Overview
The city of Dubrovnik, cut in stone below the hill of Srd, washed by the sea and surrounded by colorful Mediterranean gardens has always been the symbol of the pure beauty of nature combined with human creativity, love for freedom and sense of modesty.
Once a powerful tiny state, the beauty of which has always been the challenge and inspiration of artists as well as destination of numerous native and foreign visitors, the city of Dubrovnik is today one of the most significant Croatian and also European tourist centers.
The inhabitants of Dubrovnik, proud of its long and rich past, have always been loving and careful protectors of their native town, so that from 1979 it has been on the list of UNESCO. It is among the first cities in Europe to get the European gold medal for the protection of cultural monuments, awarded in 1976.
Dubrovnik is situated at the east coast of the Adriatic sea, so its geographical position is approximately 42,28 degrees of north width (a little above Rome and Barcelona) and 18,7 degrees of east length (approximately on the meridian of Stockholm).
Nowadays, the area of the Dubrovnik county includes basically the area of the Dubrovnik Republic, coastal area from Neum on the west to Prevlaka on the east, the largest part of Peljesac peninsula and all other islands along the coast (Mljet, Sipan, Kolocep, and some of the uninhabited islands).
Dubrovnik and its surroundings has its own modified mediterranean climate of dry and warm summers, but wet and gentle winters.
The average yearly temperature is 17 degrees celsius; 10 degrees celsius in winter and 26 in summer. Main attraction of this area is the crystal clear sea with the average temperature of 21 degrees. Gentle subtropical climate results in rich vegetation.

Location Information
The city of Dubrovnik is situated in the very south of the Republic of Croatia. It occupies an area of 364.05 square kilometers, extending from the Duboka Ljuta gorge in the east, near the village of Plat, to Imotica in the west - a distance of 53 kilometers.
The city of Dubrovnik is surrounded by a group of Islands known as the Elaphite archipelago (Sipan, Lopud, Kolocep (Kalamota), Tajan, Olipa, Jakljan and Daksa).
The Brogita rooms is located at Babin kuk, Lapad, very close to Uvala Lapad beaches and Copacabana beach.
