Liked: I used private room with balcony that see view. It's really nice. View was fantastic and there is a clothesline so you can hang the wash(It's really useful) Hostel hosts are very warm and nice. They can speak English so you dont worry about communication. nice wifi, clean kitchen, breakfast was good(bread,coffee,cheese,milk) I recommend this lovely house!

Disliked: It's little bit far from old town(It takes 10 minutes by bus, 20 minutes on foot, no problem!!!) But you go to dubrovnik! You have to see great view at the balcony:D

Liked: Ivan is so nice- picked us up and dropped us off at the bus station, and provided us with everything we needed for our short stay in Dubrovnik. One of the nicest places I've stayed in, it's seriously such a bargain.

Liked: very friendly staff, perfect view over the city and the adria, clean and very nice. I do recommend!

Disliked: it is up a hill, so you have to walk up to get home (but there is also a bus, which runs 1-2 times an hour). but the walk pays for the view.

Liked: IVAN and his wife were very helpul and kind. I stayed in a double room , it was so nice to stay and has a good seaside view. I am strongly recommend this place.

Liked: You get fit walking up the stairs! Breakfast is included, kitchen is fully equipped and of course, Ivan and his wife are super friendly.

Liked: Really friendly and helpful owners, clean rooms, nice view from the balcony, especially after sunset. Mr. Ivan precisely explained how to get to the old town, where to eat ( great restaurant at the old harbour with maybe the best prices in the old town), what to see etc.The wireless internet connection was very fast and for free if you have your own laptop.

Disliked: Breakfast is basic, could be more varied. A muesli with yoghurt or milk, or an omelet would be nice, but that's not a big problem.

Liked: Firstly, Ivan and his family are wonderful hosts. We accidentally had booked a day early, and consequently arrived a day late, but Ivan was wonderful about and it wasn't a problem at all. We were collected from and delivered to the bus/ferry. The breakfast was ok, room great, bathroom good, nice hot water. Ivan gave us all the information about Dubrovnik we could possibly need, and suggested restaurants, shops, buses etc.The house has great view!

Disliked: Nothing - lots of steps but that's Dubrovnik! :-)

Liked: I loved the breakfast on the balcony! It was laid out in the kitchen and we took it to the balcony at Ivan's suggestion. Ivan was a great host, as mentioned before. Picked us up from the bus station, helped with bags, explained best ways to get around, and recommended great places to eat. Wifi password available at request. Also there is satellite TV and a well-stocked kitchen.

Disliked: Very few drawbacks! The walk down to town is not bad at all, and the walk back up to Villa Ivan isn't that bad if you've got healthy legs. Also, the rooms are not very private, could hear the people next door. I would still stay here again! Very, very much worth the price.

Liked: It was clean, very good value for money and Ivan and his wife were very helpful.

Disliked: A bit of a walk from the old town, it was ok heading out but on the way back you had to climb a lot of steps... then again apparently there is a bus which drops you near the villa from the old town.

Liked: Ivan and his family are extremely helpful. They offer a free transfer service from the port and other transfer services to and from the airport at a low cost. Beautiful location, with great views. Easily accessible by bus. The old town is just a 10 minute bus or 20-25 minute walk.

Liked: It was a great choice. It had fantastic views, the room was clean ,comfortable and air -conditioned and most of all Ivan and his wife were friendly and helpful. Ivan picked us up from the airport , drove us around and gave us all the info on Dubrovnik. We would certainly recommend Villa Ivan to our friends.

Liked: Owner of the villa is very friendly and explained everything about Dubrovnik to us. Room is very clean. You can also enjoy breakfast on the terrace with superb view of Dubrovnik! Although it's located a bit away from the Old Town, you can walk or catch a bus to the old town in 15-20mins. We enjoy very much our stay in Villa Ivan!

Liked: Ivan and his wife and his wife were so friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The location was great as it was quiet and had amazing views of the harbour and Lapad peninsula. Although it was up a very big hill with lots of steps, it was only about a twenty to twenty five minute walk to the old town and there are many buses there and back and a taxi back at night was only five euros. It was also a very short walk to Babin Kuk to the restaurants on the beach there.The double room we had at the beginning of our holiday was amazing as the views from the balcony were spectacular. We had a triple for the two nights at the end of our holiday as there were three of us, and although the triple doesn't have a balcony or view, it was good value, clean and comfortable and there is a shared veranda with views next to the kitchen.I would definitely stay at Ivan's again. He picked us up from the airport and gave us a tour of the town before taking us to the guesthouse which was very helpful. When our flight got cancelled due to volcanic ash of the day we were checking out, he was so helpful and phoned the airport for us and tried to sort things out.

Liked: Ivan and his lovely wife have a beautiful home and offer very comfortable rooms. Their apartments have superb facilities and are located in a nice area close to the port which sets up a fantastic view from the private terrace. Ivan was kind enough to pick us up from the airport late at night with no notice, if that isn't hospitality then I don´t know what is! You will definately get value for money if you choose to stay at Villa Ivan.

Liked: Although the location is hi in the hill, you can be there just by the bus, thats the only main disadvantage, even though, Ivan, the owner was very friendly, gave us all the info about dubrovnik, made us feel as in home, and although the hostel is far from old town, and high, the veiw you´ve got from the private terrace, and of the sunset, is one of the most amaizing sightseeings ive taken from croatia!!!

Liked: Ivan and his wife are just great! They are really friendly and make sure you have everything you need! Only problem is that it is quite a walk to the center, but you can take the bus... And it was still worth it because the view of city is quite amazing!
