Liked: Clean, spacious room. Nice outdoor areas with sea views. Friendly host. Close to old town.

Disliked: We couldn't use wifi inside our room only outside.

Liked: Very close to old town and easy walk to Bonje Beach, very safe area and all rooms are big and bright, with a decent bathroom and comfy beds.

Disliked: Forgot who we were when moved our bags from one room to another, yes they're are lots of steps BUT this is Dubrovnik, you have to except it!

Liked: We were staying for 2 nights, the first night we were actually in a neighbours apartment, which was close by and was also very nice. The second night we were in Apartment Ramona, the owener moved our bags for us during the day, which was helpful. The room was very nice and the bathroom and bedroom had everythign that you would need.

Disliked: The directions should be better! We weren't planning to cook but I don't think the kitchen facilities were great.

Liked: we loved our stay here. We were greeted by the most wonderful hostess and her kitten. the view is unbelievable and the whole experience was amazing. the flat is perfect in every way. Dubrovnik is very touristy so we escaped to the islands or simply enjoyed having a drink on the epic balcony with a view like i have never seen before. unforgettable!

Liked: Stunning views and a lovely terrace. There are a lot of steps from the old town which will keep you fit, overall a great stay.

Disliked: No linen change but the family next door were very friendly so i am sure you could ask for some.

Liked: the owner is incredibly nice, welcoming and helpful. the room itself that we stayed in was a bit small, but very clean, and the common terrace outside is great. overall, good value for money!

Disliked: the room is bit too small, so you'd rather need to spend most of ur time outside.

Liked: It has a lovely terrace we used for meal times and the manager (family) is extremely helpful.

Disliked: There are a lot of stairs to get there, which really didn't bother us. There are a lot of stairs throughout the old city anyways.

Liked: This hostel was more like a homestay. The owners are welcoming and live on site. They gave us a drink on arrival and also delicious pancakes at around 9 o'clock at night which was so nice! Would definitely recommend this place.

Disliked: The only small thing is that it's up quite a large hill. But Dubrovnik is based at the bottom of a hill so it can't be helped!

Liked: Property had perfect location, less than 10 minutes walk to old town of Dubrovnik and maybe a couple more to the nearest city beach (buza 2). The view from the terrace was amazing - panorama of old city and closes island. The owners are great people and they are really looking after you!! They make the best ice tea :)

Disliked: There was nothing to be disliked!

Liked: Very friendly and helpful owner family, who offered teas, fruits, homemade cookies and aperitive, beautiful terasse, peaceful place, well located, a little paradise above the old town of Dubrovnic, worth its money. note: easy way of finding the house:coming with shuttlebus from airport ask driver to stop near Pinkys (bar restaurant) then zagrebroad between public garage and Pinky bar Restaurant some stairs going up with two stone lions above the wall. this is Ivana Mazuranica, then up some stairs and right to number 10.

Disliked: there was nothing which we didn't like

Liked: The bathroom is really nice and you only have to share it with a couple other people. Air conditioning (very powerful)!! The family was nice and gave us crepes at our last night! pretty view and cool terrace to hang out on. They gave us a cold drink unpin arrival.

Disliked: Verrry hard to find. Far up a hill- if u have luggage that makes it ever more difficult. Maybe ask the family or a ride in advance. They seemed pretty unorganized and it basically seemed like they didn't know we were supposed to show up.

Liked: The room was clean and the bathroom was in great condition. The kitchen facilities were helpful for breakfast and snacks although it might be a bit cramped in the kitchen if you wanted to do any serious cooking. The garden area and outside table was great for hanging out and visiting with other guests and the owner was very friendly. She brought us iced tea and cookies when we arrived and brought us fruit and vegetables from her garden whenever we were eating on the patio. It is quite close to get in to the old town and even though it is still up a long flight of stairs from the old town, it seems to be in a lot better location than many other rooms in the same price range.

Disliked: Everything was great!

Liked: Nice and cozy place to stay, close to an old town, kitchenette has everything you need - kettle, coffee maker, cups, glasses, plates and cutlery. Nice surroundings as there is a garden and terrace with a great view. There is a small kitty and a parrot who you can play with. Room was modernly decorated and very clean.

Disliked: Room and bathroom a little bit small, but honestly you don't need much more space when you are on holiday. We needed to wait for an owner as the room wasn't ready for our arrival and it was after check in time, but his mother had made us a coffee with biscuits, so cannot complain!

Disliked: "Receptionist" couldn`t spoke with us because of missing language skills. Rooms are really small.

Liked: Very clean. Owners were very friendly. Made us pancakes and served a homemade apertif to us! Lovely views from the terrace as well. Close to the old town as well.

Disliked: Our room was double booked so we were offered a room in the house next door which turned out ok but we did feel a little like we were imposing. The room was very hard to find - even after contacting them to find them. They did try to be helpful but we spent a lot of time trying to access the property. Perhaps ask for clear directions ahead of your arrival.

Liked: Funky and modernly decorated room. Very comfortable, clean and spacious... Private patio with seating upstairs to enjoy the good weather with a fantastic city and sea view. Only a 10min walk into the Old Town, so probably as close as you're going to get for this excellent price!

Disliked: Had to sit outside to use wi-fi. Steep stair climb to and from Old Town, but shouldn't be a problem for most people!

Liked: The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We received an amazing upgrade upon arriving, which meant we had a self contained flat for our use with wonderful views from the terrace. The kitchen area was great for cooking & breakfast as eating out was quite expensive. The apartment was within walking distance of the old town (10 mins). I wouldn't recommend it for people of ill health or mobility problems as there are a lot of steps up to the property - but if you are fit and healthy and don't mind steps like us - I cannot recommend this property enough. The owners brought us coffee and pancakes on our arrival and homemade cheesecake on our last day. A lovely gesture. Good value for money - Stay here or you will regret it.

Disliked: The property can be hard to find, as it is not sign posted or marked as apartments. Best way is to ask at the tourist information when the bus drops you off from the airport or use my directions below-; From Pile gate - go back up the street the bus has just driven down and to your left you will see a long set of steps - go up these. At the top, turn left, then turn next right up another set of steps. This will take you to a main road. Turn left at the top of the steps. Walk along this road, past the cafe and bakery until you come to some steps with lions on the top. Go up these steps until you reach number 10 - go through the gate, until the end where you will find the apartments marked LOVRIC.

Liked: It was really close to the city, 5 min walk only. A really nice view from the terrace.

Disliked: The was no circulation of the air in the room or in the bathroom. The wall of glass between the room and the bathroom was a little bit strange!!

Liked: Hotel Romana is in a great locaiton, we walked to the Old Town every day which only took about ten minutes. The rooms are clean and generously sized. If you arent looking for all out luxury then this is a great place to stay if you are on a budget. Great value for money and lovely owners.

Disliked: The walls were a bit thin and you could hear the neighbouring room a bit but for the price we paid it wasnt that bad.

Liked: Very friendly staff and the location is perfect, not in the crowdy center but still close. Very nice view over the city and a nice place outside where you can sit and enjoy a breakfast in the morning. Modern beatiful rooms.
