Liked: First of all, the owner of the guesthouse, Sven has contacted us to confirm the booking and help out with whatever we may need shortly after the booking has been made. The officient and friendly. We felt very welcome as soon as we entered the apartment. It is not as close as some other hostels/apartments are, but not more then a 15 minute walk from the Old City. It is very clean and safe. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It offers everything you could ask for and more.Sven and Stanka are a part of our great experience in Dubrovnik!Also, you will be provided with all the information may need.

Liked: As soon as we got there, our host came to collect us from the station and invited us into his home for water and biscuits. He was very welcoming, showing us the best spots of the old town, and what islands to visit. He also will take you back to station on leaving (he got up at 7am to take us)!!! The room has a lovely view and the shower is really powerful. Overall its a great place to stay!!

Liked: Easy walk to the old city. Clean and comfortable. Lovely seating area outside with plants and distant sea views. The ownwr, Sven, was very helpful and offers free lift to bus station.

Liked: This was a spacious apartment that was very clean. Sven the host was really friendly and helpful and is in the apartment upstairs if you have any problems. He also picks you up and takes you to the bus/ferry port or arranges transport to the airport. It was in a nice area about 15 mins walk to the centre of the old town.

Liked: We enjoyed our stay at rooms Matea very much. Sven and his wife Stanka are highly professional as well as helpful. Stanka picked us up from the bus-station on short notice from our side and took some time to answer questions, giving us many tips and recommendations for activities in Dubrovnik. Both made even an effort to invite us into their house one night, we enjoyed some snacks and a nice conversation with them, through which we learned about croation history and people. At the end of our stay, Sven even got up and dropped us off at the bus-station at 6:30 in the morning, which we appreciated very much.The rooms are very clean and modern. You have your own entrance to the flat wich is on the basement of the house, including a fully equiped kitchen and comfortable living-room, as well as a beautiful terrace with many flowers and plants.The walk to the old town is a bit of a hike, but not too far off, about 15 minutes. We would highly recommend rooms Matea and wish Sven and Stanka all the best for their future.

Liked: It is a fanstastic couple that run the rooms, very generous, who include pick ups and drop offs to bus stations and go out of there way to ensure you have eveything you need. I will be coming back!

Liked: Super friendly hosts! Sven picked me up at the airport and made me feel very welcome. It was great to be able to talk with local hosts about Croatia and get advice from them. Sven sat down with me for an hour to outline my five days which was great. Both Sven and Stanka were fantastic and will definitely return to Rooms Matea when we return. A short walk to the old city and very close to a bus to go to Cavtat. A good location! Ask Sven about handball!!!

Liked: Great location for visiting the Old City, VERY helpful owners who took the time to give us restaurant recommendations and tips for the area, but also drove us to the bus station. Rooms are a separate building to the owner's house, quiet and private. Had a really great time in Dubrovnik.

Liked: Sven was really nice, helpfull and eager to advise and help us. It is definitally a great place to stay, charming and the hosts are great ! Really good value for money, and not that far from old City. Sven even dropped us to the ferry when we wanted to visit some islands around. I surely recommand the place.

Liked: Rooms Matea is located within a 15 min walk from the old town. Some buses go almost right outside of the property so you don´t have to walk/ grab a taxi if you don´t want to! The room was very clean and the facilities (toilet & stairs & outside) looked modern. The owners were VERY friendly, helped you when asked and welcommed you better than in any other place in Croatia! I would recommend this place!

Liked: Really friendly staff. Sven was really helpful, offering to pick us up from the port, drove us back to meet a bus tour at 7:00am and dropping us off again with out luggage. He also provided great restaurant and bar recommendations in the Stari Grad and locations of beaches.

Liked: Sven and Stanka are incredibly helpful and friendly! The house is beautiful and very clean. It's a bit of a hike (many stairs) to get home from old town, but that is Dubrovnik. It's a good value for the price.

Liked: As a couple staying in Dubrovnik for a few nights this place was just what we were looking for. The double room was really nice with amazing views out to sea and had a much apprieciated air-con unit. The bathroom was very clean and there was a handy fridge and kettle in the hall. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, offering to pick us up from the bus station and insisting to drive us to the port for our ferry. We have already recommended to friends and would definitely stay there again.

Liked: We had a wonderful in there. The owners were so lovely, kind and helpful with us. Explained everything about Dubrovnik and we also had time to talk about life and politics in Croatia. The breakfast is very good and the view even better. We strongly recommend this place for those who want to have a good time, stay in a clean and friendly place in Dubrovnik.
