Liked: Clean, well-equipped & cozy apartment. The owner is friendly and is ready to offer help! The location is convenient, close to the old town. It is a bit uphill and one has to take 205 steps from the old town but that bit of exercise is still refreshing during autumn!

Disliked: nothing. Everything is nice!

Liked: The landlady was really wonderful to us,even welcomed us with an ice cold drink(beer for me and orange for my wife).When we needed help her daughter came to our rescue and sorted everything out.Maria made our stay in Dubrovnik one to remember.Get to use the No.8 bus from Pile gate to avoid the walk up the steps.

Liked: made very welcome - beer and cake when we arrived. superb location across the road from the walls of the old town. greaqt views from the rooftop terrace. very clean, all facilities good.

Liked: We stayed in the private double ensuite room which was big and well equipped. There was a fridge, kettle and coffee machine with filters and coffee plus a selection of teabags, and plenty of plates and cutlery. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with complimentary beer and juice, crisps and home-made cake on the terrace which had an amazing view of the Minceta Tower and the old town walls with the sea beyond.

Disliked: The room itself only had one very small window opening directly onto a pavement but there was good artificial light and we spent most of our time there up on the terrace. The room got a bit stuffy but there was good air-conditioning which rectified that. There were quite a lot of steps to reach the apartment from the old town but not too bad if you took it slowly.

Liked: Maria, the hostess, was lovely. She provided us with beer, juice, crisps and biscuits on arrival and baked us a cake later on during our stay. She was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very secure and had air-conditioning. The terrace above the apartment had stunning views of the old town, sea and islands. The only drawback was the 250 steps that you have to walk up to get there from centre of the old town. I would highly recommend this to a travelling couple looking for some friendly hospitality, peace and quiet but not necessarily for those looking to meet new people.

Disliked: There was no mirror in the bedroom.

Liked: Maria, though not speaking English well was a most sincere, welcoming and friendly host. One day there was a spot of rain and Maria supplied us with brollys. I overpaid as I forgot that I'd already paid a deposit but Maria was straight back to point this out and put it right, I couldn't praise her too highly. The room was spotlessly clean, the kitchen had everything we could wish for, coffee perculator, kettle, fridge, cooker, microwave etc. We were supplied with towels in abundance, far more than we needed. Really liked the roof top terrace where we would often enjoy a glass of wine with a view of the city walls and the cruise ships in the bay at the end of the day.

Disliked: Quite a few steps down to the city gate but that's just Dubrovnik, there are steps everywhere.

Liked: The bed was comfy, and the terrace had stunning views of the city walls and coast. We would stay again.

Disliked: We thought we were getting an apartment but actually we had a room (with fridge) , bathroom and corridor which had a cupboard and a kettle in it! There is possibly a full apartment here, so just be careful which bit you book! Also the directions are not very clear, they stop at the car park, you actually need to climb the 250 stairs adjacent to the city walls (that start in the car park) to reach the apartment. The only real negative was that we stayed 5 nights and none of the bins were ever emptied or bathroom cleaned which would have been nice.

Liked: Everything! The lady who welcomed and looked after us was so helpful, friendly and accommodating, so warm. The apartment was absolutely spotless and really homely. You couldn't find a more beautiful location for this place; directly opposite the old town Walls overlooking the sea. Lovely. There's nowhere else I'd rather stay to feel at home in this city..

Liked: Great location--near old city walls. Friendly and welcoming hostess.

Disliked: A little bit of a hike to main entrance--lots of stairs. It didn't bother us, but it probably wouldn't be good for an elderly couple or someone with bad knees!

Liked: Lovely lady who ran the apartment, made us delicious cake, and gave us juice and crisps on arrival! Private room had a nice little breakfast station with kettle and crockery. Good location by old town walls.

Liked: The owner of the property was very friendly and welcoming. It's in a good location with a terrace rooftop overlooking the old town. It's clean and reasonably spacious with all basic amenities. Recommended.

Liked: Nice apartment right on the edge of the old town in Dubrovnik. Nice staff, good kitchen facitlities & very clean. It's a little difficult to find by the # 8 bus. Best to catch bus # 1 from the min bus terminal & walk up the stairs when you hop off the bus at the old town.

Liked: We had a fabulous time at Villa Karla. The view from the terrace was amazing, and just a short walk from the old town (2-5 minutes). We were greeted by the friendly owner who offered us beer or juice and chips (for free! oh yeahhhh) on the terrace to look over the Adriatic and the old town. was so spectacular. We enjoyed every meal on the terrace, was divine. Thank you.

Liked: Fantastic host. She gave us juice and chips when we arrived cause it took us a while to find the place. Once found, the place is really conveient to the city wall (literally a 5 minute walk). The place had a nice terrace overlooking the city wall. We liked the privacy we had. Definitely highly recommend it. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.
