Liked: the owner is very helpful, you have to catch a bus into town and to go anywhere and compared to alot of other places in the town this is well over priced

Liked: Ante the owner is just such a wonderful person and he is so welcoming: picked me up at the bus station, showed us around, always makes great suggestions for things to do. As guests there, we are more than taken care of!!! It really is a little paradise :)) The location is perfect!! Ante's friendly personnality creates a great atmosphere at the guest house!! If you are looking for a place to stay in Dubrovnik, then look no longer, you have just found an amazing one :))

Liked: Extremely comfortable, very clean with all mod cons, helpful and friendly owner, couldn't ask for anything more really! Free internet & computer too which was a big bonus, and a nice kitchen/lounge area for chatting with the other guests.

Liked: One word: ANTE. He's brilliant. I have stayed in many placed across many continents and never have I had an owner as fab as Ante. Very knowledgeable, very interesting and he bends over backwards to make sure you have a great trip. If you stay here, make sure that you take up his offer to take you to the Fort - having stayed in the City during the bombing in the early 90s, his insights are invaluable. To the apartment itself, it's spotless and lovely. Free internet and TV (who knew that Al Jazeera had that many channels???) and a fantastically equipped kitchen. If you can, book either the double room or the twin room at the front - both have FABULOUS views of the harbour. Location wise, it's not in the Old Town, but this is not an issue in Dubrovnik as it's not huge. It's five mins walk from the main harbour and the bus to the Old Town takes about 7 minutes. Excellent place, excellent location, fabulous owner. Go see at once!

Liked: Everything is great, we have extended our time here - Ante is everything we hoped for: helpful, passionate about local history, hard working... the view is amazing, the place is spotless and modern, Internet works great, nice kitchen we can use every day.

Disliked: Bumping noises at night - doors or windows? Otherwise a great stay.

Liked: I have been travelllng since the seventies and I don't think I have ever met a more helpful owner/manager than Ante. He keeps the guesthouse immaculately, it is decorated to a high standard and the kitchen is very well suppplied. Both the new port and Lapad are very close and the Old Town is a 25 minute walk but well served by buses and Ante would often take guests in first thing in the morning, The two best rooms have a balcony but there is also a lovely terrace available for all guests. HostelBookers best rating is good but the S&L Guesthouse is excellent.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: What's not to like. Ante was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He even drove us around the town and showed us some of the sights. The place is clean, roomy and has everything you need. We stayed an extra night as we did not want to leave!

Liked: free internet in room and the location as well as the kitchion facilities and clean!! was great to have the person sit down with us and explain the map places of interest and buses ect with free oj :)

Liked: A great guesthouse in a good location with easy links to the Old Town. Ante the owner is really friendly and helpful, willing to pick you up / drop you off around Dubrovnik and advised us on where to go and what to do whilst staying there.

Liked: Owner (Ante) was very friendly and helpful and gave us good advice where to go. The guesthouse was in a quiet location with easy access to anywhere in Dubrovnik and was extremely well maintained with a great view of the harbour.

Liked: The friendliest hostess we had in all Croatia and very very helpful. Location is perfect, a bit hard to find, but well worth the search. VERY CLEAN.

Disliked: Very very clean! they have everything a traveler of all kinds need: free WIFI (or a computer with internet, laundry machine, full equipped kitchen and more).

Liked: Guesthouse S&L is the best accommodation during our vacation in Croatia. The room is clean the the veiw is good. The owner Ante is a very nice guy. He drove us to the old town and to buy the bus ticket. He also brought us to the the war museum and shared with us his own experience during the war time. Also, I like the grape in his garden.

Liked: Clean and lovely place to stay and Ante the host is brilliant, dropped us at our bus when we left, picked us up from boat another day without us even asking him.

Liked: The owner was very helpful with info about restaurants and supermarkets. He drive me in the old town after giving me my room. Acces to internet in the guesthouse was great. Full equiped kitchen.

Disliked: Too far away from most of the attractions. You needed to take the bus.

Liked: I backpacked around europe for 8 weeks and this was by far the best place I stayed. So comfortable, clean and the owner was so helpful. He picked me up from the bus station when I arrived and dropped me other places during my stay. I really liked the location as was close to the bus and ferry terminals and not too far from the old town . Fantastic. Thanks

Liked: Very warm welcome by Ante, the host who tells u everything you need to know and more.Free wireless internet, transfer to/from bus station or Ferry Port, satellite TV, fully equipped kitchen.By bus its less then 10' to the magnificent Old Town.

Liked: I have traveled around the world and I have not met a host like Ante. He is incredible. When we arrive, he was with us explaining for more than 30 minutes everything about the city and it was the perfect all the things that he told us. He knows all than a traveler must know. The room was perfect, very clean and spacious. You have a kitchen with all you need. There is also internet for free. You can also make the laundry.Thanks for everything Ante. Jose and Africa

Liked: The staff really took care of us and made us feel welcome. The rooms were super clean and had everything we needed. Great place!

Disliked: It was a little difficult to find at night, but that had more to do with the city layout rather than the place itself.
