Duncan PiperHad an amazing time in Dubrovnik, thanks to Nicky for looking after us and for his useful advice. Great place to go, make sure you visit the fort museum overlooking the town. |

emma neurathThis was honestly the most amazing "hostel" experience i have had on my travels so far. Just like being at home - except with the nicest, friendliest family who tend to your every need. My friends and I ended up staying an extra 4 nights and could have stayed an extra 10. Nicky and his family are exceptionally welcoming and the least i can do is leave them this review. Don't let its location (only a 10min bus ride away from the city centre) put you off - there is a bus stop right out front - it is more worth it than i can express. Thank you for everything!!!! |

Lakshman RajaduraiNicky and his family are very welcoming, including free shots when we first arrived! Not in old town but a bus trip away, more hotel style than a hostel but would definitely recommend it. |

Donna LinIf you are going to stay in Dubrovnik you have to stay at Nicky's or you're really missing out. This place has everything you would want from a guesthouse ie; very clean, hotwater, complimentary tea/coffee in the morning, secure rooms, good location, helpful friendly staff, nice outdoor communal area, great place to meet other travellers, and so much more. We were astounded by the beautiful view outside the window. Don't know why people don't give this place 100% for location cos the view was amazing and it was only a 5 min bus ride to old town and 5 min walk to the shops. It's away from the crowds of old town but if you want to get in amongst it you can. However best thing bout this place was Nicky. Nicky was AWESOME! He picked us up from the bus station when we arrived, gave us comprehensive information about Dubrovnik sights and how to get around (his english is amazing) and offered to give us tours of his own. Gave us his cellphone number and basically said we could call him any time if we needed help (which we did when we got lost and were on the bus in the middle of a storm... he came and picked us up :P) Overall great guy, good laugh, we loved our conversations, Friday night was a blast, we had fun (it was AWESOME!!) :) We've travelled all around Europe over the last 2 years, this has been the best hostel/guesthouse we've stayed at by far!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! keep in touch Nicky! Where's that Guns n Roses t-shirt you promised me? Donna and Kezia xoxo |

Simone HunjakWe had the best time at Nickys Guesthouse... Nick was so helpful when we stayed with him. The hostel is also a great place to meet new people. One night he took us all to his Uncles restuaurant and were back at his place drinking Rakija till the early hours... BEST HOSTEL EVER! |

Jonathon HeyhoeWe flew into Dubrovnik and Nikola picked us up from the airport and was a really good source of information for us. We hadnt been to Croatia before and he told us all the best places to go; on the first night he even got his uncle to pick us up and take us to his restaurant, where the seafood was amazing! The atmosphere was great in the guesthouse as there is a good communal area and the family are really helpful and unobtrusive. Nikola took my mates (but not me cos i had a stinking hangover!) and a couple of girls we met for a tour of the fort and other notable places from the war and gave them a really good insight into what happened - they were really impressed and as the family stayed behind when a lot of people fled Dubrovnik this is an opportunity you wouldnt be able to get anywhere else. The only downside is that the location is a fair trek out of the old town, but you can get the bus there easy enough and we didnt mind the walk. I would definitely recommend this place! |

Customer reviewVery nice owner and staff. The location is the downside: on a hill and the bus is only hourly. |

Customer reviewWe had a really fun time staying in this lovely family-run accommodation. Nicky went out of his way to help and be friendly. The rooms were spacious and the air conditioning was a blessing when we got in from a long day sightseeing! |

Wee Kee TohNicky Guesthouse is one of the best hostels we stayed in for our eastern europe tour. Nikola and his family was very hospitable and we really enjoyed our stay here. When we reached Dubrovnik, Nikola picked us up from the bus terminal, and treated us to his home-made Rakija (Croatian whiskey). The place itself is pretty new and clean, and it was a very pleasant stay. The view in the evening is also really good, with a nice sunset view. The best thing about Nicky Guesthouse is that the entire family is very friendly and helpful. When we had problems with our flight (cause skyeurope went bankrupt), Nikola loaned us his laptop to search for alternative arrangements. We ended up having to leave Dubrovnik a day earlier, and they actually waived the extra night rental for us. Besides, they consistently assured our stay with them was good and made sure all our requests are fulfilled. This really made us feel at home. Overall, it is really a wonderful hostel and we would definitely recommend others to stay here. |

Customer reviewthe most impressive thing about the property was the ownder Nicky. he was fantastic. picked us up from the bus station and even picked us up from the middle of no where when we were lost. he offered us tea and coffee in the morning and introduced us to other guests. he was just fantastic. the house wasnt in the best location, but a 10 min bus journey took you straight to the old town and u could walk to the new town. had fantastic views. |

Amy ForrestA clean and homely hostel with the most fantastic family as hosts! Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were taken on an awe inspiring and moving trip to the fort where Dad had fought in the war - more insight than could ever be gained at a normal museum. Drinks a plenty, sightseeing advice and offers of transport were great - Nicky was also always at the end of the phone when needed! A little way from the new/old towns but easy to walk down and an hourly running bus back - the view of the harbour from the room made it worth it though! Thanks Nicky! |

Ciaran McCaugheyNicky was a very friendly host. We arrived late but he was waiting to greet us with rakia and watermelon. The hostel was clean, fun and had incredible views over the bay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that intends to stay in Dubrovnik. He even took us to the bus station free of charge at the end of our time with him! |

Customer reviewThe family running this hostel were very helpful and kind. They organized a great breakfast for us at short notice (there were 10 of us in our party). It is a good place to stay although not sure how far from the centre of Old Town it is as we were only staying one night before moving up the coast. |
