Liked: Anna and Dane the hosts were very sweet and helpful. The lemonade and cookies when we arrived were wonderful. Anna also made us tea and lemonade at other times just because. Very clean and the view from the terrace was amazing.

Disliked: It is up many steps but it seems like all the places there are like that. You are sharing a house with the family but for the price thats fine.

Liked: Perfect Location for the Croatia sailing tours. Beautiful view over the small boat harbour.

Disliked: I chose this carefully from the reviews online and it was very different to what we expected. The guy who I believe runs the place was never there and asked us to leave our passports out while we were out as he needed information from them. Which prevented us going any where as leaving your passport with a stranger is a bit scetchy. No one spoke English which is fair enough its Croatia, but from the reveiws we were not expecting it to be quite as akward as it was. There was just one old guy there all the time and it very much felt like we invaded his house.

Liked: Possibly the nicest owners ever. We were greeted at the bottom of the steps by Danijella and shown to the house where we were served lemonade and ice cream on the balcony with an amazing view over Dubrovnik. The room was really nice and clean with a really comfortable big double bed. The place had a lovely homely feel to it and we felt so relaxed beeing there. Danijella gave us an A3 map of Dubrovnik and marked on it where all the bus stops and best places to go are with a little explanation about the city and how to get around it. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Disliked: Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Liked: My friends and I decided to stay here for one night because we arrived a day early for our cruise which started from Gruz harbour the next day. Anna and Dane's home is very close to the port but may be difficult to find on your own the first time. So it was great that they both came and picked us up in their family car and drove us to their house. Our room was lovely and clean and we had a little balcony where Anna brought us tea and cake when we first arrived. Dane offered to drive us to the harbour in the morning as well. They are a lovely couple and so welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here. It would have been nice to have the chance to stay for a few more days. Staying with a Croatian family would have a lovely way to experience life in the country.

Disliked: There wasn't anything that I disliked about the this property.

Liked: Friendliness of the owners and the perfect location of the hostel.

Disliked: It doesn't have an easy reachable telephone number, it's always answering machine.

Liked: Loved our stay here. Really friendly and helpful people. Will pick you up from the bus station if you ask. Loved the cold lemonade on arrival! Dubrovnik is a really nice place to visit.

Liked: The family were very friendly and helpful. They picked us up from the bus station and dropped us to the ferry port the next morning. Gave us welcome drinks on arrival, all in all were lovely.

Disliked: The location is not very good. It is about 10 mins on bus from old town. It is a good place to stay for the port and bus terminals if travelling around.

Liked: Lovely hosts and the rooms were bright and clean

Disliked: The location is deceptive on the maps, it was a good 20/25 minute walk to the old town, however it was close to the bus and ferry stops.

Liked: Clean, nice room with air con and Danijela and family were very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Have to walk up about 300 steps from the ferry port, but directions on website are perfect. About 2km out of town, but bus no.8 leaves every 30mins from just outside and only 10KN

Liked: The hosts were the most friendly people I have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble - they even collected us from the bus station on arrival.

Disliked: It's a little bit far out of the centre of Dubrovnik, but it is well served by a bus route which has pretty frequent busses.

Liked: Location was a bit far from beaches and old town, but still only a 20 min walk. Uphill it feels like further. The family is very nice, especially the mother who goes out of her way to accommodate. Cleanliness and security are top of the line. I think we didn't even lock our room, 1st time the whole trip. I would have like to be closer to town.

Liked: Lovely hosts! They were very welcoming, always smiling, they thought us croatian words. We were served coffee and pastries on the patio in the morning, it was just perfect!

Liked: Very friendly people: we were picked up at the bus station, and dropped off back there after our stay. When we arrived they gave us fresh figs from their tree, and a shot of schnapps to wash them down with!It's about 20-30mins walk to the old town (depending on how hot it is!) The room was very clean and comfortable. Great value for money.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and big with views to the Port of Gruz. It's a quiet place to rest and relax. The Old town is a 15 minutes walk or you can arrive by bus, although they're not very frequent.

Liked: The hospitality here was beyond amazing, the family owning the hostel are more than helpful and some of the nicest people I have ever met. The hostel is situated between the Old City (where most of the activity is) and Lapad, the more beachy area, locating you well for a visit to either. On arrival in Dubrovnik I would recommend taking a taxi to the hostel which is inexpensive. The view from the balcony of the rooms is breath-taking and we were regularly offered refreshments, we were even driven to the bus station on our departure from the hostel. Definitely a winner =D

Liked: The hostess is very friendly and welcoming. She offered us cold lemonade after our walk up the hill to get there (and said that, had we telephoned, her husband would have picked us up from the bus station). We were given a lift back to the station after our stay. This is a very quiet homestay, a 10 minute walk to the bus stop which is then 10 minutes to the old town. However, the location is peaceful and the view from the terrace is beautiful.
