Liked: Spent a week here, and loved it. Had a double room with own bathroom and shared kitchen, with a view of the harbor. Brigita was a great host, and a good laugh. Apartment was cleaned daily. On top of a huge hill, and about 240 odd steps down to the main strip but that didn't bother us too much. Nicola, the driver will take you anywhere in Dubrovnik you want to go, however, and even picked us up from the bus station and from old town after we'd been out on the piss til 3am a couple times with no fuss! Legend. He'll also ferry you about Dubrovnik if you can't be bothered with the steps, and bring you home! All he needs is a text and he or one of his other drivers will come collect you. Highly recommend this place, but be sure to organize for Nicola to collect you from where you get in to Dubrovnik by calling ahead

Disliked: Absolutely nothing, brigita was great and most helpful. Be nice to her!

Liked: Brigita and her family were very welcoming and friendly (her daughter offered us a drink when we checked in). The rooms were very clean, though ventilation can be challenging in some of them - but they do have air-conditioning. The property can be a bit tricky to find, because they're building new roads in the area and some maps aren't quite up to date, so call to get directions. Access to public transport is easy: bus 6, which runs from near Cava Beach (Babin Kuk) to the Pile Gate at the Old Town is just a few minutes away by foot and runs about every 10 minutes or so. There is also a supermarket nearby (Pemo) and a hypermarket a little farther (Tommy) that will allow you to take advantage of the kitchen facilities here. The property is spread between two buildings; the new one looks fantastic, and the old one is still in quite good shape too. We were very happy to book here again a week later as we passed back through Dubrovnik on our way out of Croatia.

Disliked: It's a bit tricky to find if you don't understand how the streets are in that neighbourhood, so just call for directions.

Liked: It's pretty far away from the old city but Nikola the driver took us there every day with no problems!

Disliked: It's more like a hotel than a hostel

Liked: If you don't want the bustle of the Old Town everyday then this is good. The air conditoner cools down the room very quickly and I was very happy for that in summer. the room and bathroom were also a decent size.

Disliked: Walking up and down 400+ steps a couple of times a day can get on your nerves a bit, especially when carrying groceries in 33 degree heat. It would also be good if the kitchen had more than one pot and one pan and a strainer. I saw one couple throw out their whole nights meal because the spaghetti they were trying to strain fell into the sink.

Liked: true they offet to pick you up anywhere and drive you to old town whenever you want (if the driver is available) but still we think it´s too far from old town and it´s uphill so the location ends up being a problem. Everything else about this place is good. So we kind of have mixed feelings about recommending this place. Overall we would try not to stay here again.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: Value for money

Disliked: It wasn't what we thought it would be. More suitable for young travelers, who don't mind a bit of noise. Too far to walk to Old town and busses are very busy and take ages to get through the very heavy traffic.

Liked: Great apartment with a kitchen and spacious living room. Beautiful views on top of the hill. THe place is new which was nice.

Disliked: hard to get to going up the hill as the streets are not well signposted. Also the owner can be a bit moody and is easily ticked off.

Liked: wow! awesome place. a little out of the old town but beautiful new apartments and fantastic value for money - Brigita is a wonderful hostess (??) would return to dubrovnik only to stay here again!

Disliked: a little far from town and ontop of a hill - not so nice for lazy bums like myself!

Liked: We had a fantastic stay at Bridgitas. She was very helpful, and gave us info and advice on getting around the town, to and from beaches etc. Thankyoy brigita and nikola. hope to be back!Kate and Stu, uk

Liked: Really clean and well kept apartments, and very secure. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the apartment was spacious and with air conditioning in every room. Brigita and her family, who run the apartments, were very helpful and gave us good directions to local buses and restaurants, and Nikola, her brother, kindly picked us up and dropped us off from the bus station and helped find us a lift to Montenegro.

Disliked: The owner is pretty strict about everything: although we were well-behaved (!) when we did some hand washing in the sink, drying it out on the washing line provided on the balcony, she was furious and shouted at us. Not so good!

Liked: Very friendly and helpful owner, the place was clean and newly furbished, we had a nice room with terrace, separate bathroom, and there was a kitchen too for the two rooms, so it actually felt like it was not a room, but an apartment.It is simple but very good value for money.

Disliked: Actually nothing, the only thing which is not excellent is the location of the property, which is quite far from the old town, but there is excellent bus connection, so you can be in the center in 5 minutes, and the buses are going until around 2 a.m., so you can hang out in the city for the evening. Even if it's a bit far from the old city, it is very close to the beaches, and has nice, clear air. I would absolutely reccomend it to everybody, and stay again here next time we will be in Dubrovnik!

Liked: The room was perfect and had everything we needed. We thought it was good value for money considering the price of alternative accomodation in August in Dubrovnik. Brigita & her brother were incredibly helpful. They organised our coach travel, picked up our tickets and took us to the coach station. They were very friendly and went out of their way to help us and make sure we were happy.

Disliked: Nothing, we were very happy.

Liked: Spacious, clean and good location.

Disliked: Located at top of hill so was a bit challenging for elderly travel partner to negotiate the uphill walk and 100's of stairs to get to the property.

Liked: Far from the city center, so car parking is not a problem, and the local bus line provides a convenient way to get into downtown.

Disliked: Room cannot be smaller, it is rather a cell. There is not enough place to put your stuffs either. We could not notice any sign of room cleaning during our stay. WiFi is practically unusable (available only from the yard, and even in this case the signal is weak, the connection is unstable and the transfer speed is close to zero). We did not get an invoice when we left. Overall a very poor value for money.

Liked: The staff were very helpful, if you get the early morning bus to Split they will drop you off and get you a discounted ticket. Very clean rooms and nice bathrooms.

Disliked: The walk up the hill to the hostel is very steep!

Liked: Brigita was very kind and helpful. She picked us up at the bus station at no cost even though our bus was late. The hostel was very clean, well run and had good amenities.

Disliked: Wireless Internet was not availablen from all parts of the hostel, but you could always use it downstairs.

Liked: Brigita was lovely and very helpful. You are offered transfers from the airport and ports which is fantastic as the town is very hilly.

Disliked: There was confusion on arrival as we thought that the advertised location would be where we were staying. However when we got there we were told that we were staying at another location, which was lovely but not were we were planning to stay.

Liked: We stayed in a private twin room, it was very clean, spacious and had aircon which was awesome! Brigita was very nice to pick us up when we arrived after getting off at the bus stop in the wrong place. I would recommend to stay here if you are looking for a quiet place to stay.

Disliked: Location was not that great, about 300 stairs to the main promenade, in the middle of the day walking back to the Hostel it was soo hot! I would only stay again with a car.

Liked: beautiful view, clean, safe, spacious, and central. its at the top of a hill, which can be challenging after a night on the town, but is enjoyable otherwise. Its a great landmark, easy to find, and a good workout.

Liked: Couldnt have picked a better aparment, Brigita and Nikola were the perfect hosts. A bit of a walk from the old town but close to bus stop and Nikola gives rides whenever you need them. Highly highly recommended
