quite spacious and had great facilities - including a laptop with free internet! kitchen was also well equipped. overall would recommend staying here.

Liked: The owners were extremely nice and polite. They picked me up at the main bus station and left me there the following morning. They were very kind all the time and I felt part of the family. It was my first day in Croatia and the impression was really good. If I have the opportunity to go back again I will definetly choose this guesthouse.

Liked: I thought the place was excellent in terms of facilities and cleanliness, perhaps the cleanest accomodation I have stayed in and that includes hotels. The owner is extremely helpful and willing to help wherever possible. There is free internet access and a computer, which is always helpful.

Disliked: Be aware that the property is a 30-40 minute walk to the old town, or a 10 minute bus ride. Luckily there is a bus stop very near by but you are not as close as you might like. Also there are a number of steps to access the property or you can by pass them and face steep roads. Not a real problem if you are fit but may be an issue with kids or the elderley. Despite this small, unavoidable niggle I would thoroughly recommend this accomodation.

Liked: S & L was a beautiful location looking over the new port, waking each morning with views of the harbour is spectacular. Ante and Antoine were ever so helpful with information about their city. Exceptionally clean with warmth in the decor. It is an easy bus trip to the old city and there is great coffee less than 50m away at La Luna, best coffee so far in Europe!

Liked: The hostel had everything we needed in terms of a safe, secure and clean place to stay. The location offers peace and quiet and a gorgeous view. The owner was extremley helpful and had fantastic knowledge of dubrovnik. The first thing he did when we arrived was sit us down with a map and show us where everything in the city was. He explained how the buses worked and listed the buses we could take. We bought a 3 day travel card because it was too hot to do the 40min walk to the old tithown. But dont let the distance put you off staying here,the buses are so easy and its actually quite nice to sleep a little bit away from the crowd.

Disliked: A lot of stairs but thats just dubrovnik. Accept the free pick up from the hostel,its not much fun carrying a suitcase up those stairs in 30 degrees.

Liked: Ante was extremely helpful and nice! He picked up and dropped us off at the bus station, when we arrived he showed us a map of Dubrovnik, points of interest, and transportation. He even dropped us off in front the old city. The guesthouse is 5 min by car outside of town but easily accessible by bus, it has a beautiful view, if I come back to Dubrovnik I would love to stay there again! Free wi-fi throughout guest house, the bathrooms were very nice and clean, one of the nicest guesthouses I have ever stayed in.

Disliked: A little outside of town, but did not mind since it has a beautiful view and nice balcony.
